It helps to memorize the present tense conjugations of the verbs Ser and Estar, at least and also the personal pronouns. This is where it all started for me.

Good video. Just one suggestion: Since Spanish is the language we are learning, therefore it deserves more attention. So translation in English should be grayed out, not the other way around, don’t you agree?

Since I am a beginner and will have to live in Mexico, my best bet is to study and memorize short but full sentences that I can use to communicate with others for daily survival. These phrases are good though as I don't have to make them full sentences and they are mostly perfectly usable as is.

Hi, I want too lean Spanish and save the CZcams lesions to mp 3 player, But if you only say words in Spanish and show what they mean in English, I will not know this listening on mp3 player, You must say what the Spanish word u are going to say what it will mean in English.....

I really enjoy the videos but you are moving the flash cards way to fast and I am a slow reader I want to study the language if you know what I mean so that means I have to pause the video which takes up more time do more videos that are longer so people can write the phrases down but anyways I love the videos keep doing what you do

Hasta la vista?!!, jajajaja. "see you later" is "nos vemos"!. and "Excuse me", will be "Disculpa" not "Disculpame". Disculpame" is when you did something wrong to the person you are talking and you want that he/she forgives you.

However, don't forget that Spanish is spoken in different countries and I don't think it's nice to think that any other variation different from your way to say things is "wrong". It might be just different from the way you learned it. This is not JUST the way I speak. This is a list of the most used phrases in the Spanish speaking world.

Ehm... , hablare con un español muy básico para que me puedas entender, que yo sepa "Disculpa" es lo mismo que "discúlpame" o "discúlpeme" es como decir "tu" y "usted" el "tu" es mas amistoso y el "usted" es mas serio y formal.
sebastian cabezas but depends of the situation. I'm from Lima, Peru. When you say "disculpa" is for something you did wrong but is not a big deal. When you say, "disculpa", is more personal. Is like "I'm really sorry". At least that's for us. That's why I give that comment and then I thought that maybe to other countries is in the way saying in the vid. But in Lima at least, we use it that way . ( My family is one of the oldest families in Lima. So I now how the ppl speak. Now the kids are speaking with a lot of slang).

I memorized the 1st 3rd from the left, as the video moved to the right they phrases got newer and stranger to me. I got memorization to do. Here is what I use for e.g, for Basta! I visualize of a guy eating Pasta and I go tell him to Stop by pointing to what he is eating and say, Basta !

le3man Well... I'm a native spanish speaker and I must say that "hasta la vista" does mean a thing!! This sentence has no meaning if you analyze it word by word, but it is a set phrase.
Fun fact: in the spanish version, terminator says sayounara, which means (then again) goodbye in japanese.
