- Here comes my most elaborate Marble run / Marble Race so far. It's the same track as before but this time with a few more details and features. I added an Ultra Wide TV or Ultra Wide Monitor and a flag.
Here I have made many small changes and played a bit with the textures.
I hope you like the version of Marble Run / Marble Race.
Unfortunately some people complained about the slow motion repetitions, so I took them out completely. Please write in the comments which version you liked better. With replays or without replays in slow motion.
Personally, I really liked the slow motion version but I also noticed that it made this video way too long. I know that short videos are better received by you. For me it also shortens the render time. So I leave it up to you to decide how it will be in the future.
Write in the comments how you find the idea with the monitor or TV.

sad to see in your video description that ppl are copying your stuff. And as you 've written, it is even more sad they don't even bother to come up with an own idea. I'm working on my idea and concept since 2 years straight. I have a huge project in mind and I'll use blender for it. I do drawings everyday take notes and refine my concept. At the same time I upgrade my PC piece per piece (especially since GPU prices are through the roof but I got one last month

Vielen Dank für das nette Kompliment. Dieses Video hat auch etwas länger gedauert wie die Marble Run Animations davor, obwohl die Strecke fast die gleiche ist.
Ich bin nicht groß in der Branche. Ich mache das mehr oder weniger nur hobbymäßig (natürlich gewerblich angemeldet) und ich produziere nur für meine eigenen Kanäle. Ich habe einen Vollzeitjob in einer völlig anderen Branche die überhaupt nichts mit 3D zu tun hat. Das ganze habe ich mir nur über Tutorials und früher Bücher selbst beigebracht. Deshalb bin ich immer besonders glücklich über solche positiven Kommentare :)

Ich bin Autodidakt in Grafik und habe vor langer Zeit einige Spiele veröffentlicht.
In meiner Freizeit ging ich dann aufs College, um etwas über relationale Datenbanken zu lernen.
Da ich diese Datenbanken alleine nicht in den Griff bekommen konnte.
Das hat 18 Monate gedauert, aber ich habe das Advanced Diploma in diesem Fach erworben.
Das College fragte mich dann, ob ich ihnen helfen würde, I.T.
Das war neben meiner Hauptarbeit.
Also stimmte ich nach einer weiteren Grundschulung in dem, was erforderlich war, zu, weil ich Computerarbeit liebe.
Zwei Vollzeitjobs zu halten war nicht einfach.
Ich verließ die IT-Seite nach 2 Jahren, war aber sehr glücklich.
@@AdventuresandLifestyle Das ist voll cool. Ich bin ja nicht mehr der jüngste deshalb habe ich ja auch schon einige Dinge hinter mir. Ich bin übrigens ein absoluter Fan von Programmierung. Würde ich das mit den Animationen nicht machen, würde ich vermutlich weiter programmieren. Ich habe einen weiteren Kanal, wo ich aber schon seit langem keine Videos mehr mache weil ich das zeitlich nicht mehr schaffe. Wenn Du aber z.B. Google Script Programmierung aufrufst, dann findest Du mich immer noch ganz vorne bei der Suche (Toptorials Office oder Webseite Toptorials punkt com) ;)
Früher habe ich sehr viel mit PHP und MySQL Datenbanken gearbeitet. Ebenfalls alles selbst beigebracht. Das ist schon immer total cool und kennst Du ja selbst. Jedes Script welches am Ende so funktioniert wie man es wollte gibt einem ein absolutes Glücksgefühl.
Umso mehr man programmiert umso schneller funktioniert auch die Fehlerfindung. Wo man früher stundenlang den Fehler nicht finden konnte braucht man dann manchmal nur noch Sekunden (oder vielleicht ein paar Minuten). Ich kann mich noch sehr gut daran erinnern dass ich extrem lange dafür gebraucht habe die Programmierung von Klassen zu verstehen. Funktionen waren kein Problem aber Klassen musste ich mir mehrere Wochen reinhämmern um das in meinen Kopf zu bekommen. Jetzt habe ich natürlich wieder eine Menge vergessen.
Wenn ich mehr Zeit hätte würde ich selbst auch Spiele mit Unreal oder Unity programmieren. Genauso würde ich gerne eigene Plugins für Wordpress programmieren. Das würde mir verdammt viel Spaß machen. Das krasse ist, dass selbst wenn ich zu Hause bin und wegen Krankheit oder Urlaub den ganzen Tag damit beschäftigt sein könnte die Zeit einfach nicht ausreicht um Projekte oder alles was einem Spaß macht abzuarbeiten. Ich werde allerdings vielleicht nochmal etwas mit Python machen, da ich das auch für einige der 3D Programme nutzen kann.
Na mal sehen was die Zukunft noch bringt. Wichtig ist auf jeden Fall nicht zu vergessen dass es da draußen auch ein Leben gibt. Das hatte ich über lange Zeit schon fast vergessen und versuche dieses Jahr ein wenig mehr außerhalb zu verbringen. Mal schauen ob das klappt.

Do the different balls have different properties?
The balls all have the same properties. Only the color / texture changes. But this has no effect on the course of the simulation.
I also like yellow very much here. Especially the color really stands out here in the animation. I like black best (which doesn't appear in this animation except at the start), but I like yellow best as a color here.

Whoever creates a simulation / animation can influence everything as he wants. However, in all these races, all balls have received exactly the same settings. I have therefore specially built in the small stops, so that the distance between the balls is not so large. Otherwise the camera could not show all of them at the same time. Only if the camera would be very far away. But then the balls would be very small.
But to answer your question correctly, I can manipulate everything as I want ;)

@@monajahan581 I try to make the animations / simulations as realistic as possible. But I still have a lot to learn. My goal in the future is to make videos that are indistinguishable from reality. But this is a long way.

56 hours render time sounds reasonable but then again you have powerful hardware at your disposal. ;-)
Yes, you are right. The hardware isn't bad, but it can't be enough.
The render time is also very inaccurate. It is calculated and added for each frame individually.
One of my computers takes 15 seconds per image, the other 1 minute for the same image. One computer has 4 x 3090 RTX the other 2 Titan xP (just for comparison).
If I had rendered everything with the first PC and used only this PC it would have been much faster from the render time calculation.
But what do I tell you, you know yourself as I have seen on your channel :)

@@C4D4U Yeah, you can never have enough hardware. However, having your machines does help. ;-) I have to contend with render times of up to 5 minutes per frame. And with hardware (especially GPU) prices being what they are, I don't really see that changing any time soon.
@@C4DRS4U Yes, I agree with you completely. The prices for computers have become extremely expensive. I bought a computer a year ago that is almost twice as expensive today. I am very annoyed that I did not buy two at the same time. That's why I'm hesitating to buy more computers. Difficult time.
5 minutes per picture is very long. But you also do a lot with hair. With my animation czcams.com/video/M_ULGANfj_4/video.html I also had extreme render times with water and hair. The description says how long the render times were there. Madness.

1. Was machst du eigentlich während der Computer eine Simulation rendert?
2. Hast du eine Version die schneller aber weniger akkurat ist?
1. Ich arbeite mit mehreren Computern. Ich kann also, wenn eine Simulation gerendert wird weiter an meiner Workstation arbeiten. Die Workstation wird dann nicht zum Rendern benutzt. Allerdings steuert die Workstation die anderen Computer und versorgt diese mit den nötigen Daten. Ich könnte die Systeme auch trennen aber so funktioniert es bisher noch recht gut. Ich könnte auch an einer neuen Scene arbeiten, was ich auch ab und zu mache. Meistens lerne ich aber in der Zwischenzeit und schaue mir selbst eine Menge Tutorials an oder benutze andere Programme. Wenn man beim Rendern mit dem Hauptprogramm also weiter arbeitet und es zu einem Absturz kommt, weil man in der neuen Scene ein Problem hat, wird auch das Rendern unterbrochen. Das führt zu einer Menge Nacharbeit (zumindest bei meinem Workflow).
2. Ich könnte natürlich eine sehr viel schnellere Version erstellen, zumindest was das Rendern angeht. Ich könnte eine geringere Auflösung nehmen oder auch die Settings beim Rendern minimieren um damit vielleicht viermal schneller zu sein. Allerdings gibt es dann einen ziemlichen Qualitätsverlust. Es soll den Zuschauern und natürlich auch mir gefallen, deshalb sind die Renderzeiten auch so hoch. Die Berechnungszeiten für die Simulation selbst sind Standard also nicht weiter hochgeschraubt.
