@@brandyjackson-beansbagsI have a quick question: the pattern calls for 55” fabric. Will 54” work. All the vinyls I want to use are only 54”.

That's what I'm getting . I ready got a 8700 ddl and juki 1181 . I make clothes for myself and others the 1181 is heavy but it just can't do heavy leather and I put the juki 1541s in layaway and I should go ave out in about 5 months. Thank you for getting back to me

I am only have a domestic but I will deff be doing this when I upgrade.
If is totally domestic friendly If you choose the right materials and interfacings out of the seam allowance! This is one of my fave makes this year!!
@@brandyjackson-beansbags then in that case I might be giving it a try right after Christmas. I only have 4 wallets, 2 quilts (one queen one king) and 2 bags to do by Christmas ..... I take care of my elderly mom and work as much as they will give me hours during the time I am available. I actually get up at 4 a.m. just to sew who needs sleep right hahaha

I want to know how does it sew with leather and can you sew like silk lining with leather or similar material. I want to sew leather. The juki 1181 doesn't do well with sewing heavy leather and I heard it doesn't do well with like material
You will need a 1541 for leather. I have never used silk. Only interfaced cottons and WPC
