I have really enjoyed watching all these again, still as funny now and no stupid political correctness!, thanks for posting, they bring back great memories of my late Dad, he loved this show.
@@henrythompson5224 we used to say that at school , “I’ll ‘ave half”!! also some of the more risky sayings in the show!!!! No offence was meant in this show and I’m sure they had great fun working together
Last episode - now watched all 52. Thanks for putting them up, I've enjoyed it. Someone tell Joan and Eddie to wash their hands after handling raw chicken though lol
This is the best of best comedy humerus comedy ull ever see. It’s called History live, learn & enjoy a bit of give n take as we all enjoy Humour. Let’s laugh not repunzile
Recently discovered this series online. I'm an American citizen and Loved it. Very funny show. Been watching one episode every night and finished all 7 series. This would NEVER make TV today (Thank Goodness), but it's a great show from the 70's. I know it's racist comedy. But hey, we had All in the Family, Sanford & Son, and many other TV classics back then that would be horribly racist today. After all, times do change. And yes, I know many of of our American hit TV shows were based on British series' from that time. So you know what I'm talking about. Thank you for posting these. Very much enjoyed them all.
Could you imagine the leftie hoo-ha if it was on the TV repeats. It wouldn't be classed as ' woke ' and would be seen as Rascist in today's environment. Such a pity as there were some great shows from the 70's
Bill and Eddie must been well in their 40"s when this was made , and the other two look in their 60's. So how come Bill and Eddie was having children at that the of life
The 1979 revival show had Eddie at 36. The actor was near 48 at the time. Some poetic licence, I imagine. The wives were closer to 36! It's what happened at the time. Older actors playing younger but looking their actual age. Ever watch On The Buses or Bless this House?
When this series was on television....The night club were dudes and ladies dress up an ting was Q CLUB In praed street London Paddington.... owned by Count suckle...all the black celebrities back then..who came to London, for whatever reasons...would go to this place...and on the walls of the place..you would see pictures of ,Ali,belafonte,Marvin gay. Etc etc...So big up and huge shout out to the great count suckle..the 1st Blackman to drive rolls Royce..in those days.. kapppish 🇬🇧🇯🇲❤️💯
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?
Very true….Barbie is totally cardboard, Joan is simply annoying how she strings words together with a crescendo at the end, Jacko tight arse. E, B and A as you say are the actual actors.
I used to think Arthur was a tough spiv like walker in Dads army because he always wore suits but really he could have just worn a checked shirt but i guess in those days hope wasn't completely destroyed by feminists today we are the strong men for handling feminism no way could Arthur get away with flirty comments to women in bars as some feminist would say too bad if you've got an ugly wife just gut yourself because you're not going to have a nice conversation with me. These days you could have an ugly wife and you still aren't allowed to say hello to women without several winks in an internet dating site first otherwise your a creep. Weird how black people were nice then too but today these more feeling of racism because of enforced advertisements from mtv and buzzfeed whilst black lives shoot cops and snatch way microphones from politicians trying to help black people.
Ist episode or pilot more like MG.. Smethurst's accent is ridiculous and as a farceur he's hardly John Cleese. Apposite as this is exactly contemporary to 'Fawlty Towers' series 2. A work as funny as this is laboured and painful viewing,
Ohhh miss the 70/80's 😢😢 best Era ever 😧😧👍👌✋
I was born in 87 and I totally agree things were alot better
Had our fair share of shit but definitely better times.
Bill and Eddie are comedy gold

I have really enjoyed watching all these again, still as funny now and no stupid political correctness!, thanks for posting, they bring back great memories of my late Dad, he loved this show.
Shame your dad was a gross racist.
Still one of best comedies ever
One of the few 70s comedy shows where the four main stars are still alive in September 2020.
Really 😨👍
Which one
And there not on a sex offenders register
@@nadiazidane6794 Eddie Barbie Bill and Joan.
Long live....
Jacko's timing when it comes to drinks is PERFECT.
I'll ave half🍺
@@henrythompson5224 My dad always laughed at that line. How times have changed.

Really enjoyed the whole series. Thanks
Yes it was good but we never ever got to see Eddie and Bills kids
That would have meant they would have to grow up a bit lol
God! Think the last time I saw this I was just 14. I’m 59 now!
What lovly program in the 70s it was sad it's not the TV

Like to have nobby as my local barman , no closing time and a good close relationship with his customers that what barman should be like 👍
Fantastic. Thanks for sharing 👍
Great show
I can't believe it JACKO Parted with 5p .
The last episode. I've watched it every day for many weeks while pedalling my exercise bike. What do I watch tomorrow? 'Mind Your Language' I think.
RIP Jack Smethurst
great show
Classic British comedy cross.
Sorry meant cross. But still funnier than what passes for comedy now
Arthur always looks smart.
Yeah.he was very dapper.typical londoner.
09:49 Bills laugh gets me everytime
Rip jack smethhurst he was so funny miss him
Albert's voice sounds very similar to George from old kid's show Rainbow 🌈 😄
Now you have said that I have to agree. I loved Rainbow with Roddie, Jane, George & Bungle
thanks, enjoyed the lot of them,,,,,,,,,poor Eddie lol keep it up Patric
Quality show... Old comedies were the best imo.
Going to bed, after this one👍 it's 3:30am 11/1/22
that was the best xxxxxxxxxxxxx
The Genuis is the writer/creator, the legends are the actors.
Shame this wasn't wrapped up properly. The episode where eddie tries to sell his house would probably have been a more fitting ending
It carried on with the Australian version. Eddie emigrated there lol
Jack Smethurst has since passed away
Fast forward 50 years later Eddie see what happens to the country government have fucked us up . Bring back Eddie
I'm amazed there still on
New episodes PLEEEEEEEEASEEEE
