@@AlesiaMichelle Yeah I am more of a rock metal guy. The Blood and Glitter song and video came at the end of 2022 and this hit me instantly. The whole album is amazing. I gave it a 10. I hope you post the live performance and please try to make it to the US for a headline show. I think you should play every song on the album. It was that good.

I love listening to Chris, he has such a soothing voice and the way he talks about te most boring stuff suddenly makes it interesting.
Charming as always. One of the reasons I love this band so much.
Thank you for the great interview 🖤❤

I really enjoyed this interview. What an interesting person, he took each question and gave a very thoughtful and sincere answer. Plus, I am learning German and learned a new word Weidenkaetzchen.

A genuine good and thoughtful guy.
The song is great and it would really stand out in the current lineup of competing songs.
I really hope Deutschland picks them. Let’s go 🩸&✨

Chris Harms, one of the most genuine person in the music industry. Thank you so much for making this interview happen!

I haven't been following the national selection but I do remember last year commenting somewhere that, if I had to pick someone from Germany, that would be Lord of the Lost. Been a fan for years and I find their music to be creative, weird and with exquisite aesthetics. The industrial element is, at least for me, important, because whenever I think of Germany in terms of music, I think of industrial music, and the fact that they have this element gives, at least for me, something wonderful and with identity. Loved to see Chris in an eurovision related channel!!!

Vocalist sounds like Peter Murphy at different points in the performance. Impressive! Germany has 3 quality songs I really like this year,- This is of course one of them and probably the best choice for Germany if performed well live. Good luck from Norway

This is gonna be so amazing on stage. I feel sorry for the clean up staff.

Yes, Pete Murphy. I'm happy to find someone else who's said that as I've said exactly the same thing. 🙂
Chris Harms though is a thoroughly decent naan who is gorgeous inside & out. I can't see Chris being involved in a hit & run, unlike Pete. He's more the sort to see an accident & stop to help. That's what I meant when I said gorgeous inside & out, he's full of empathy.

And as a fan of Lord Of The Lost, I hope they go and win the ESC in Liverpool!

Really loved your questions and loved Chris' answers. Especially because as a fan of the band, you kind of already knew the answers for general interview questions and it is always so colourful to learn knew things, hear knew stories about your favourite singer. Thank you! I have so much hope that they will make it to Liverpool, because I think they are one of the most hidden gem of the German music world that must be given a chance to show how amazing theiy are on their live performance.

I really enjoyed listening to you both on this interview. Great questions and well considered answers. The fib about the catkins made me laugh and reminded me that I believed spaghetti grew on trees because I saw it on TV at a young age. Must've been an April fool. Anyway, thanks Alesia!

It's so cool that a band I've been listening to for years is in the running to compete at ESC (although I have to admit this is one of their weaker songs) I really enjoyed this interview!

    • @angelaburrow8114
      @angelaburrow8114 Před rokem +1

I'm late to the LotL party. I first heard of them when the list of artists performing in Germany's national final was initially released. I started listening to the entries & a few of each of the artist's other songs. Blood & Glitter blew my mind (not literally thankfully, but it was switch on the music, explosion, kaboom!) & I ended up buying their 8 studio albums in a week. Talk about self-indulgent, but in my defence I've not spent anything on music for at least 5 years.
What's your favourite song by them? Mine's either Ruins or Raining Stars, which is sublime & I've not yet managed to listen to it once without crying. I think the best thing about this band is they're musical chameleons, with each album different to the previous & the next. You simply can't get bored of group that is constantly changing their musical style. 🙂

  • @metalvisionsongcontest7055

I didn’t understand the connections between glam and goth right away. But Blood and Glitter is the perfect synthesis of the two. 😁 I think glam was there first, and then goth came when some of the guys didn’t want to sing as high as the glam guys anymore.

  • @metalvisionsongcontest7055

Didn’t expect Chris to be such a language nerd, too! 😁 Swahili is indeed a language you can learn on Duolingo - but I don’t think it has any click sounds.
