I love this recipe Auntie Fauzia, where can I get the tamarind here in the United States? Thank you for sharing. Anyways, I love your signature tunes you use when cooking 👌
I usually buy tamarind at the Asian shops here in UK so check whether you can get one at the Asian shops 👍👍
@@Fauziamoula salaam alaikum sis. Hope you all doing well. Very nice recipe 😋. Where are you in the UK please?
Nice video where can I get the white cloth used for straining. Have you got a name for it?Thanks
Well the one I used is a juice strainer but you can use either muslin or any fine cloth 👍👍
And oh I got mine at wilko and you can either get one at any supermarket shop or online
Great work
But I want to ask, can we use dates as a sweetener instead of sugar?
Yes you can👍
Pls can I boil it a bit impurities of it since I don't know how d processes d Samia paste passed thru
There's one with the skin you can buy that one and remove the skin yourself but I don't think you need to boil it but heeh you can try sha 👍😊
You can use warm water to extract the juice from the saamia.
Hi, pls if I need two gallons, I need a measurements for it
Hi new subscriber here thanks for the video.....can I please use Hwentia (Grains of Selim) instead of the Black pepper corn? Thank you
Grains of selim makes it taste bitter so I would have preferred you to use black pepper corn instead but if you don't have one then use just one or two grains of selim or it will spuel everything dear👍
Thank you 🙏
You welcome dear😘
Where do I get the tamarind paste to buy in Ghana
I asked a question??
Lucky you! you can get it at any market in Ghana just ask for saamia👍
You can get it from any Indian or Pakistanian shop

@@Fauziamoula makola or Nima?
@@justine-mariesenchim7652 You can get one at either Nima or Makola so you choose the one closer to you👍😊
@@Fauziamoula thank you
You welcome dear 😘
Dose it has an akan name?
I think it's called Emudro 👍
Thanks dear
I tried and its tasty
I want to know the purpose of the tamarind
And do we have a drink called Saamia??
Tamarind has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that protect against diseases such as heart disease, cancer and diabetes so we add it because it's good and will also give the drink some flavour with its bitter sweet taste which is a plus. Tamarind is called in Ghana Saamia 👍😊.
@@Fauziamoula Does the tamarind give the Emudro color?
Yes please it does 👍
Plz what's the name of the black ingredient that u mushed.
Is called Tamarind 👍thanks for watching dear 😘
Thanks too
Please ooo I bought saamia from Ghana market but dnt know how to go about it. It comes in black pods so am very confused how do I go abt it please
Put the amount you want to use in the water for some 30 minute or an hour and then mix it and then strain it and add it to the other stuff that's it dear👍
Woooww great thanks so much. So much of help. Am grateful
