- Those that have known me for the last 7 years know I have, obviously, grown obsessed with roller coasters. Those than have known me for the last 25-30 years? They know I have always loved geography! Especially the unique differences and intricacies of the 50 states here in the US. Therefore, it was always inevitable that I would one day produce content combining the two. Over a series of 5 videos, join me as I rank all 50 states based on how good their specific roller coaster collection is! It for sure won't be based on quantity alone, when in actuality, there will be way more emphasis on quality. In Part Five, we have FINALLY made it, to the Top 10!! Which state will end up being #1, and will you agree?? Enjoy all :)

And one final thanks to all of you for watching!
I'm glad to live in Pennsylvania and have Hershey, SFGAdv, Dorney, SFA, Nick U, Knoebels, Kings Dominion, Kennywood, SFNE, Lake Compounce, and BGW all under 5 hours away from me.
It’s for sure a top place to live as an enthusiast!
@coaster365 I think the states above it have better lineups but when you consider location, PA is on top
If you're specifically a fan of old-school wooden rides, no place in the world beats Pennsylvania. And they've got plenty of great steel coasters too.
Just want to say your cedar fair ranking was totally right, I had only been to cp before, and this last week I visited ki. So much less stress, so many rerides on the faves. So fun! Tbh I liked Orion, diamondback, and mystic timbers more than most coasters at cedar point
Love that!! 🙌🙌🙌 The vibes are just 🤌 at KI
As a New Jersey native I agree with the placement state boundary wide, but the good news is we are also close to PA and short drives to Hershey, dorney, and so it’s an elite place to Iive for an enthusiast.
Oh yeah, one of the best for sure. Anywhere in the Philly or Pittsburgh area, you’re golden
You got it perfectly correct. Florida, California, and Pennsylvania are without a doubt definitely the top three with Ohio being 4 then Texas, Virginia, and Missouri being interchangeable. Great job and great series!
Danggggg, that’s a rare full agreement!! 🙌 Thank you so much!!
Let's go Florida! It has to have the best one two punch of any state in America! Great vid as always
❤️❤️❤️
Great job on this series, Bryant! It was very enjoyable!
Thank you so much Kevin!! ❤️
What a fun series! Can't wait for more!
Thank you Chris!! Means a lot ❤️
I can't argue with why or how you came to these rankings, but as a construction worker with no PTO, Ohio has got to be #1 if you factor in affordability for the coaster riding hobby. 1 gold pass ($99 in the Aug.) plus All Park Passport (another $99) gets you unlimited entry into 2 of the greatest parks. I can get to CP in about an hour and KI in about 3.5 so gas isn't that bad either and rarely do I have to spend on overnight accommodations.
I actually don’t disagree with that all!!
What a beautifully made video!! Amazing job on this series!!

I live in Indiana, and am 2-4 hours away from: Holiday World, Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Island, Stricker’s Grove, Cedar Point, Six Flags Great America, Michigans Adventure, and Indiana Beach. Despite none of them being super close, still a lot of great options
It’s arguably a top 5 coaster state to LIVE in the US for sure!
Genuinely enjoyed this entire series! Thank you for putting in all the time and effort it took to create it! Being from the Wash DC area, we are lucky enough to have several top states/parks within a 2-3 hour drive and take full advantage it!
Appreciate that so much!! ❤️ Very jealous of DC folks for sure, so many parks within a 6hr drive!
Really enjoyed this! I’m the Month of June I’m trying to go on as many coasters as possible and going to both California and Florida!! Stoked to Coast!!
That’s incredible!! Have the best time!
@@coaster365 thank you! 😊 I’m doing both Disney and universal studios in both states. Knoxberry Farm and I’m hoping sea world Orlando
Such a good series man, as someone who's not from the US this was super entertaining!
Ah I’m so glad to hear that!! Hopefully one day I’m well traveled enough to do the same for other continents!
Awesome job, Bryant! I really enjoyed this series, and not just because of the surprising spot for Missouri. You did a great job explaining that pick too. I tend to get jealous of some other states' parks and coasters, but going through your rankings was a reminder that things are pretty good here. I'm heading back to Silver Dollar City again next week - it's definitely worth the drive from St. Louis. Thanks again for the incredible work on this channel!
Thank you so much for the kind words Dan, as always! ❤️ But yeah MO is just one of the very few states with 3 full-day parks, had to put it that high!
Awwww yeah the list is complete! Thanks for the great series!
❤️❤️❤️
OH MY GOSH YAY! I've been waiting for this all week!!! Thank you for the videos!
❤️❤️❤️
A few more points for Florida: Every park is open year round, and are all very accessible, being so close to a major airport.
One thing I hate about the northern parks is how much more spread out they are, making it a pain to reach everything. Just the CITY of Orlando outmatches every other state...
VERY good point!! No winter blues there that’s for sure 😄
I believe Georgia may rank higher than New Jersey by riding SFOG’s new for 2024 coaster GA Surfer in my opinion. It may be the sleeper hit of the year but it sounds like a fun ride anyways.
Well don’t forget, Great Adventure’s getting a super boomerang too 🙂, and at least for my eyeball test, looks to be better than Georgia Surfer
Loved how PA got to top 3, and also the TTPD reference for Florida haha. Great series!
Had to haha 😎, and thank you!!
You nailed it!! Great series
Thank you!! ❤️
As a fellow Ohioan, I was fully prepared to throw my tv right out the window…but then you made some very solid arguments for the top three 😂 loved this series dude, keep doing what you’re doing!
😂😂😂, love it, and thank you all around!! Yeah if Ohio just had another good, small park, like a Knoebels/Kennywood, it could move up
@@coaster365 Geauga Lake RIP
So good. Even after having visited several parks in these states, there’s so many elite ones in have to visit on this list.
Us in the US really have it easy to get on a ridiculous amount of incredible rides.
Definitely the best in the world!!
Forgot to mention I LOVE the Taylor Swift reference for Florida haha cracked me up
😎😎😎
Great video Bryant! ❤
Thanks Barbora!! ☺️❤️
Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, California
The top 2 could switch with epic universe coming. Adding more quality to Florida.
That’s fair! Like I said, Florida’s already there for me, Epic will just be the cherry on top
SFOG has the best Batman I've been on, Scorcher still runs great and Goliath owns bigger B&M hypers. AF1 is one of the best coasters I've been on. Easy top 5.
All fair!! For me Georgia still needs either 1 or 2 more top-tier coasters, and/or another legit coaster park, to compete with the states above it
@coaster365 unfortunately there isn't another market strong enough to support another top park. Maybe Fun Spot will be able to expand with another quality coaster.
From a tier perspective you nailed it. I think I’m down with your order from 5-10. I was a little surprised Georgia wasn’t 10 for you but glad it got 9. I think I would not have “the Disney effect” impact the top 4. I think it is real close with these states and it depends on the type of coasters you like. Your order isn’t wrong but it may not be right. Way easier ranking individual coasters than states of coasters tbf. And dude, dude, dude we need to talk about your B&M hyper rankings.
Have we not talked about our hyper differences enough already? 😝😝😝 But appreciate that ❤️, those Top 4 are so close, I don’t think there is a true “right” order
@@coaster365 the top 4 could go any which way. No other state matches the 1-2 punch of Florida but if I look at my top 10% of coasters the other three states far outweigh Florida. Only the country of Belgium comes close to having a 1-2 punch like Florida. But after those top 2, mako, and Montu no other coaster hits my top 10%. Each of the other states I think have 7. Quality vs quantity. Age old question. Way tougher to rank states than individual coasters. I also think parks would be difficult to rank
I’m from Ohio and love Kings Island. But, I have to agree that Florida has the best variety of solid coasters. Peace
Well, that was a surprise! I don't normally see PA ranked over Ohio, although you made very solid arguments, and I'm happy to accept your judgment. Watching Hershey grow from good to great to elite over the past couple of decades has been one of the joys of living here.
Oh yeah pre-Candymonium… Ohio may have gotten the nod, but then add that AND Wildcat’s Revenge, that tipped the scale for me
I agree that Florida is the best. On top of it all, those parks are within a few minutes of each other (except for Busch Gardens which is only like 75 miles away). They are also open year round.
Just the place to be! Especially in the winter haha
Thank you for putting Indiana in the top 10!
100% deserves to be!
No notes, nice job!
Lets go my state got in the top 10
I can't really argue with the rankings but Ohio and Pennsylvania really outrank the others in pure value. Florida and California vacations are so expensive!
Value wise, could not agree more
Completely agree with Florida being #1. I’m fortunate to live an hour and half from Dollywood; however, if I could choose any state to relocate to, it would be Florida. I have an annual pass to Universal and go back and forth between Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi being my #1 coaster.
The mix of quantity, quality, variety, and theme of Florida is just unmatched!
26:33 I recalled Canobie Coaster not rating this as his favorite intamin, looked it up and what do you know, exactly at number 10 as of 2023.
HA, love that! Yeah I’d say a good 90% of enthusiasts have it Top 10, at least half in their Top 5
@@coaster365 I’m European so I haven’t ridden it yet, but I’d say odds are pretty darn good that if I were to ride every coaster on the planet it’d be my number 1, seeing as Toutatis is currently my number 1
As someone born and raised in Ohio, absolutely agree. KI is good, but has honestly nothing to write home about other than it’s top 3 (also Banshee is hands down my lowest invert). CP is amazing, but thanks to its notoriety it’s always super busy and hard to navigate with less than a 2 day visit.
Pennsylvania yes. Yes yes yes. Hershey Park and KNOEBELS alone are reason enough to make this top 3, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg for the state. You don’t know how many times I’ve considered moving to the state for those 2 alone!
Let’s gooooo, so glad you agree!! Yeah having a wider variety of park options vs. just CP and KI, which are obviously fantastic, but not enough to put it over PA
Definitely. Pennsylvania is such a diverse coaster state, ranging from chains like CF and Parques to independent parks of various qualities and hidden gems. I try to road trip through it whenever possible-this year I have a SF pass so I'm hoping to fly into NJ to do American Dream and SFGAdv again, while possibly driving up to NYC for Coney Island or one or 2 of the closer Pennsylvania parks....
subbed, fun video! Agree with the list [CA resident]
Thank you SO so much!! ❤️
Florida is great, I just wish all of those elite coasters weren't spread out over so many expensive parks. If you asked a bunch of enthusiasts to rank the top five roller coasters in Florida, many of them would probably have five different parks on their list. I greatly desire to make a trip down there, but it looks like it would be extremely difficult (a.k.a too expensive) to get to all of those elite coasters in one trip.
Florida is certainly not cheap 😔. BGW and SWO can at least be done together with a season pass, but Disney and Universal would be very very difficult to do together for those out of state for sure
@@coaster365 Watch SeaWorld at bgts deals, they two two day ticket, pass, and fun card sales ALL THE TIME. Disney and universal would be the money eaters though, and the only recommendation I have is to book the trip in the off season. The cheapest tickets for those parks are in September, so book a trip then If you can, if there isn't hurrricanes 😄
Great list, florida is the best, and we just keep going strong w a rumored potential giga coming to Busch gardens tampa, 4 coaster when epic universe opens, and another family launch coaster opening in sea world with penguin trek. Not to mention rumors of rip ride rocket closing after the opening of epic universe, which is rumored to be replaced with fast and furious hollywood getting its own version in florida. Which i think will be a top 10 coaster in the world when it opens in hollywood. Florida got so much coming in the future.
2015-2030 for Florida will be maybe the golden age of any state for coasters EVER
Have to Disagree, but Ohio easily has the best Coaster Lineup in the country. Quality over Quanity. Followed by PA, FL, and CA.
Totally fair! Those 4 are super close
Great list... id swap Missouri and Virginia, Virginia is def for coasters
As I said in the video, the back and forth I did with Missouri, Virginia, and New Jersey….you have no idea 😮💨😂
24:22 that Taylor swift reference is awesome 😉
I debated the !!! for the graphic too 😅
unpopular opinion but holiday world was so underwhelming. voyage was rough and not as forceful as I expected. legend was cool but raven and thunderbird were also really average to me. every coaster had an hour wait and the entire day was hot and miserable. i've got other 4 woodies above the voyage.
Well HW can’t control the crowds/weather 😅, but I know you’re not the only one that’s underwhelmed by their rides!
@@coaster365 oh definitely, i just don't think that made my experience much better especially coming from kings island the day before where literally everything was a walk on all day
lets freaking goooo!
Not Bryan dissing wild adventures 😭
To be fair I’ve never been! 😅 Just going on the models that they have, vs. most parks, it’s not coaster types most would be rushing to ride haha
Wild Adventures is definitely a hidden gem. Many thoosies forget that it exists. They only see Georgia for having both FSA and SFOG
The top 10
I am ashamed Texas is not a top 3 state for coasters in this country 😭 not saying I disagree at all, it’s just so odd to me that our best coaster is a GCI people don’t talk about and the two oldest IBox RMCs and a raptor. Texas needs a giga or something dude. Put it at SFOT because they need something big and new ASAP.
But fr, amazing series. So entertaining and comprehensive from start to finish. Can’t wait to watch more of your content in the future!
Cant express my appreciation enough for that, thank you!! And yes SFOT could absolutely use a new, big coaster. They really haven’t gotten anything truly significant in over a decade!
But Texas has Fiesta down in San Antonio. It’s best SF park in the chain and the only one that feels like a CF park compared to the rest in which most of them are run down, SFA for example
Next project, do the same but with all 195 countries
LMAO, “alright here’s part #12, countries #81-#90…. 😂
I saw a lady smoking (not in a smoking area) in your Silver Doller City footage. Does Silver Doller City allow smoking every where in the park? Cause if so Missouri is ranked too high. Doesn't matter how good the coasters are if you aren't setting foot in the park.
(Mostly joking but still would love an answer to the question)
I just checked, and no, they only have designated areas. So either she was doing that in a place where she should’ve have, or it was one of those tobacco-less vapes? (I know absolutely zilch about smoking devices lol)
@@coaster365 Cool. Thanks.
I figured that would be the case.
Love this video idea. Makes me curious how the European countries would rank...
I would LOVE to do that one day once I’m a bit more traveled!
(spoiler) i was ready to tear you apart for florida #1 but yeah actually fair point lol
😁😁😁, I definitely tried my best to support the argument! Maybe I should’ve gone to law school 😝
Kinda Ka is no longer the worlds tallest roller coaster....... Falcon's Flight is officially the tallest SBNO because the track assembly is finished.
Until it’s actually finished/ridden, it’s semantics I know, but IMO it’s not the tallest just yet
HOO! HOO! HOO! HOOSIERS!
They’ve needed a W recently 😉
Strongly disagree on the top 4. From top to bottom, it should be: California, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania. Once you put Raptor in the “B” tier, I stopped listening to your opinion on Ohio. 🤣
In all seriousness, this was a great series.
I wouldn’t fault anyone for rearranging those Top 4, they’re all close and based on your preferences (clearly Raptor for you 😝), arguments can be made! Appreciate that so much though ❤️
Ohio is not better than Pennsylvania or Florida. I think his top 4 is perfect actually.
Ohio not better than florida, never been to Pennsylvania but florida better in every way.
In my opinion the top 4 is Pennsylvania Ohio Florida California. Very controversial but it’s my opinion
Yeah PA is better than OH ( as a local I’m biased )
Ohio
What about it?
Once we get Hollywood drift we taking that best coaster spot for IOA 😂
It might be canceled out by Stardust Racers though 👀. And even if not, Epic’s getting 4 coasters vs. Hollywood’s 1
