Some of the parents on this show disgust me to no end, and I usually walk away with an unflattering opinion of them. But, this mom seems to be a breath of fresh air. She clashes with her child seemingly because they have the same temperament. Overall, she seems to be a good mother who loves her child. Unlike some of these episodes, I don't see anything here that's irredeemable. My prayer is that this can be rectified through family counseling and perhaps some anger management, especially for the daughter.
She needs to obey her mother.

Parenting is about compromise. Idk how many times i’ve apologized to my kids..even when they were wrong, just for yelling , for not understanding that they’re still developing. We put these things into relationship with significant others but neglect emotional sacrifices with our children. They’re still human..real feelings, real emotions & opinions & I RESPECT my children.

So true, I'm 24 and recently i called my mom and jokingly asked"when was the last time you called mee?". She responded "yesterday.." and I said "no my brother called and you just spoke in the background". Then she said "okay, sorry" and just hung up the phone in my ears. I'm there dumbfounded because how rudee, right? But then she called me back immediately after saying "there i called you.." and we just laugheeed😂😂😂. Gotta love my mother.

What parents don't realize is that sitting your children down and having real, honest convos with them can help. Hugs, compliments, and saying positive things about them goes a long way. No one wants to constantly hear what they need to work on all the time. Also talk about the absent parent. Let them know your side of the story and also explain to them that an absent parent is missing out on the best things of them as children. Don't have them thinking that absent parent is loving or loves them cause it's not love.

Omg. This hurt me so bad. I understand both but I can certainly relate to Mom. It hurt so bad when our Mother Daughter relationships turn out this way. Those generational curses are tough & it usually boils down to pride.

When mom says “you can look at me” I broke down….the disconnect lies within the poor communication, I know this isn’t the same thing but when doctors look you in your eyes to speak to you, it’s to build and gain trust in their patient, no fear, when it’s hard to look someone in the eyes to talk to them, it’s either out of pain, resentment, or fear of being rejected. Great job mom, they both seem willing to make it work, this is not such a dark road for these two, I see the tears and the pain in both of their eyes, they’re tired….tired of not knowing how to do what they both want to do…love each other. I see great things for them because of Karamo, showing them where things are amiss, they are just alike which can sometimes be a problem but with love and determination to get to right, they will. ❤️

Her kids are gorgeous..Kamaya so sweet and pretty. Hes the cutest Teddy bear, hug him all day. and so open minded. They are a lovely family. They way Kamaya smiled when mummy hugged her..That was all she wanted. I think they gonna be good
I knew a guy who was childless and well off and never wanted kids when I asked him why he said he was a rough kid and his parents didn't like him much so he didn't wanna replicate himself and I admired that about him, more ppl should think that way, we got enough crappy ppl in the world
As a parent, you should never give up on your child - no matter the age, no matter how much they screw up! And the fact that she knows what its like to not be shown love by her own mother that should influence you to want to be there even more. I usually don’t see the potential in these families but I do for them and I hope they learn to communicate, love and understand each other better.
All children are different. It's best to just love some adult children from a distance. This young lady isn't a horrible person...😊
That hug was everything! The mother reminds me of myself. I'm not always the most affected person. I love my children so much, that when something is going on with them I stress out easy And shut down. My oldest is my main stresser right now. Its easy to tell someone all the bad things they do, but what about what makes them great. I gotta hug my oldest son and my other kids. Communicate with them, hear them out. Then tell them what I love about them. I intend to use these tools. Thank you

Monique and Kamayaaaa. Monique is my childhood friend I’ve know her since we were babies. Our parents grew up in the same neighborhood we grew up in the same neighborhood. And Monique is such an awesome mom I know we all go through things with our kids and I don’t know what has happened over the years. I mean she praised Kamaya with her being the only girl. Her kids are so so so smart Honor roll students all of them. I Pray to GOD I pray Pray Pray that God heals this family lord please.

Parents actions change when a child behavior changes. Its not that the parents doesn't love the child, its simply because both the parent and child doesn't understand each other.
