Mariah's dedication in her craft is unmatched. Who the hell would go back to the studio and rerecord new vocals just for a remix that won't even be released as a single? Only Mariah

This track was and is a pop culture moment all on its own.
Mariah has always been exceedingly good to her fans! Plus she is really musically aware. She moved with the times to embrace the house and hip-hop movements of the 90s and the RnB of the 00s.
I was in Venus nightclub the first time I heard David play this circa 92…words can’t express that moment. The sad part is I’ve seen David Morales so many times, even recently he never plays this. It’s one of the most iconic remixes of its time!! ❤

changed it to harmonic minor key 🎹, and then Re Sang It as if it was a brand new song
The Def Mix remixes are the work of David Morales, a house producer. At his request Mariah re-sang the entire song in a new key, tempo and arrangement. Plus she let him do effect sounds with samples of her voice, which shows the tremendous amount of trust David and Mariah had in each other. My favourite diva surprise track to drop in a house set, always well received by everyone in the room.
