i have to admit that i love the dress the red queen gave her
Yeh
I'm pretty sure they used curtains to make that dress.... I'm not kidding, that's actually what the Red Queen said in the movie
you my friend have a very bad taste
Yap. I watched the movie only for the dress 100 times.
@@s4ndr14 in that case
The red queen has a very good fashion designer
I thought the sentence for the movie would be “Off with its head”
Missed opportunity
Haha giid one but I like the one he had a smidge better.🤏🏾
The movie itself took off its own head already
"Dogs will believe anything"
And you heard it from the horses mouth
Omg I never noticed that
*ding*
Horse's*
Sinning you for the bad joke.
4:47 I just now figured out that the tarts thing with the frog had something to do with the next movie... Since the red queen would probably get more mad over someone lying of eating tarts cause her sister lied about it when she was young and got her into a whole lot of mess with it. or something I don't remember, but she is really mad over it.
I just got mine blown when I atleast figured it out
gees with an E same!
A raven is like a writing desk because Poe wrote on both.
You might be one of the few who got it.
+qascarface I don't get it...
+caketin neenan Edgar Allan Poe wrote "The Raven" and wrote on a writing desk
+qascarface Threw the Looking Glass (psych rock+mix)

I thought it was because both have feathers/quills
A gigantic chess board with lifesize pieces - further proof we are watching a Harry Potter movie.
The crazy aunt was Hagrid's love interest. Further proof he is watching a Harry Potter movie.
Lots of dead people/heads in the water. Further proof he is watching a Lord of the Rings movie.
There were gigantic chessboard pieces in the book Through the Looking Glass first. Then they appeared in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer 's Stone.
Alice was a Hogwarts student who ended up getting high on some “potions “.
Further proof the films trying to live up to the through the looking glass book.
Is it bad that I think the child version of Alice who are only in the first two minutes of the film seems far more interesting than the teenage version of her?
Same
Same
No, teenage Alice is a wimpy bore with no personality.
Better actress, too. Sadly.
Right? Why didn't they just do the actual story from the freaking book? This version was really disappointing.
*Watches some dude roast my favourite movie*
*"this is fine"*

That is literally what I thought when I watched the movie😂😂😂
+Sophia Litzinger same
Sophia Litzinger 😂😂
Lmao
That 1% of rich male white rabbits are so likeable ;D
I assumed the artist painting the engagement portrait had already long before started on it to CREATE what was supposed to happen. That was the joke.
Also, in response to him saying that Alice is not as blonde as the painting suggests: it is probably an underpainting which forms the base of a portrait and outlines what will be in the painting. More layers would be added after. Underpaintings are generally lighter in colour before layers are added.
Or it could be a nod to the animated version, kinda like in the live action Aladdin
2:32 The point of the wardrobe is less that they all have white and blue clothing and more to show that her world is bland and monochromatic compared to Wonderland, also yes the party probably has a dress code if it's that exclusive
its cuz of these videos that I cant enjoy movies normally anymore. my brain keeps pointing out all the logical mistakes
lol same. Whenever I point stuff out, I need to say, "I'm sorry, I'm a walking Cinemasins"
Logical mistakes in Wonderland? Oh boy!

"Trying to make sense out of Wonderland" *ting*
+Sacha Raphard Exactly what I was thinking the whole time!
Thank God someone brought it up
+Sacha Raphard god so much of this. the point of alice in wonderland is suppose to a nonsensical world
+Sacha Raphard : It seems to be a sad sign of the times. Everyone is scared of nonsense or anything that's "just for fun"... So we have to psychoanalyze the Grinch, make Willy Wonka out tp be a sociopath, etc., etc.
+Sacha Raphard
"how is she upside down on the roof"
Its wonderland.
"How are they uninjured"
Its wonderland.
"whered all this food and tea come from?"
I give up.
12:00 Um... Lol that was the point. The "6 impossible things" She was listing were intentionally things that were previously thought to be impossible, but now proved possible, hence why she said "I can slay the Jabberwocky." It was basically a motivational speech for herself, telling herself that if all that other crazy shit could take place, she could definitely slay a beast.
R.I.P Alan Rickman, R.I.P Christiphor Lee
Alan Rickman I can live with, he was only ever good in maybe 2 movies, non of which were Harry Potter films.
@@thepickygamer4450 Dude. Stop literally all of that. He's *dead.* You're purposefully insulting a dead man and saying you're alright with the fact that he died because you didn't like Harry Potter. Go see a therapist.
Rip 😭
Nice catch, Jeremy. I thought her dissing of the crazy Aunt was weird too. Alice is supposed to be accepting of madness, yet the lady waiting for a prince puts her off? Hypoooooocrite!
Well it's an issue with wording. Flying humans, giant trade routs, not giving into societal frivolity- all of those ideas are "mad" in that they don't make sense to common people. Waiting for your fictional royal lover to make his choice, that's actual madness and benefits nobody to indulge in.
...which does not fit to the story at all. That part irked me the most.
How amazing and hilarious would it have been if the prince had strolled in right as Alice was walking away and proposed to Imogen.
exactly!!
It benefits her aunt
8:27 Annnnd that's not a porcupine, that's a hedgehog *ding*
Sinning the CinemaSins? Sinception!

*ding*
Wish movies would quit bashing on corsets. Corsets are cool imo.
YES!!
I googled how many actors from Harry Potter are in this movie it was like 8 people or something.
Basically, 1 person per Harry Pottermovie.
they needed all the british people they could get
Further proof that I'm watching a Harry Potter movie * ding *
I mean, tbf practically every English actor ever was in Harry Potter. There was bound to be some overlap.
It's probably cause Tim Burton directed it
You know the worst part of this movie? They get the Queen of Hearts FREAKING NAME WRONG. "The Red Queen" is a character that only appears in Lewis Caroll's "Through the Looking Glass", is a CHESS PIECE not a playing card, is helpful to Alice, and is not at all evil. The antagonist is named "The Queen of Hearts".
Plus the book isn't even called "Alice in Wonderland", it's called "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", but then again the animated movie got the name wrong too so whatever.
+Malini Correa They didn't get the name wrong. They mixed The Red Queen and The Queen of Hearts into one character. Notice how that in the book The Red Queen and The White Queen were sisters, The Queen of Hearts was never said to be related to any of them. In this movie the character who's obviously The Queen of Hearts is the sister of The White Queen(which The Queen if Hearts was never said to be the sister of The White Queen) and is called "The Red Queen", that proves the 2 characters were mixed. Also a common shorter version for "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" is in fact "Alice in Wonderland".
That's the only part I didn't like about this movie
CuteBipolarity They mixed both characters together
ChessieTea Akatsushi Really!?
I don't think this is even pointing out actual flaws anymore.
It's just making fun of movies and I love it.
Had this video been made later, a sin would have been : Presence of Johnny Depp convinces me into thinking I'm watching a Harry Potter (related) movie
And Johnny Depp was theater in a Harry Potter (related) movie
Alice's advice to her eccentric aunt I found all but useless - they didn't have psychologists back then, and you wouldn't want a loved one to be placed in a mental institution back then. Talk about the insane treating the insane...
+Hugh S Thus the 100 sins they added on for that.
+Hugh S As far as delusions go, it's one you can live with.
Actually, Wilhelm Wundt founded the first laboratory dedicated only to psychology in 1879, and psychology also has a long history prior to that. It isn't known for sure when Alice takes place, but it is thought to be in the 1880s. Psychology is not at all a new thing, and asylums existed for a long time as a way to handle the mentally ill before psychology was better understood.
You still wouldn't have wanted a loved one in an asylum back then. And I doubt psychology was quite as sophisticated at the time the film takes place either.
Everything wrong with ratatouille?!?!
YES!!!!
OH MY GOD
you are the GOAT
"Welcome to Hell."
One of my favourite movie quotes.
+Cookie star how can you hate that movie
oh come on, i thought everyone knew by now that corsets weren’t all that bad. it’s not as if people didn’t choose to wear them. and even if not, they were sized specifically for the wearer and would only cause problems if they were shittily-made or tight laced
"People" did not choose to wear them. Much like most more or less dangerous fashion accessories, WOMEN of upper classes (and those of lesser classes who could afford them) were made to through social/family pressure.
D-did..Did you just??
Are you seriously taking historically accurate reference facts
FROM A PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN MOVIE?????
Not only did the commenter themself literally state that serious health problems will only occur if it’s tight laced which most people didn’t even do back then. But organs do actually shift back to their natural position when the corset is taken off. The constructing of the ribcage would only happen if the corset was sized incorrectly (which is rare since corsets were specifically designed FOR the wearer) or if it was tight laced. Which again, wasn’t common.
Also,
YOUR TAKING HISTORICAL REFERENCE FROM A PIRATE OF THE CARIBBEAN MOVIE
LORD HAVE MERCY ON MY PATIENCE I SWEAR TO GOD-
Please watch m.czcams.com/video/rExJskBZcW0/video.html or m.czcams.com/video/zNwTqanp0Aw/video.html if you wish to expand your knowledge on corsets and how they weren’t torture devices made to cause problems for women for centuries.
I’m sorry if my reply comes off as rude, I was just completely shocked by literally everything about your comment, I apologize.
@@murderoustendencies They were usually not harmful and certainly no acessories. You're thinking about the fashion trend of "wasp waists", achieved by unreasonably tight lacing, which was a largely mocked and frowned upon fashion trend even in it's own time. A pair of stays or a corset were made as bust support primarily (no bras until the mid-20-century) but they can also support the back during hard manual labour, which women did lots of on farms and in factories. Please check out the videos of Bernadette Banner or Priorattire on this topic, both historical seamstresses, because they can give much more elaborate and professional explanations.
Corsets were actually a huge benefit for working women and women in general. This whole bs feminist move in movies and books about how "coRseTS aRE seXIst" is stupid and misinformed. Wasp waists, sure, were a fashion statement, but the majority of corset history was not actually JUST about appearance.
Conclusion: This is a Harry Potter movie.
considering alan rickman played the caterpillar and alice said she's from umbridge that would be a good plot twist
Not to mention all of the prophecy shit and madam maxime for god sake
@Мамонт Alice potter & the rings of the Caribbean😂
Alice Potter and the Order of Wonderland. Alice Potter and the Voidsword.

also other harry potter characters: the aunt is madam maxime, and the face in the flowers is umbridge
isn't Bellatrix lestrange the red Queen
@@harrietlilypotter2644 yeah they said this in the video
did anyone else notice how sickly Alice looked?
She doesn't look sickly to me, just very fair complexion
That's how Tim Burton likes his women.
but she looks so fucking pale
+Alissa ring that is how old days define beauty, i guessed
Alissa ring It was probably all the opium. Which is why she must've wanted to go to China in the end. To get more opium. The whole movie must've just been an opium trip.
I have a sin for you: the sinner person forgets that the movie is literally Alice in wonderland, which basically excuses most of the sins *diing*
Would you want a 3 minute cinema sins video?
No movie is without sin
eh shut up who cares the videos are all in good fun, no need to get mad just because you like the movie
But this isn't like the og Alice in Wonderland because it doesn't just have crazy things happen, it has a real plot. So when weird stuff happens it looks really weird.
Kawaii Elephant777
True very very true
@@LittleIdiot858 the older ones are 3 minutes long
The whole point of the movie is to be unrealistic, and you’re making fun of it for being unrealistic
Exactly, how dumb.
Oh for god sake, it’s HIS FRIKIN JOB
ikr its legit SUPPOSED to be unrealistic why he still bully it about being unrealistic
@@drgaz6235 The OG Alice has "real" plot as well at the beginning...
@@drgaz6235 Having an actual consistent plotline doesn't mean an Alice in Wonderland reboot can't have crazy shit happening. Can you imagine an AiW story NOT having weird creatures and silly concepts? Yes, the original AiW was more like a fever dream, with random things happening to Alice that dont exactly link together like a storyline, and I do agree that if you were to make it less like an actual dream, it needs to have more rules just like any fictional world. But the rules don't have to be that restricting honestly, or it'll just ruin the fun. I think we can have some tart eating frogs and fish that walk on their fins if said creatures have the ability to talk in the first place.
I never realized how much like a Potter film this was until now.

Sweet
Could have been amazing. Don't know why it went so wrong.
+Jessica Kirkman Burton completely forgot that movies should have at least some substance.
+Jessica Kirkman movie made by producers, they just wanted comedy and a lord of the rings final battle.
I bet that Tim Burton had little to no say on the what the story was going to be about.
When you see how brilliant he was directing Edwood you can tell that this movie doesn't have his touch
because it was Tim Burton
Reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Which was by Tim Burton and had both Depp and Helena
+Jessica Kirkman we wanted, and the movie advertised as if it would be like the book, with Alice's adventure in wonderland, all the journay, but nop, cliché, lame-ass profecy hero plot. The only redeemable thing is how they picked the deepest notes and poems of the book meaning that somehow, this still adapts from the source material, and all implies the next movie will too.
You forgot to mention Frances de la Tour, who was also in Harry Potter.
10:39 "Bald, fat Ron Weasley and his twin volunteer for certain death". I'm LMAO at 1:00 in the morning 😂
there's a sinful amount of sins missing for her terrible Kristen Stewart-level 'acting'

Panda Girl this made me think of a parody
The song "because it's midnite" by limozeen
"BECAUSE IT'S WONDERLAND"

Wonderland is strange not stupid
I like how peole that keeps saying " it's not a sin, read the book"
They need to remember : this is cinima sins, not book sins or literal sins
especially since the movie has as much to do with the book as a piece of shit with a cupcake, i mean alice turns into xena warrior princess with a -ininity role on charisma in the last act for fucks sake
A Raven is like a writing desk because both produce notes yet they fall very flat.
And because they both have quills or rather, at the time they only used quills to write
Ok, the second dress she wears when she gets small is not a dress - it's her glove thingy she was wearing in the beginning.
No, it's actually an undergarment. She just tied it up to fit her.
That always bugged me as a child she's wearing underwear as a dress and has on no further undergarments for the movie supposedly till she goes to the white queen just no underwear or anything......really well okay then that's pretty weird once you think about it
@@trialerrorsharer9398, people not wearing underwear is pretty common, so much so it has its own phrase.

Stupid movie. Can't believe it has such a high rating? I truly believe the critics were bribed into giving such high rating.
+Ichigo1423jfk
Yeah, I'll agree that it was stupid (most horror films are), but it had more substance than most found footage movies and it didn't rely on heavy sex scenes like most modern horror flicks. Comparing it to films like Krumpus, Ouija, or The Visit, I'd say it's done surprisingly well for itself. For that, I give it praise.
have they done PA, Ghost Dimension yet?
+Taj White PLEASE
+Ichigo1423jfk Wait what? When I went to the movie theaters it was so bad that there was only one showtime

You are a lucky bastard because I unfortunately remembered almost the whole movie.
Alice is literally magic. She can predict the future in her dreams.. or rather her own future in her dreams. I’m surprised that they didn’t make her like a lost princess of wonderland or something like that at the end of the movie. Would have been a better movie
Not gonna lie a lot of the “sins” in this one are bull. A couple examples:
Voice actor choices are not sins ESPECIALLY Christopher lee and Alan rickman.
Having a preference in pet color is not a sin or racist. It’s like saying it’s racist to like black cats or yellow lizards or brown dogs
Physics and anatomy is known to be different in wonderland, and not having that match up with our world is not a sin
Someone being sad when they watch their way of life be destroyed is expected and therefore not a sin
Making references to the original book and movie is not a sin
Edit for everyone who is dumb enough to think I’m serious. IT IS ALL IN GOOD FUN CINEMASINS IS POKING FUN AT THE MOVIE I AM JUST POKING FUN BACK
you re right, many of these "sins" werent even legit, some were either not researched or just subjective, but i suppose thats what s funny about CinemaSins videos, the fact that they re not perhaps trying to review the movies like a commentary.
Also comparisons to Harry Potter are bullshite considering Harry Potter borrows hundreds of things from other fiction and they don't sin Harry Potter for that
These aren’t opinions these are facts and as a person who has read the book 6 times (I counted) and has been a fan of Alice in wonderland since pre k 99% of the sins are bullcrap
@@theoddeye1413 "the books don't fucking matter" - CinemaSins many many times

Corsets were actually not that bad and were one of the only ways that women could express themselves through fashion, and we only think of them as bad today because during the first-wave feminism movement men made fun of corsets and said they were harmful in order to bring women down.

At 1:02 the video said corsets were terrible but they actually weren't. Tightlacing was terrible, a practice where the corset was purposely fitted poorly and laced too tightly in order to look a certain way. Corsets were worn as regular undergarments by working class women for hundreds of years, while they were working. Women were able to go about their daily activities normally while wearing their corsets. When fitted and laced properly, they're not any more dangerous than a bra.
Our high school is putting on an Alice in Wonderland play, and I’m playing the tiny door Alice walks through.
Everything wrong with Wreck It Ralph plszzs
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
SHUT THE FUCK UP
It would make sense. Screen Junkies did a Honest Trailer of the movie today.
Yes! I love that movie!
he wouldn't
it is his favourite movie I heard
it'd take like 10 mill subscribers for that thing to be done
Imma be a little bitch real quick. I don't like how they didn't exactly understand the whole concept of Lewis Carroll's AiW: no matter what happens in Wonderland, the story follows Alice. We should only see it if Alice is there seeing it.The Hatter's flashback is one of the things that completely breaks that rule. Also, "Jabberwocky" is the name of the poem, not of the monster, which is called "Jabberwock".
These are just my nitpicky thoughts. It's a good movie, it just doesn't stay true to Alice.
+Floweraise It's called a Jabberwock in the books too.
Yeah, right... The second movie suddenly revealed that Wonderland/Underland is a typical fairytale country with completely sane people. And Alice's gang seem to be the only freaks around. Ok, these movies never took place in actual "Wonderland", period. It just can't be.
The MLG Hope Estheim *Ding*
This is one of my favourite movies so... lets see where this goes
underrated comment
1 of the problems I have with this movie is the fact that the Dormouse is wide awake and energetic when it's tired all the time in the book. Dormice even got their name from the word "dormeus" which means "sleepy 1".
"have you any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?"
A: They both have quills!!!! :)
ourWorld Lucy because in the olden days (not specifying date as I'm sure I'll get it wrong), quills were fashioned into writing tools. Have you not seen any of the Harry Potter films? 😏
Because Poe wrote on both..or there is no answer.
Alex Hrycaj lol
352 650 oh, that makes much more sense.
Y'all. Everyone is arguing about this answer but the point of this riddle is that there are MANY different answers.
"You take the red pill, and you stay in Wonderland. I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole really is."
"I'll show you how deep the rabbit hole really is."
"How deep the rabbit hole really is."
I'm I the only one who finds that perverted?
not surprised
Yes. Yes you are.
your comment just reminds me of the aviator.
no!!!
Given the large amount of Zootopia rule 34 I've seen...no. No, you are not.
9:12
Instead of a horsefly like we are familiar with, knowing wonderland, my guess is that it's a horse that has ridiculously small fly wings and still can fly. Therefore...a lot of urine.
I love these movies. They give such a dark twist to an old novel with such an semi-innocent plot
Anyone else agree, the CGI is truly awful? Surely someone else agrees...
Oh definitely, this movie was disgusting
+DefinitelynotaSnake I'm so glad I'm not the only one...
Same
+asmith121 It was dated even in 2010
+asmith121 The severed Jabberwock-head in the end annoyed me the most. looked so rubbery, it's like they weren't even trying
I want Cinema Sins to do a Movie Sins video where they say "Nothing is wrong with this movie. It was fucking awesome. The end."
that would be the empire...which is just 8 hours footage of empire state building. there is nothing wrong with that movie.
"No movie is without sin"
That would be ' The Shawshank Redemption '
Bullshit
@@user-kw6me1je3e Sorry, Family Guy got to that one.
“Why does the porcupine squeak?” 😂 that’s a hedgehog 🦔
This movie is notable for putting back together several actors who previously appeared in well known movie series. Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Paul Whitehouse, Timothy Spall, Frances de la Tour and Imelda Staunton previously appeared in Harry Potter series, while Martin Csokas and Christopher Lee appeared in Lord of the Rings trilogy. Likewise, Johnny Depp, Bonham Carter, Rickman and Spall previously appeared in most of other Tim Burton's movies. Only one missing from Tim Burton's regular cast is Sasha Baron Coen.
