As a cruiser fan who only likes Battlecruiser like BBs, I'm in love. It goes allll the way back years ago when I fell in love with the Dunkerque even though everyone would say it was just okay. I have always had good games consistently in it!
the Kongo was my first love in this game back in the closed beta. fast, accurate, and range for days.
Hey man! I just wanted to say how much I love your content. I started playing WoW 6 years ago but I stopped back in 2019. Then the YT algo started showing me your videos and your enthusiasm for the game made me want to play again. I just wanted to say thank you and keep up the awesome content!

Really excited to get these guys, been waiting for them and I cant wait until they’re out of early access. Love my fast battleships and battlecruisers.
more players need to see what you did at the A cap after you chased off the enemy BB and controlled that flank. you DID NOT push north but turned back to the southern side of the islands and stayed with the caps to help the team control them. it seems like 90% of the players just HAVE TO keep pushing forward on their flank and will chase the enemy all the way to the edge of the map and take themselves so far out of position they are of no use to the team.
Agreed its very frustrating to watch them "win harder" and die in the process.
You have to understand though that this only worked and was the correct move because there was a cyclone. You can't just leave 3 ships on your flank and turn 90 degrees to them and face the other flank. You will be crossfired and DIE.
That's called "don't chase the squirrel". I used to see a lot of people doing the same thing in multiple other games getting tunnel vision and chasing a supposedly easy target for entire match duration.

@@Sfirodrepanoskarxarias Fuck I hate cyclones. Only introduced because they mostly benefit BBs and WG wants to coddle their main player base, BB captains.
First Schlieffen, then Incomparable, now this thing. I’m starting to suspect WG’s third love is battlecruisers (behind subs and CVs of course)
Issue with battlecruisers is that it’s a toss up between the best game ever or the most miserable 20 minutes of your life. Especially with CV and the terrible AA every battlecruiser gets
Dont forget marseille, the french BC, sure shes not in a bb slot, but shes still a BC
@@BigD321 that part I have a hard time figuring out, why Marsille takes a cruiser slot but not a BB slot like Schlieffen or Incomparable.
@@zlpatriot11 well, it leans more towards the cruiser side of the battlecruiser spectrum, bigger guns than other cruisers, but not as big as battleships/other battlecruisers, similarly to stalin and alaska, tho they get much better armor

Got Duncan in the first bundle and it's a lot of fun, so fast with brisk and the guns slap. The nuclear torps still surprise people.

its a bit like a sharnost, but with more speed...you have the speed and agility of cruiser, lots of heal; good at distance and close fight, i made 3 games, and totally go rampage even when we loose.
5:37 Yes it's a new bug happened to me twice already. For some reason game thinks you crashed into yourself. It also shows it on the score card under the detailed report. It's kinda funny tho

I got Duncan as first bundle so bought for 1000 doubs. Just finished the grind to St Vincent yesterday. Took about 20 battles. Now have to wait for the official release lol

No they wont raise the citadel, its the final version and its wayy weaker than ships like thunderer

I was getting crushed by St Vincent’s while playing my Zao the other night in ranked.
Both times I was kiting and lighting. Didn’t seem to matter how much I zigged and zagged. The dudes were smacking me pretty good from all angles.

That has to be the ugliest ship I've ever seen
British empire never was very good at making beautiful/max effective ships. Hood had alot of wasted space, then ugly Betty's like this and nelson class.
Lots of Britsh BBs only look pretty in a certain light - the G3s, which had been laid down and were likely the target of the Washington Naval Treaty looked pretty similar to these.
@@Mooncricketstinks Hood had a lot of wasted space? It's a WW1 era vessel with similar speed and protection and less displacement than Bismarck. Yes, Bismarck wasn't a great design but there is a *slight* technology gap there ^^

@@Mooncricketstinks Beautiful ships is a case of personal taste but if you had to accuse one navy of not making effective ships it certainly wouldn't be the Royal Navy, especially when the Kriegsmarine existed. Hood is also one of the worst examples of ineffective ship designs.

Think that is a new bug with the HE. Also switched many times to HE without pressing the 1 key.

Ducan is fun but in my eyes its weak
360 deg turrets and 1 fast-loading torp per tube. Can't wait to get this into my port. Thanks PQ for the superb quality content -- you're by far the best in WoWs space: calm, collected, and a thinking man's captain.

The back one as a an almost 300 but no 360. front ones as well. jst on the opposite

It doesn't show the actual speed of the target, it shows the max speed. Not sure if it's the same one, but there's one available on Modstation.
That's a new bug. It happens to me now and then. It seems like you ran into another that isn't there. Also I find the AA to be too quiet now. Guns going off suddenly has saved my bacon a few too many times. Lol

I thought I was having lag issues. The collision sound bug seems to be affecting more than just me, I think.
saw my first st vincent yesterday in a game.. he got shot within the first minute of the game by some BBs I guess.. deleted in one salvo.. and yes he was in my team of course lol
it was obviously very long range so I guess the deck armor wasn't enough for whatever hit him

I got lucky with the bundles and am really enjoying my Duncan, if you angle properly and keep your rudder moving the enemy will have a pretty difficult time dealing with you. Having been initially horrified to see the size of the citadel, I'm not really feeling punished by it in game - and am now even more hyped for the Vincent.
Hmm spending money on a tech tree tier 9 sounds like a good idea 👍

The St Vincent has a 63%(!!!) HE fire chance, compared to conqueror's 48%...woah
With battlecruisers becoming more prominent in the game, my question is what would a USN or IJN battlecruiser line would look like in game?
The Constellation is a BC if I recall correctly, it has torps and radar and seems like an interesting concept, maybe they'd build off of that?
We have Alaska and Azuma/Yoshino in-game. And those are for sure large cruisers/battlecruisers.
@@dragonfang2473 theres also alaska as an american BC, on the other end of the spectrum, would be down for either tho
Theres quite a few ijn BC designs, enough to make a full line, one of which had 8 yamato guns iirc, would be a cool tier 10 for that. Idk about the USN tho, I havent seen that many designs for BCs from them, but i’d be down for it

Minor quibble, but I think I've seen you make this mistake a couple of times. I'm pretty sure that Damage from AP full penetrations is just as healable as damage from HE penetrations; it's only when you take citadel damage that AP becomes less healable.
Yep, I think he means fires?
Nope: AP and HE *penetration* damage is only repairable up to a percentage, normally 50 or 60. It's only the fire and flooding damage that is entirely healable.
@@waverleyjournalise5757 You're misunderstanding me. You're right, the penetrations are only so repairable, compared to fire which is 100% repairable. My point is (and where PQ errs) is that AP and HE damage is *equally* repairable.

I was the Brest after winning my side basically alone my 3-4 healthy ships all rush 1 by 1 throwing the game you love to see it, also love how that paper armour ship shattered all my shells from 6km away got to love rng
I've seen a lot of Duncans in randoms over the past few days and I haven't been impressed. Their armour is actually worse than the German battlecruisers and the gun layout on the TIX-X ships seems to make kiting really uncomfortable, but as a ship nerd, I like everything up to Renown, so I'll get around to trying the line eventually.
I'm just not a fan of the subtle powercreep we've been getting with BBs having competitive guns and cruiser-like concealment.
Duncan has good firing angles so kiting isn't too bad and rudder shift is quite good too.
Given that BB armour is entirely irrelevant with Cruisers spamming hundreds of rounds of HE, it's about time the BBs got the ability to fight back.

This ship is over powered.
The only bad thing is that since his HE has good values many players will waste it using only HE and not AP, but anyway those are the below average players.
Can someone share some experience with the ships from T5-T8 of this line?
I recently grinded the german Battlecruisers. Imo they re the worst BBs from T5 to T8, such a horrible experience in mid tier. However, Rupprecht and Schlieffen are great. Hope the british BCs offer more good ships throughout the line, not just free XP sink traps laid by WG.
i would free xp the line, i also free xp'd to the t8 german BC, these newer lines have terrible low tier ships and only see their "gimmick" or purpose at the later tiers
Looks like T5-T8 will be more than enjoyable, specifically the Tiger and Repulse seem they'd be a great reprieve from dreadnoughts. Rooke and Hawke look nice too.

accurate guns, can pen 30mm, British HE, good concealment, superheal, fast, has torpedo for incoming yolo with good angle (even tho just 1 torp)

Of COURSE it will be stupidly good. WG has to give people a reason to grind like crack addicted monkeys. Or, better still, spend money on 'free' (LOL) experience so they can avoid playing the game at all. It's kind of genius in understanding and exploiting human frailties, although it sucks if you care about QUALITY.
It's not as though they really do any serious GAME development, they simply jam increasing amounts of BS into what are essentially the same battles I fought all that time ago in Alpha testing.

Overmatch shouldn't be able to strike citadel and should be fully healable. It's extremely cringe to lose to someone who can literally ignore the core mechanic of this game.
