    Thanks. Just found your video. It's a "complete" disassembly & re-assembly vid and is all that is needed to get access for most cleanings. Procedures also work well for the PTR 32 (7.62X39mm).

    Great video. I have had mine out only one time so far this year. The only thing I don't really like on mine is that the charging lever is very difficult to move toward the operator. Maybe it will get easier with additional use. At least I hope that is the case. I can tell from seeing yours that I do not have nearly enough grease on any of it. Maybe after I grease it, it will get easier to operate. It is a very accurate rife and that was the primary reason I got the rifle. Take care and stay safe. Again, great video.

    • @filiphaglund7817
      @filiphaglund7817 Před 2 lety

      My main gripe with this weapon is how awkward the safety is to operate. I by no means have small hands, but I feel like it was designed for people with thumbs that are at least 15-20% longer than mine are. I almost always have tilt the rifle slightly sideways to get a better reach for the safety.

    1 the lever isn 't ment to be pushed down
    2 when you Mount the head of the bolt. Push it to the bottom, pull it at bit foreward - as you did - but then push and roll the rolls, and the head Should move foreward to the coerect position.
    3 you can use the strap around the head if it is hard to turn it
    4 when assemblying Some just pust the head to the bottom and then inserts the bolt backwards in the frame and gives it a hard push, so the rolls are knocked back in place. Dont do that...
    5 the carabin in the strap can be used to unscrew the mussle break by putting it in the Groove it has.
    6 the handle Should be slapped down when loading. It is the correct way and it is half the fun. You accually risk getting a malfunction if you don't slap it. And people Will point and laugh.
    Beautiful gun

I got it home that afternoon and cycled the action and the bolt came out of the ejection port :-/ And nights of CZcams videos learning about the HK-91, Really a couple great videos on this now including this one. No tools required, but gloves are recommended...push, rotate click, rotate the other way are the rollers out, rotate, yank real hard...repeat 'til it looks right. Designed right? Maybe the early manuals ended the field-stripping before removing bolt from the carrier? :-)

      1Guy1SonyVegas If you get caught by the ATF with the 3rd pin in your firearm and you don't have a class III license or the title to a class III firearm with the third pin then you will be spending a lot time at "club fed" and have to pay a 10K fine to boot. The ATF looks at any select-fire parts on a firearm as the intent to build one even if all of the parts aren't in the gun to make it select-fire. Thats why people use a fake third pin, because its just the head of the pin and nothing else.

      +1Guy1SonyVegas this all depends if the cop knows anything about the pin. but even just the third hole will get you in trouble. the pin holds the auto sear in place on the reciever. And this metal lower was restored by someone else who installed the head and tail of the pin. I didnt even know it had it.

    The PTR91 isn't a clone as it's made om the H&K machinery & tooling purchased from H&K. H&K no longer makes them. So, PTR Industries bought the tooling and machinery and they are "same as" except for a few upgrades.

    • @tellrowland5203
      @tellrowland5203 Před 5 lety

      That's what clone means. Same rifle, different company. A 91 is not a ptr design so it has to be called a clone.

    Not the right way to put the bolt carrier together, no force neccesary. You didnt know and didnt explain the purpose of the window ...

      At least he's not trying to force a screwdriver in like in the old video. That was actually painful to watch. This rifle has been issued to millions of soldiers and there are manuals for this stuff. No need to try and figure it out for yourself.

    You really are not supposed to tamper with the gun. It should be left together as it was made. Monkeying with mechanical objects only degrades there performance
