When i was young, I used to buy a lot of fake LEGO sets from brands like Mega Blocks and other Chinese Brands since it's much cheaper here in The Philippines than the original LEGO Brand. What i did is mix the fake ones with real ones, that are very hard to distinguish with the other ones with non-LEGO Toys.
I have mixed my lego and my non lego together, but I have now regretted that and separated each little fake brick from my lego bricks and now have fake brick free lego bricks
Playmobil, in my opinion, is more directed to children, they don't have very small and separable pieces, which makes play more enjoyable, not like lego, that is more focused on MOCs and it tends to break, making the kid feel frustated (I know how it feels, i lived it)
these fake brand are balancing the real lego price too if these fake knockoff doesnt exist lego can raise their price to the moon and we are force to buy them
