I remember working in New York in the 70's. Wonderful and beautiful. Unfortunately it will get worse before it ever gets better.
What gets me is that the other passengers aren't worried, surprised, or upset. This is a normal subway ride to them.

The iguana is the most normal one there.
That iguana was a midget compared to the iguana I had for 5 years. But I made a mistake when I took him for a walk in my neighborhood. He bolted away from me leash and all.I was heartbroken. Looked for him for 2 weeks. I had him for over 5 years and had taken him out before and that had never happened. For those of you who are undecided on getting one for a pet I tell you this they make wonderful pets. Every morning he would come down the ramp from the cage me and my brother made for him. He would climb up my bed and park himself right on my chest and fall asleep for another hour or two. After his hour or so more of sleeping he would get a little rambunctious and I would say to him hungry and he would shake his head up and down his way of saying yes. And that's the truth you can believe it or not. But that was the truth!

The guy "showering" reminded me of the time I walked into a Chik Fil A bathroom, only to find a man "bathing" in the sink. He was completely unclothed. His clothes, his Chik Fil A uniform, were hanging on the bathroom stall. I immediately walked out and reported it to the manager who was mortified. She explained that the guy was relatively new and was having financial difficulties. That was his last day at that Chik Fil A. On a lighter note, this actually just another day on any big city mass transit. 😅
I am sure that was not an enjoyable experience. Seems to make you really happy that this person lost his job. I hope that you are never in need like he was
