1969 VW Beetle- Classic

The year was 1969 Apollo 11 Landed on the moon, Abbey Road was the last studio album by the Beatles and in April of "69" we had the highest number of troops in Viet Nam.
You are looking at a few of many photos of my 1969 beetle.
A complete body removal restoration with every nut, washer, bolt, strut, shock, wire, carpet, tires, interior, seats, padding, etc. etc., restore of 1600 cc engine back to new with hundreds of receipts.
I did my best to bring back to original condition. Back to original Diamond Blue color. Alignment just completed runs and drives like a charm.
Not original: New AM/FM radio, upgraded seat belts, 4-disc. brakes.
Could not get working correctly would be the inside pulley assembly for gas tank, and the pulley for the trunk.
When you see the photos you can see the original car when I got it. I took every thing apart and started from scratch, stripping the old paint off the body, doors, fenders etc to metal. Primed, Painted. Pans were replaced and welded back to frame, also captain cap replace with new. I coated all the under parts of the car with POR. New fuel lines, brake lines you name it was done.
