Why I Am A Feminist

This video isn’t going to be my typical video essay. I want to talk about feminism. Not really about feminism per se, but why I personally support feminism and why I think supporting feminism is everyone’s duty. If you oppose feminism for some reason, maybe your opinion will be changed by the end of this video.

As a trans girl, this video touch me. I’m happy u teach why feminism is important and virtuous, not just for us but to the world. I like how u teach the importants of abortions and spread awareness of how some countries horribly treat women just because of their sex and gender. Speaking of which, there are some unfortunate problems within the feminist movement due to some feminists not supporting lgbtq+ people especially trans women like what?? The point of feminism is that all women are having equal rights and opportunities among other genders. Women are Women. They can earned equal support and rights regardless of their race, identity, and sexuality. Anyways, thank u for your support and making this video😊

I'm so glad you made this video! This exact subject has been on my mind recently, and it's honestly sad when I hear men say that feminism is unnecessary since "sexism is gone now". I just wish that women could have the equitable treatment they deserve as humans, and you have helped contribute to making that a reality, so thank you.

I agree with a lot of what you said but I have some things to say.
When people say we are past feminism, be that right or wrong, they aren't referring to the entire world because Afghanistani's probably wont see or care about the women's marches in western countries. I believe the women in these countries should be free, I believe all people should be equal, although I strongly appose equality of outcome.
Abortion rubs me the wrong way but I still believe it should be legal because I believe adult people should be allowed to do as they please with their bodies, despite how I feel about what they do. You also spoke on how women earn less because they become pregnant and men take higher paying jobs. What is your solution? Pay women more despite working safer jobs and working less? I don't get it.
I believe in liberal values which solve all of these aforementioned problems, except for the pay "problem" to which I've yet to hear a convincing argument for.
If anyone has any counter-arguments I would be happy to hear them.
