Fun fact! The mantis shrimp is a truly fascinating creature. They hunt by punching out their large claws at fish that draw near their burrows, and they can punch with enough force and speed that they BOIL the water around them when they punch. They punch so hard that it creates a shockwave, which stuns the fish, and they then drag it into their den and eat it. Mantis shrimp have about 18 cones in their eyes, whereas humans only have 3, which means mantis shrimp can see a color spectrum far more complex than humans can. If a mantis shrimp were to punch a human, they could break their ENTIRE arm in a single punch. You'd never expect something so small to be able to output so much raw power, but hey, that's nature for ya.
