  • The increased focus on the implications of the war in Ukraine for security in Asia reveals the deep interconnectedness between the two theatres. Effective transatlantic cooperation and coordination with other like-minded partners in the region will play a key role in shaping the contours of future stability and prosperity across the Indo-Pacific. How can Europe and the United States further align their respective regional strategies to manage a range of security and economic challenges with regional partners?
CSIS and the Centre for Security, Diplomacy, and Strategy (CSDS) at the VUB co-organized the annual Transatlantic Dialogue on the Indo-Pacific to provide new perspectives on transatlantic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. This event will feature welcoming remarks from Victor Cha, CSIS Senior Vice President and Korea Chair, and Luis Simón, Director of CSDS. Panel discussions will follow featuring officials and experts who will address the Washington Summit and the Future of NATO's China and Indo-Pacific policy and Strategic Uncertainty and Political Change: Implications for Transatlantic Cooperation on the Indo-Pacific.
This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
