Great shooting! Came accross your channel randomly recently and really enjoying your videos! im from AB originally but live overseas now its great to see another canadian getting into it. I've had Pheasant, Mallard, Pigeon, Rabbit with my slingshot. Goose is still on my bucket list. subscribed!
Thank you so much! Glad you are enjoying the channel, lots more to come! That's a great list youvhave compiled too, I wish we could use slingshots for waterfowl here that would be awesome lol
Nice video.. I see you wanna catch em all 😂
Thank you! Haha sure do! Bucket list!
Hitting the forest tomorrow. The sligshot will be my side arm 😂
Perfect! Are you specifically going out to target them with the slingshot or are you hunting big game too?
@RikklesFisher I bought the slingshot last year because I kept passing grouse while big game hunting and couldn't kill it without making noise. Tomorrow is big game, but I feel like I need to finally try my slingshot out and see if I still got it. If I see I suck at this type of slingshot, I might build myself a different kind that I have mastered as a child.
@BootTrackStories Nice! Well hopefully you still got it! Have you tried flat bands? They might help, they definitely helped me get better then I used to be with the ole wrist rocket.
@RikklesFisher If you are referring to the type you are shooting ( the band, that's what I have). I'm used to shoot a more simple kind, imagine a long wider band, without handle or anything. Then I connect the projectile holding pouch at one end with some string. That's it. I hold one end in my left hand, extend with my right and bam...I used to take birds consistently off electricity poles/lines, from top of trees, one time I got a crow from about 30-40 yards away. And I didn't have fancy ball bearings back then, just rocks off the ground lol
Hi, good luck with your Bucket list, what sling shots do you recommend?, thanks from Australia!
Thank you so much! I recommend Simpleshot(link in bio) and either the Scout LT or XT or X all 3 are good choices.
Rick, I can offer you a couple spots for blues and ptarmigans. Check out Cardinal divide area, was up there today. Also up Coral Cr, those western basins 12km in, got a female blue this sept. They should be all over the area! I’d PM you but I don’t have any other social media unless you still go on AO forum
That's awesome to know thank you! I haven't been on there in ages but I'd definitely log in for some good bird info! Haha
I’ll message you in a few days!

what part of the slingshot do you look through for your 'sight' ? im struggling with accuracy
Depends if you are shooting through the fork or over the top, through the fork(ttf) you aim down the center of your band but when your bands are on top of the frame(ott) then your target is just of the top right corner or your frame.
