I liked it VERY much. The coreography is modern-contemporary, so the feet can be sickled or flexed from what I have seen, and it is just the coreography. She is such a vesatile dancer and she constantly amazes me. Her partner was equally as spectacular and he partnered her very well. The music was perfect.
A really different aspect of ''Les signes''. Sincerely Carolyn Carlson hadn't something like this in her mind when she made the choreography of this performance. This choreography approach a really different point of view of René Aubry' s music.
Being how wonderful she is It is safe to say that she was purposefully sickeling her foot she graduated from the vaganova ballet academy , and would not be where she is today if she had such a bad habit of sickeling
I hate the fact that Andrey is merely a prop for Sveta in this choreography, as well as in many others. He is such a brilliant dancer, but is always used as a sidekick... What a waste.
But the point is, whether it is this piece or "Tristan and Isolde", her partner had to be Andrei Merkuriev or it wouldn't have worked for her (and for the audience).
They look like ballet dancers trying to do contemporary work. take her out of the pointe shoes and lets see how well she fairs at more grounded, visceral dance. it was too spastic and nerve racking.

I've watched this like 9 times and it NEVER gets old. It is AMAZING. I love it.

Zakharova and Merkuriev are a brilliant partnership. And Merkuriev is allways electric!

The title of this music is 'Signes' by Rene Aubry. I just found it two seconds ago!!! The album name is Signes too I think... :)
