rolls up seven (7) months late with a new art style, a new editing program, a new obsession, and a tall coconut milk iced latte hey guys what'd I miss
so. uh. it's been a while, huh? I gotta admit, I thought I was done with the animatic game after The Play; I tried a couple different ideas, including stuff from The Lightning Thief musical, but nothing kept my interest for long. so I figured I would close the animatic chapter on my life and simply look back on it fondly.
but then .... borderlands happened. I fell hard for it at the very beginning of the summer, and I still haven't fallen out of love. and in July when Starmapp introduced me to an absolute bop of a song that both went hard and also fit the game eerily well .... well. this happened.
I tried out and experimented with lots of new ideas and style choices for this bad boy, including a new editing program; goodbye, windows movie maker. I just had so much fun intertwining everything together and telling a story in a way I hadn't been able to before. I learned a lot from this experience.
so yeah, I present to y'all what I've been working on for the better part of the past month. I can't promise that I'll continue making animatics, especially musical-related ones, mostly because college is starting soon and I have no idea what my life will be like then, but I hope to remain somewhat present on the channel in the future.

I finished Tales about a month ago and kept looking for cool stuff from other fans, came by your animatic pretty fast. I keep coming back to it, the music is perfect and even tho the drawings are rather simple, the emotions on characters' faces are incredible, especially sadness and fear. Great job, I love your version of Jack and Rhys :D

aw yeah, time to do a giant analysis of all the fucking incredible things in this animatic...
First of all, I fucking love how eerie the part before the credits is, it fits into the theme so well. Also, that pan up and then down from Elpis without and then with Helios hhhooooooly shit. I love the scenes you used for each of the lyrics, its like, exactly what I imagined when I first listened to Voices. All the characters look fantastic in your style, especially Jack, like holy hell in fucking gay. The way you editted this is so eye catching and smooth, I fucking love all the little movements the characters make. Also props to surviving having to draw "Assquez" so much, I would not be able to do that. Same with August. Also that one fucking panel where Rhys is looking at the Jack poster, fucking hell that's so good. Confused Rhys activate. I love the panel where Assquez is holding Vaughn, idk why,,, it's just ,, so good. And ooooo that pan when jack appears in the Atlas facility,,, nnHOT. I love it when the glass breaks that burst of movement is so nice and fluid hhh. also I can't forget "T-POSE WITH ME RHYS". I love loaderbot so much, just a reminder. YEET. The campfire groupshot is like so nice, I don't know if you did it on purpose but it feels like it's a parrelled to the first scene where it felt really empty and eerie, meanwhile this one has everyone and it feels really comfy and cheerful. Meanwhile Rhys is sulking in the back like the loser he is. I swear i replayed the fade from Sasha to Rhys like 40 times because it's so nice. "I always needed more" is super gay and that Jack is still my phone lockscreen. I love the way you treated the whole, "Jack takes over Rhys' body scenes". The explosion when Vallory and her goons come crashing through the glass is fucking beautiful, i love everything about it. Also the movment in the chase scene is SO SMOOTH, A. "Vaughn gets cut up nonfiguratively". also Rhys is a concerned bf. Fiona is so pretty in your style im crying. That "but for now i guess i trust you" hurts, im still pissed off at Yvette, fuck Yvette. JACK STANDING IN THE BACKGROUND WHEN HE STEPS OVER YVETTE'S BODY HHHH IM GAY OIAJFOISHFEG. Jack's office looks so fucking amazing please teach me how to draw backgrounds, the whole aethetic of it is so fucking good. THAT ONE RHYS, WITH THE FUCKING TWINKLY EYES IM DEAD HE'S SO PRETTY. And ooooooOOOO JaCK iS jUSt So HOT ALl The Time In YoUR sTyle!!! "grandpa takes a seat" hehehheheheehehe. that's the gay look, no doubt about it, he's gay, Rhys is so fucking gay. God this is great. Wonderfully animated and the song choice is perfect. Rhys and Jack and their dynamic was my favorite part of the game. I wish there had been more of a choice involved when it came to the end of their storyline.

With JACK seeing the future which included his own "death" as well as the map of the other vaults that were shown only after he “dies” and a body double that rhymes with Jimothy who not only underwent extensive surgery and psychological evaluations, but even more once he was reborn as HANDSOME Jack.
Well I foresee another "Sup" moment in Borderlands 3.

Great work! And Rhys is literally crying in this one, that was a really nice detail, since he kept mourning Jack even after he removed the Echo eye. It was shown in the game that he didn't want to do this & when Fiona tried to annoy him about this, he just stood there, shoulders down, he was so sad about it. I have a headcanon that he brought him back at some point, just made it less dangerous. Thus really loved him. And the lyrics is on point.
