How cool....This soap gives a whole new meaning to a bottle of wine and a bath 😊... God bless
Thanks🍷🍷
I love making beer and wine soaps. They sell very well for me 💕 I also use Tussah Silk…like the ‘slip’ it gives my bars.
Lovely earthy vineyard!

OMG that soap looks amazing. I just love watching your videos, but I just haven’t had the confidence to try this for myself. Keep making more products and video’s and maybe one day soon I can give it a go. Thank you for showing how to make such wonderful soap ❤.

Wow!! Wine at aldi..I need to move now!!!
🍷💕
Yes do a bourbon soap!!!! And these look so good. ❤ 🥃
Will do!!🍷
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you so much.
❤
Very nice, and MUCH better than my first and only wine soap. I dumped all the lye into the wine at once, it volcanoed, turned brown and smelled to high heavens. THEN, I hot processed it. It smelled so bad, I couldn't stand to use it.
Yikes 🤣🍷
First to comment😊...still watching ❤
🍷💕
I've never heard of wine soap before! I wonder how it lathers and how it affects the skin. This is an interesting soap! It's something I'm willing to try to indulge in something I don't drink... 🤷♀️
It lathers like a dream due to the natural sugars in wine🍷
Hmmmm! I have a bottle of Merlot wine but I don’t care for wine…so now I know what to do with it! Lol
Ty for the video! You showed the temp of the lye and wine at 205 degrees. May I ask what temp the lye and wine and your others oils were when you combined them? I’m also wondering what oils you used that go best with the wine?
I ended up soaping at around 80 degrees. I have a play list for videos with soap recipes😉
Beautiful❤✨ can you explain how swirls are done.. Is it loop
Yes, I go in little circles with the hanger tool.
Thank you for this video! It is something that I definitely will try, I will try not to drink the ingredients!! What I am dying to try (for a friend of mine) is a Bailey’s inspired soup. I’m not sure how or when it could be added or if it can be added (?). Do you have any thoughts on this? Again loved the video xxx
I do love Bailey's❣️ I think if I was to soap with it, I'd add it to the oils. Like the "milk in oil method"... The sugars in it might speed things along, so be prepared for that... Or you could add it after trace...
Question what type of the large mixing bowls do you use cause I'd like to get some for my soaping? Thanks so much!! Your creations are always beautiful!

Try making soap with Rum! I wonder if any of that heavenly scent would stay?
That's a fun suggestion..💕
Hi Ellen, thanks for sharing this! Just wondering what the function of the kaolin/colloidal oats are in the soap? :)
The oats add a soothing factor, and the clay gives the lather a soft feel.
Looks great!! I think it will increase the superfat, beacuse wine has a a low ph, and it will counteract with some of the lye.😅
Beautiful!! Did it end up discoloring?
No, the color stayed the same after the cure🍷
What frosting tips did you use? Thank you in advance!
They are a generic set from Amazon and don't have numbers.
Great Video? Why do you run the stick around the outside of the soap?
I think you're talking about the chop stick? I run it around to clean off any batter from the sides.
A mildura ao redor do sabonete ficou muito legal eu adorei 🇧🇷
Thanks 🍷
Was the piping on top just leftover soap batter that you let get more firm for a piping consistency or is there a particular recipe?
Yes, it was just extra batter that I let thicken up👍
Hi Ellen your TD is liquidy. What do you add water or oil to it?
I use water soluble T.D.
I tried making a wine soap and it ceased up on me… does it matter what wine I use? Thank you for another great video!
It can speed trace with all the sugars... I don't think the wine type matters much.

I was thinking I would be drunk if I drank the whole bottle of wine while makin soap...then I realised the wine is in the soap!😲
😂🤣🍷
How about a Japanese plum wine soap? Note that plum wine is sweet.
Oooo, that sounds great🍷
I just have to share this "Fail" with you and your viewers. I am editing this after the first sentence. I thought I had a fail because of the wine. Now I'm convinced it was the old pot I was mixing the sodium hydroxide in. Because I went back to remake my lye solution, This time not using alcohol, and it did it volcanoed again, Just not as badly this time. It's either a bad batch of sodium hydroxide or it's my old pot, which now looks like a brand new pot. So I will leave my original post here. Please feel free to share your thoughts.
Orig post: -So I've used juice when making my lye solution several times before. Today, I decided to use 1/3 juice, 1/3 coconut milk which I was going to add when adding to the oil solution, and about a third of some homemade wine that I had made last year that was a little too bitter for my liking. The alcohol content was so very low that I was thinking, I will just pour this directly into the juice and then add the lye. Mistake! - This is what everyone needs to know! You have to either freeze your alcohol or cook it out as Ellen said! It heats up so fast and maybe some of the acid in the wine contributed, but major volcano! Lye volcano is not cool. I wasn't expecting that to happen so once I realized I wasn't stirring THAT down, I just set it over into the sink. Luckily I was pouring slow so I only wasted about half of my sodium hydroxide. And luckily I had my arms covered in the butters and oils that I had been melting for the oil portion. I probably should wear sleeves; impervious ones! Just wanted to share my horrible experience, as this has never happened to me, and I want everyone to be aware - please prepare your alcohol prior to adding chemicals. 🙏 God bless you all!
Thank you for sharing❣️ This is a good cautionary tale, PLEASE stay safe when soaping💕
@@EllenRuthSoap I went to remake my sodium hydroxide solution and it did it again. Please read above where I edited my post. Please give me your thoughts. 💜😇
