Since we’ve been in Malaysia we may have had the wrong impression. Let’s just say we were wrong to think Kuala Lumpur is like any old city. In fact it’s so much more than that! Today we run into some unexpected surprises. Meet a few incredible people and show you exactly how much you can get whilst living here. Could this possible be related to New York? Let’s find out if Kuala Lumpur is value for money?

I love KL and Malaysia. I'll be there for three months as I avoid winter in the US. I can't wait. :)
Eat as much as you like, you will never stop eating Malaysian food

@@universalchanneltv9394 agree with you..if someone want to find amazing nature experience and other, i think sabah and sarawak have a lot to offer too..by the way i'm not live there but i really love sabah & sarawak because of the beauty nature over there..hope one day i can go.
KL is ideal spot for Asian businesses to be based there to serve the region. It's multi-cultural, very well developed, very safe, almost every local can speak english and it's a travel hub, AirAsia global hub is here.
i missed malaysia we stayed there 25yrs in kuala lumpur,i love this country its my second home, very peacefuland nice to stay there. Terimah kasih.
Thank u for promoting malaysia.. Really appreciate it..
Thank you for watching Ridzal! We appreciate it 🥰🙏
Malaysia is truly Asia!!!
Enjoy your stay here guys.
Asia is the best example of how different cultures can integrate successfully. Very humble, gentle and disciplined people.
In the name of human being,,every body deserve to be respect....that,s malaysia
Not the entire Asia. Only few countries in South East Asia.
Many asian countries kill their own kind just because of religions.
You forgot China and North Korea?
@@lorodz exclude communist countries
@Aprillia Kasih Not as well as Singapore and Malaysia. Name one multicultural country outside of Asia that is integrated better with less crime, religious conflict etc. Saying "do exist" is pretty vague. Also, I didn't say "relatively harmonious", I said "best example". Why did you lower your standards all the way down to "relatively harmonious" to try to prove a point? 😂
Nothing like Malaysia. It suites every taste and class and religion. I love this country
Agreed! 😍
Exept lgbtq and aethis
@@enVybiaN_nVbN they don't give a shit about aethis, but for lgbtq, yeah they don't have a place there
@@pudinichigo91 well as long as the govermant didnt find out that the person is aethis then its ok,but if otherwise, the person will ammidiately put him in jail
@@enVybiaN_nVbN where did you read that ? Malaysia are freedom of religion, every person has the right to profess and to practice his or her religion as long as they don't do propagation of other religions to Muslims, so you can be atheist and won't go send to jail just because of that
Keretapi Sarong (literally Sarong Train) is an event in conjunction with Malaysia Day in which people board trains from all train lines wearing Sarong (traditional skirt cloth) heading towards one designated destination. We’ve been doing it for several years now during Malaysia Day and we stopped for 2 years because of Covid. This year has seen most participants than ever
I lived in Kuala Lumpur for almost 12 years. Worked in golden triangle area which in Pavilion. My hometown is in east coast, Kelantan. I am getting older and love to live in peaceful place. Now I am living and working in Langkawi Island that located in south area, Kedah. Love my country MALAYSIA very much.
Sungguh Indah Malaysia ku yg Pelbagai Budaya dan Kaum... Subhanallah...
Thank you for promoting my country. Come to Sabah (East Malaysia) where nature is waiting for you to explore.
Watching your video, makes me proud to be a Malaysian. Thanks so much to you two.
Thank you so much! ❤️
I think you went there during Malaysia Day...different from Independence Day. Independence day is celebrated during 31 August, while Malaysia Day 16 September..Independence day was 31 August 1957, Malaya gained independence from British...Malaysia Day is when Malaya was joined by Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore 16 September 1963 and rename to Malaysia...however Singapore expelled from Malaysia 9 August 1965
Malaya Is Malay Peninsular , Sabah Sarawak Is In East Malaysia Also Called Malaysian Borneo .
Sarawak and Sabah form Malaysia together with the Federation of Malaya states and Singapore.
When in Malaysia make sure to visit the smaller cities like Penang, Ipoh, Malacca and the beautiful mountain resorts like Cameron Highlands and the amazing beaches on the East Coast.
Thanks for the tips Jason! 😍
Every state has it's own beauty, food and culture. You need to peel it layer by layer. Enjoy Malaysia.
@@ShevandDev please do! If u want to eat fresh seafood with beautiful seaview come to Terengganu. It has many islands too like Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian (activites like snorkeling, party and more)
Don’t miss their signature snack called “keropok lekor” it’s malaysian type of chips made from fish and flour.
Frankly speaking, many people got wrong idea about Malaysia. Infacts Malaysia is a modern country, many fancy , huge shopping mall, selling many type of branded items . Food is endless choose from, spicy to non spicy, Indian, Chinese, Western and Malay food. Language no problem, English understood & spoken. ( Bahasa Malaysia is national language). Places to stay not a problem, many type of condos, apartments, hotels, houses . Many places to travel and venture around. You can never feel bored in Malaysia.
You can go to Putrajaya and some popular islands in Malaysia, but the island resorts are more expensive. The greater KL is actually huge and there are many gigantic malls (but similar) and many beautiful public parks within 25 km of KLCC area. The best part of living in Malaysia is actually driving around, enjoy the space and enjoying the your chosen lifestyle, either affordable or high-end.
Unless you go to Tioman island, east of Malaysia. Look up Ben Dive centre, ABC, Pulaua Tioman.
Dont forget the famous hillstation CAMERON HIGHLANDS
Wow! I had an adrenaline rush watching this. KL looks so amazing and the energy and excitement you both put in tells just how vibrant this city is. I’ll definitely try out The Loaf cafe when I am in KL end of October.
We will be expecting rain n heavy shower from October onwards. Do take care of yourself if you are in my country then.
Thanks promoting our country. If you are a food lover, kinda like urban living style, go for peninsular malaysia. If you love nature, beaches and rain forest, go for east malaysia (borneo). Welcome to Malaysia🤗

Beautiful! I had an apartment in KL rented for a week in March, but they weren't allowing Americans in yet so I had to cancel. I'd still like to visit, it reminds me of Singapore, except that KL has kept more of its ethnicity, which I like.
Aw we would have loved to meet up with you here in KL! This city keeps surprising us! We hope you can come back here soon! So much to do and see 😍🥰✨❤️

Why is that they don’t allow Americans.? As far as I know there is no restriction for Americans to enter Malaysia
Foreign travelers are allowed to visit now. Just last week I’ve met a couple from Seattle at Bukit Bintang.
So super beautiful right?
Thanks for the content, really nice view. Can't wait for the next video 🤗

Both of you should stay longer in Malaysia 🙌🏻 ‘cause I'm sure you won't feel satisfied just staying for 90 days. There’s many more places to explore and trying all the foods and stuffs. Lots of tourist that came before this have fallen in love with this country & decided to stay here. So, let the adventure begin ! Welcome to wonderful Malaysia 🇲🇾
I’m happy that you guys happy in Malaysia 🇲🇾 ❤
I have heard stories from my grandpa and grandma of their time in Malaysia in the 1950s and 1960s. Thanks for making this video. It rminded me of those stories.
Most of the Europeans and Australians were in the mining sector in Malaysia during the 50s and 60s. I was too. And I mingled with most of them.
So please let me know where were your Grandparents working, perhaps I might know them too.
Beside of Kuala Lumpur, you should visit Penang. Penang is a city that has embraced modernity while keeping its colonial traditions, Penang is a treasure trove of heritage buildings, charming streets, religious sites and more.
Really glad that you enjoy and love Malaysia.. that was a rare occasion at Pavilion for Malaysia Day. Love your apartment.. really neat and beautiful..

Those guys in their traditional costumes r bringing back d past nostalgic. Malaya gained independence from d British in 1957. In 1963, Malaysia is established with Singapore, Sabah n Sarawak. But Singapore was separated from Malaysia in 1965.
Malaysia Day is our 2nd independence day when Sabah and Sarawak (and Singapore for a short time) joined the other states to form a single country and the country changed its name from Malaya to Malaysia.
Malaysia is my motherland and Im very happy foreigners came to visit Malaysia
Oh it is for Malaysia day. The sarong train. Sept 16 is the formation of Malaysia with Borneo (and once upon a time Singapore)

I love you guys, Malaysia have a lot place to visit. Welcome to Malaysia ❤
If I could give you a quick crash course on Malaysia (MY) generally it could be divided into 5. sectors. 1. Northern MY ( Perlis, Kedah, Penang & Perak) 2. southern states ( Johor, Melaka, 3. East Coast States ( Pahang, Terengganu & Kelantan), 4. West Coast ( Selangor and Negeri Sembilan), 6. West Malaysia ( Sabah & Sarawak). If you're into nature, East Coast, sabah and sarawak is the place to go to, if you're into Heritage and Past you may visit, Ipoh, Penang or Melaka, City live : Penang, KL or Johor Bahru. Hope it helps
West Malaysia?

Been there twice and it’s awesome. As a New Yorker I never feel so safe like here. people are amazing they all respect one another. We shouldn’t have to respect each other only on thanksgiving or any holidays..
We are not a gun society, from the airport right up to the hotel, probably you have seen a single one. You don't see cops loitering around.
Theres truly many sides of KL if you explore deeper.
Theres a mini Las Vegas on top of a mountain nearby (Genting Highland) with both outdoor and indoor themepark and whatnot. In fact, theres even a theme park with a rollercoaster inside a mall (Berjaya Times Square).
Theres nature all around the city - the jungles with waterfalls at Kemensah, Sungai Kanching, Sungai Congkak etc..theres jungles within the city itself - Bukit Nanas Eco-Forest Park, Taman Tugu Nature Trail.
Theres the National Zoo nearby as well as petting zoo down south at Seri Kembangan..even a petting zoo within a mall - IOI City Mall petting zoo.
Feel free to explore and enjoy yourselves here!
31st August 1957. Independence day aka National Day Celebration.
16 September 1963. The day that Federation States of Malaya @ peninsular malaysia including Singapore and 2 autonomy territories of Borneo island agreed to form a new country known as Malaysia.
Singapore decided to leave 2 years after.
Not Singapore decided to leave. Lol.
They were voted out in parliament in 1965; primarily for the racial riots in 1964.
Haha When you’re out filming a video showcasing an amazing country and it just happens to be the country’s national day. 😂 you can always (most times) tell it’s going to be a delicious latte from the art on top… coffee looked amazing and so did that danish.
We were blown away by your apartment as well what a beautifully appointed space and those views😮 thanks for another awesome video guys.

Malaysia is a nation in Southeast Asia that has territory on both Borneo Island and the Malay Peninsula. The beaches, rainforests, and blend of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and European cultural influences make it famous. Colonial structures, bustling commercial areas like Bukit Bintang, and skyscrapers like the recognizable, 451-meter-tall Petronas Twin Towers may all be found in Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Not only is the cost of living in KL substantially lower than New York, KL is substantially safer than New York, particularly in areas like Bukit Bintang and the people in KL are multiple orders of magnitude friendlier than
We were in KL four days, leaving just a few days ago to return to Sing. We stayed in the KL Sentral area, but it’s very easy to get to Bukit Bintang, Chinatown, MidValley from there, either by train, monorail, subway or Grab.
If you want a good pastries, breakfast and coffee you go to KLCG cafe at Dataran Merdeka. The place is a hidden gem in the heart of historical landmarks.
