If you’re here for what I was skip to 6:34. Thanks for taking the time to make this video both to the gentleman being interviewed as well as the channel.
I was an aircraft armament specialist 46250 was the career field number back in my day! I went to tech school at Lowry Air Force Base I Denver Co! I was assigned to the 1st special operations wing at Hurlburt Field Fla as a weapons mechanic on the weapons systems on the AC 130H Gunship! Awsome unit to be assigned and great place to be stationed!
@@mintybleach6396 same as in you are shipping out in December? the same job as me? both? That would be pretty cool if we end up becoming friends in basic or in tech school!
@@mintybleach6396 Well, it's a very important job to make sure ammunition is working properly and all that. I don't care if people say it's a bad job, as long as I do things right and have the right attitude, I will do well in the Air Force.
You’ll love it. At the end of the day it’s what you make of it. For me I love the recognition, rush, and feeling of accomplishment I get. Remember that you can always cross train too
Since you're retired do you know of any civilian jobs this would help me get into after I get out? (I was just assigned this job yesterday and my shipdate is in November)
armament is a good job, just a little tedious when it comes to checking out tools and following along with the TO's. takes a lot of repetition to get things down.

That's unfortunate to hear. We have had great experience with our Airmen coming out of Tech School and telling us they love this job
