Dear Derek, this song is in Japanese. And the meaning of the text is completely different than in the Chinese version. Moreover, Dimash met with the author and performer Koji Tamaki, who really liked Dimash's interpretation. I think that Dimash (as he usually does) carefully studied and felt this version of the text. Moreover, Dimash's body language, sensuality and incredibly increased professionalism made this song absolutely divine.

Earlier comments say it all regarding the difference between the Japanese language version and the Chinese language version. I prefer the Chinese version simply because it was sung in front of a Chinese audience.

This song has totally different lyrics to the Chinese version called Autumn song. The Japanese song is the original, the Chinese song just used the same music with different lyrics. Although Autumn Strong was amazing and perfect when Dimash sang in Mandarin for the first time, this performance of the original song is on a totally different level, much more than perfection!

Hi Dereck! I have two hidden gems from Björn and Benny(ABBA) that most people outside Sweden dont know about. They wrote a musical called "Kristina från Duvemåla" in the 90s about migrants from Sweden to America, and in this musical there are x2 AMAAAAZING songs sang by Helena Sjöholm and Peter Jöback one is about questioning God and the other is about Swedish migrants going to america to find gold.

Great reaction to Dimash thanks and you summarized the back ground story of this song very well. One thing, English translation you mentioned is incorrect one. This song's lyrics are very simple in Japanese standard so the translation you used has too many unrelated words in it.
On the singer in 2017 he sang this song, also known as Autumn Strong, in Mandarin. Here he sings it in its original Japanese. I believe this was recorded in one of the studios in his Dimashali Creative Center.

My friend in Japan was not only floored by his vocals, she was overwhelmed by his first time flawless Japanese. She was overcome with emotion.
My confusion, as an American, comes from the fact that this was the original and yet the Chinese took the same exact tune and changed the lyrics. Something totally unheard of here, for you would be fined lots of money for using someone else's work. I don't know...but I love this version better, altho Dimash can never sing a bad song. I do like your critique but you were sure ballsy to sing over Dimash's precious voice. smh lol
Songs like Tianmimi (traditional chinese) and other old asian hits are translated with all due credits to original. Here in latam some soanish songs are translated en portuguese and vice versa

I usually like your reactions but found the constant popping up of the subscriber & click bell animation (16 times in a 6 minute 14 second performance very annoying & distracting. Can’t you reduce those animations to 3-5 per reaction? Really is a little over the top. Ruined the reaction for me seeing it continually pop up just above the video
