What is Chronic Pancreatitis? 00:16
Chronic Pancreatitis is commonly a nagging problem. The patients of chronic pancreatitis can be diagnosed incidentally when we do an ultrasound or CT scan. Sometimes patients come with severe abdominal pain where they are not able to eat food comfortably, losing weight, diabetes, oiliness in the hands.
Why take an ultrasound abdomen test? 01:16
ultrasound abdomen is used to see how is the pancreas, whether there is a duct or stones present. Sometimes it may affect the bile duct. Bile duct may get enlargen.
What are the causes of Chronic Pancreatitis? 02:13
Alcohol is the main reason for the cause of Chronic Pancreatitis and in some cases, it is related to hereditary or some genetic mutations or some food grains.
Whether I need treatment for Chronic Pancreatitis? 02:52
When the patient has chronic pancreatitis, If there is no pain. The patient can continue with medical supplements.
If there is pain, make sure to consult a doctor ASAP. Even still pain occurs, then the patient should go for surgery.
Whether I go to endoscopy treatment or surgery? 04:11
Endoscopy treatment is used in very very limited situations. Even after stenting, if the pain is persisted. Immediately should be changed to surgery. Surgery is a simple routine surgery that gives an excellent result. but there is a lot of caution to the surgery, it will elevate your pain though not in almost all cases. In around 60-70% of patients, the pain will be decreased.

Sir, I take betamethasone0.5 tablets 6months ones daily. It's increases my blood sugar. Fasting 6.7 after meal 7.9. Before taking this drug my blood sugar was fasting 4.4
