    Why does a person have to share personal details in front of a crowd? If the preacher really wants to help then counsel him privately. This show is too much.

    The apostles never had conversations with possessed people, and the demons within them. It wasn't a game to them to cast out demons because they knew the person's very soul was at stake. They cast them out without all this fanfare, & NOT drawing attention to themselves because they knew it wasn't about THEM.

      @334Emanuel that makes no sense. We are followers of Christ, so we do things in his name which in Greek is "onoma". It means in his character or how he would do it. He definitely talked to demons in the scriptures as I have pointed out and the pharisees looked at him exactly how Corey looks at anyone who does anything spiritual.

      No!! In order for a person to be delivered, the Gospel must be presented to them and when they become born again believers, the Holy Spirit begins to dwell in the person and there won't be any room for demons to "come back". Casting out demons shouldn't be what's emphasized, the Gospel should be emphasized so ppl can repent and believe in Jesus for transformation and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. These "demon slayers" are all false teachers/apostles/prophets. Period.

    These so called deliverance ministers better watch out. They gonna mess around and encounter a real demon, and being charlatans themselves, then the same thing That happened to those jews in the book of Acts might happen to them because they aren't true believers, therefore not having the power of the Holy Spirit inside them:
    Acts 19:13
    13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, [a]“We [b]exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches." 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” 16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, [a]overpowered them, and prevailed against [b]them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

  • @Cmedic57

    Let us stop and think about this logically. Most Christians I know think we are in the last days, leading up to the 2nd coming of Christ. According to scripture we know that there will be an increase in false apostles, teachers and prophets, and that many would depart from sound doctrine and to satisfy their own lusts gather to themselves teachers who will itch their ears with fables, turning them away from the truth. The closer to Christ's return we get, the more evil the world will become, like in the days of Sodom and Noah as Jesus pointed out. Knowing all this, shouldn't we be more careful in testing the spirits to see whether they are from God or not, as the days are evil and full of deception. As for me, I do not trust anything man says, but test everything using God's word and trust solely in the leading of the Holy Spirit. Let us all be like the Bereans, remaining open and teachable, testing every spirit and doctrine, being wise stewards of the Word of God.
    To say we do not need the gospel to cast out demons is like cutting off our nose to spit our face. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. That power can release a person bound by a demon, and instantly, not in a long played out comical farce these money hungry demon slayers act out on stage. These demon slayers are poor imitations of Jesus, who cast out demons with one word and never asked usury or charged His disciples for teaching them His ways. Look at how far we have fallen (speaking of the church).🤒May God have mercy on us, and restore a right spirit within us once again.

      As a minister. I've come to understand, as the scripture would say, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there's liberty. I believe in a deliverance, sanctified, Holy Spirit lead ministry, it would be difficult for someone to just do anything in such a ministry.
      A minister himself must be delivered and filled with The Holy Spirit and lead by The Spirit. He should teach according to the scripture.
      All those apart of the ministry should be disciplined, held accountable for their salvation. When anything that is contradictory to the scripture it should be addressed, through admonishing, reproof and correction.
      Through assembly and discipline, individuals will be delivered from sin, habits and/or things that torment them. In addition, the minister should be ready to counsel and properly lead someone to Christ and away from their old ways. All In The Name of Jesus.
      As a minister, I personally don't counsel too much those who don't desire deliverance or desire The Holy Spirit. I pray with them or for them, but I encourage them to seek The Father, but until they desire deliverance, demonic influence will be difficult to overcome.
      I personally don't believe that The Father will allow the burden of casting out demons for us. It is very difficult, because many who teach, need to taught and many who try to deliver, needs to be delivered.
      Salvation needs to be worked out, it not an overnight process. After being saved, we must live saved. It's work, not anything to play with. HalleluYah

    I have a question if the parents aren't saved couldn't those generational curses be passed down? I understand if they are believers but if we can pass down good things how can we not pass down curses? I am not trying to be funny I honestly would like to understand this better!

    • @Cmedic57
      @Cmedic57 Před rokem

      Actually, generational curses were done away with. See Ezekiel 18:20. This curse was first instituted in Exodus 34:7 and applies to Israel, but was done away with at the cross and is no where found in the new testament. We are now under grace and Christ died for the sins of the world, and all who believe in the gospel of Christ are sanctified by the blood of Christ and their sins are all forgiven. Every born again believer who has the Holy Spirit dwelling inside them, will no longer have a heart of stone, but a heart of flesh, and every time they sin, their conscience will be grieved and their desire will be to repent and turn away from that sin and live a righteous life unto salvation. Not reprogrammed robots, but people with a new attitude towards God, having been implanted with the Truth, the rest of the world can't see because of the darkness and deception of the evil one.

    • @President_Dontae
      @President_Dontae Před rokem +1

      @@Cmedic57 thank you for that but did you read the whole question? How can something apply or not apply to unbelievers.

    • @Cmedic57
      @Cmedic57 Před rokem

      @@President_Dontae Let's look at it a different way. Sin entered the world by the actions of the one man Adam, and as a result all of mankind has inherited that fallen nature and separation from God. Sin is inherent and therefore can be seen as a perpetual generational curse starting with Eve, then Adam and was perpetuated through their generational offspring until present day. Before the fall, Adam and Eve were not under a curse and they never got sick and the Tree of Life was there to perpetuate their life forever. But instead Eve was tempted by the devil in the guise of a serpent, and took the one thing that God had forbidden. No doubt it was a test, one God knew beforehand what the outcome would be. All part of His eternal plan of redemption.
      In Romans, chapters 5 through 7, the apostle Paul argues that, from a certain point of view, human sin and death are a corporate problem rather than an individual one. He tells us that “one man’s sin [Adam] brought guilt to all people” and that “sin entered the world because one man sinned, and illness and death came because of sin”. This is why each one of us remains a “slave of sin” unless we’re “set free” by the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Since Jesus is the second Adam who did obey, the redeemed will be made right with God, solely through His actions.
      Before the cross, everyone was judged by their faith in God and their observance of the law. The trouble was that back then the Holy Spirit had not written the Law on people's hearts, yet even King David who multiplied wives to himself and even committed adultery was called "a man after God's own heart". Now however, when someone believes in the gospel of Christ, he is cleansed and the Holy Spirit indwells that person, making it so that person now desires to chose the righteousness of God, over the desires of the flesh, and to feel remorse whenever they make a wrong choice, whereas before their conscious was seared.
      Now of course there are specific sins or ailments that can get passed down, like alcoholism, mental illnesses like Alzheimers, either through influence or genetics, but these are all the result of the fall. We can pray for the afflicted, and give counselling if they are wanting help. "The prayers of a righteous person availeth much". Hope this helps answer your question.

      These brothers were not believers or followers of Christ. They seem to have created their own business of exorcism. The Scriptures call them vagabonds. This means they traveled from place to place employing their supposed craft of exorcism. These exorcisms were done using a formula of some kind to command a demon to be expelled from an individual..Had they been successful in their exorcisms? Perhaps, we really don't know..
      We do know that these brothers were identified by the context of scripture as unqualified and ill-equipped to handle such spiritual matters.
      Simply put, they had not been endowed with authority from God to do so. Acts 1:8 says that believers would receive power after the Holy Ghost was given to them. This authority would enable them to both speak and witness the word of God boldly with signs and wonders according to Mark 16:20.
      With no spiritual discernment they acted Acts 19:13 says they took it upon themselves. In other words they did it without being led by the Spirit of God. This man never came seeking deliverance or crying out, have mercy on me.
      They obviously had heard that the name of Jesus held great power, and sought to capitalize by usimg it as a formula to rid this person of their demon possession. Their actions may have been for financial gain. Notice the word exorcists is only used in this passage of scripture as a means to identify that these men were not called of God for this purpose.
      So, when they tried to use Jesus name in their formula to cast the unclean spirit out the spirit spoke back to them first to inform them that he was not afraid of them because it knew they had no authority.
      The conclusion is that one man beat up 7 brothers at one time Acts 19:16. Thus letting us know you don't want to play with evil spirits.
      King David was able to exorcise temporarily the evil spirit from the Lord that troubled King Saul, however it always came back.
      So in conclusion these men were unqualified to deal with demons at all and were overcome.

      Paul was the last Apostle of Christ and the last that was given certain authority. You do not see anyone other than Apostles healing and casting out demons. If there are accounts in the scripture that shows someone other than a foundational Apostle, please provide scriptural references. Paul was the last foundational Apostle of Christ that was called.

      @@icemanred Mark 16:15-17 KJV - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
      He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
      And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
      Verse 17 was not the end of Christ ' statements concerning the signs that believers will demonstrate after coming to saving faith. One of the signs mentioned is that believers will be empowered by God's Spirit to cast out devils or demons. This delegated authority was not limited to the apostles. Notice what the Scripture says, these signs would follow THEM that believed. The context of the Scripture did not place a time limit on the manifestation of these signs. If you are a believer you should expect these signs to manifest according to the will of the Spirit of God.
      Again let us read what Christ said in John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
      While the greater here refers to the length of time in comparison to Christ ministry, clearly we can see that Christ includes anyone that believes which excludes any time limits. In Matthew 7:22 the apostle wrote what Jesus said some are going to say in the day of judgement. Lord did not I cast out devils in your name.
      In Luke 10:17 we read that others besides the apostles received this authority even before Christ ascended. We should ask ourselves did Christ only give this power to a certain few.
      Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:7 says that the manifestation of the Spirit has been given to every man to benefit others.
      Hopefully any student of the Holy Scriptures will understand that demons are still being cast out today. However, there are false prophets among the people of God described in the Bible as tares mixed in with the wheat. Our job is to study to show ourselves approved that we may not be ashamed when we open our mouth or in exercise of our ministry. All things should be done decently and in order.

      @@user-qe9uk8uf4t You have included a few things that are not directly related to this each other in context.
      1. The scripture you quoted from the Gospel of Mark is not considered definitive as the last 12 verses of Mark 16 were not part of the earliest complete manuscript. So I would be cautious of looking to that one scripture reference to support the argument for the authority given to those that were not Apostles of Christ. If other believers ( other than the Apostles) were given the authority to heal and cast out demons, sure there would be examples in the scriptures of non-apostolic believers doing such works of miracles. If you can point to an example of this, I'd appreciate it.
      2. The manifestation of the Spirit spoken in 1 Cor 12:7 was dealing specifically with Spiritual gifts. There is no Spiritual gift of casting out demons. The spiritual gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 are for the building up of the body of Christ. Again, neither of these scriptures discussing the manifestation of Spiritual gifts mentions casting out demons.
      I have yet to witness one instance of true demons being cast out. I'm not talking about the Saldivars and Paganis of the world. I'm talking about in the manner that is recorded in scripture. If you have evidence of such events, I would hope that you can provide verifiable, recorded evidence.

      Thank you for the opportunity to be able to share scripture with you. Let me say that if the verses you stated are not inspired by God and an addition of men then wouldn't that discredit the whole bible or at least cast doubts as to its authenticity. Yet history records that men who compiled this canon of the Scriptures would not include anything they thought was not authentic or written by someone who had credibility. I believe the latter portion of Mark has to be true because another writer Luke confirms that such works were done.
      In Acts 8:6-8 it says, "And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.
      Philip was not an apostle but an evangelist Acts 21:8 verifies this. He was one of the seven chosen by the apostles to deal with a problem among believers. Acts 6:5
      This is a witness to what John Mark wrote in Mark 16:20 "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."
      Although it does not itemize as in the verses above Scripture says that Stephen himself gave witness to the word of God with wonders and miracles Acts 6:8. Did he cast out devils? It doesn't say. However, we cannot say that it didn't because we were not there and the Holy Ghost did not offer any details. But again what did Christ say through the apostle John in chapter 14:12. John wrote that Christ said believers (not just apostles) would do the same works that he did. What works do we read about in the book of Acts? Some of the works we read of are demons being cast out, people being healed, and people being discipled.
      As to your second statement the Apostle Paul did not intend for what he wrote to be a comprehensive list of the gifts, but spoke as he was inspired to at the time. Notice when the Apostle Paul lists the works of the flesh he did not give a comprehensive list, but ended by saying and such like activities. To say that the gifts listed are the only ones God gave is not giving God enough glory but limiting Him. Is the ability to write songs a gift? I believe it is and that God gives his believers the ability to write his word in song to minister and glorify his name. So, I don't know if the apostle Paul would agree with your statement regarding his writing.
      I will say that I have seen demons cast out and it was not a spectacle such as this. God has not changed. He remains the same God who manifests the same signs as He did in the beginning. We have never seen Jesus nor any of the apostles or others do anything written in the Bible but yet we believe it. We should believe everything the word of God says is for us.

    The sad thing is they always have people who don't know their Bible who fall for this, and they are as responsible for this as the demon slayers are. Without the people they wouldn't be able to carry on like this.
