This is how my work week looks like as a starting out illustrator in Berlin.

Yes! I can’t imagine surviving in any other way! And not putting the pressure on your craft to make you a living when you are starting out is so important while you are still developing it:) 2 years in I still have a 2 day shop job, soon switching it for an animation internship:) probably will still have some sort of side job after that:)

Donyounthink it's possible for someone to do illustration part time and then do something else creative to make a living like music composition/performance and something science related..and please donyou have a good amount of time to travel a lot and go on vacation? Hope to hear from you.
@@leif1075 Hi! Sure it is possible and a great thing if you have multiple ways to earn money. Its hard and uncertain in this field, especially when starting out, so whatever works for you! At 28 I still work at a shop part time to make rent, spending the rest of time on illustration and there is progress with making money with it, but slow:) my goal is to be an illustrator full time (and i am trying to grow youtube also to help with income:)). If you have other things that sustain you and you enjoy them, there is nothing wrong in that, even if your art does not make you money, you are still an artist! 💌🌷
