Jeez, I haven't heard a Sansui in 20 years - I got goosebumps listening to it over youtube. I would love someone to put this receiver against the likes of McIntosh, Technics SU-R1000, Rotel Michi etc. My money is on the Sansui.
The greatest band ever!! I have a 9090 also, I run mine with Cerwin-vega hard rockers (417R). Bought all this when I was 18 and still living at home. Mom hated that I played my music loud, so I moved out!

@@herrtrigger7220 I know nothing about Phonos but I used to play vinyl on a Sansui with Bose 901s. It was insane. I don't doubt that they could compete with anything today.

You have blown scale light bulbs. A tune bulb other than signal. But Pink Floyd and Sansui are good.😊

Sounds like you have a good combo in the makings, Focal's are great sounding speakers

Just using the Sansui 9090db's phonostage
Marantz, Pioneer and Sansui all had awesome phono sections up till maybe 1983. None were better than the 9090, it's even great today.
