Mayweather threw a lot of hooks back then, that's what happened in the olympics the judges didn't count his hooks. I think that made him better, he developed more skills. Loved Sanchez as a pro, but bad knockouts ended his career.
@@cjns5253 yeah but he couldn't handle it when he had a fighter at his own level Barrera,he could only be good with lower comperition no heart and no guts as far as I'm concerned compared to all the great fighters

The way Floyd is jabbing and moving with that jab is so beautiful to watch. The only thing that he isn't doing is turning his jab over but other than that, he is so smooth with it and he's compiling up points that is clear to see for the judges to count.
I don't like Floyd much because of his annoying personality but I have to say that Floyd is a very good boxer, it is almost impossible to fight him clean. I understand that as he gets older, he needs to fight more conservatively that's why people view him as boring now (including me)
would like to see footage of when Augie beat him in the Trials in Oakland. I would like to see if Floyd was just off that night or did Augie really put on a show there. He choked in Augusta. I was there for those fights. the night before this fight Brandon Mitchem beat Vargas, but the judges gave it to Fernando.
Mike S. you bring up my point Mayweather when he was younger was a fighter now he is a runner who chooses basic swarmers and beat them but never anyone with a different style then that i dont believe he would fare well in the least against someone who has a more tactical style
Y'all talking Floyd this n that n sure I give the man his credit all day but he lost this fight n he lost other fights.. Mayweather lost to Castillo once but castillo was robbed..lost to todorov outright..this man is not truly undefeated, even professionally..but he dam sure is a legend
12:10 the way Roger looking at His nephew made me cry, Roger really loved and cared for Floyd like he was his own son🥲🥲.

this what you get when take a baby and train him his whole life to be a boxer, a master before the age of 20.
dont forget also that he was trained by world champions
And lost to todorov
@@soypinoy5251 do the dude that beat him in the olympics has been homeless for the last 6 years
@@448DamonXX he still beat floyd
@@soypinoy5251 I mean…sure 😂
It was almost 20 years ago and he already was a young master boxer...
4:04 truly beautiful. Floyd really was a class above
floyd was gifted from birth with an excellence reach
you can see how his style evolved
Thx for the upload!
Just goes to show how hard Prince Naseem hits.
Well amature boxing gloves have more padding than professional boxing gloves and they also have headgear on.

What would you consider fighting him using ilegal moves?
he also broke his hand when he was early in the pros and it was so bad that he almost had to retire, so he just focused on defending
And a champion is born
damn i wanted to see the first match-up as well...anyone got a link?
roger mayweather amazing teacher...
Rip Roger Mayweather

This is when boxers are still good kids and boxing is a real science. Then the pro culture poisons the integrity of the craft.
Can you elaborate more?
Obviosuly perfected the talent that he had very well to be what he was late in his career.
Good post fam
Que grande Floyd!
the best
The Best. Ever,,, where is Augie Sanchez these days? Great combinations,,,amazing boxing skill..
After Augie got iced by Naseem Hamed, no one really heard of Sanchez again.
He's got a gym in Vegas, he trains ppl now.
He kept getting brutally knocked out so he was forced to retire
shame that he was robbed in the olympics.
Augie is pretty good actually underrated
I know
If I got a dolar everytime he said "you know" I'd be rich right now :D
Cool Mayweather
what's funny is people say Floyd runs all the time yet in this video he's standing toe to toe
They score you by punches landed in the amateur. He has no choice.
Yea young mayweather was some what entertaining now it's all about winning by score and running
Mike S. you bring up my point Mayweather when he was younger was a fighter now he is a runner who chooses basic swarmers and beat them but never anyone with a different style then that i dont believe he would fare well in the least against someone who has a more tactical style
Mike S. ass beating lol canelo was still standing you hardly call a decision win an ass beating . it was a reg mayweather win
+Kunta kintay
Canelo got schooled. Not even close in terms of skill difference.
Floyd "You Know" Mayweather
Floyd “helluva fighter” Mayweather
That is a good fight
No wonder floyds amateur team gave him the nickname pretty boy , the guy rarley gets hit , no cuts no nose bleed
He like..you know
You know
You know
No need toasked you know..
👌👍
So Augie was Floyd and Floyd was Canelo?
Floyd was a much better speaker back then compared to the shit he constantly spews out his mouth today!
Sanchez made Mayweather great 💪
🤡
at the least...u know!!
Julio sesar Chavez his beat up easy his dad big time
nice jabs from mayweather
So Fast 😶😶
He was robbed of the chance to fight for gold....but please remember he never faced the man that won gold that year.
Obviously*
i thought augie won this fight or did they have other bouts
Did it just say 125lbs?!
Don't forget how many years ago this was plus his age
Even the amateur is better back then
I would have him at 155
No you fucking wouldn't
I would try

Prince Naseem put Augie sanchez to coma in 3rd roun so imagine what Naz would have done to Gayweather

Who came here because Autie sanchez is coaching hasim rahman against jake Paul? Lol 😂
Naseem at his prime would have given Mayweather a good run for his money. no doubt Mayweather is the greatest of his weight class of all time.
Hamed would have laid mayweather out cold in his prime
@@stevens5541 let me guess Naseem is your boyfriend?
And this lousy referee keeps separating them every time Sanchez starts landing punches..a joke
I just want to knock the red guy, Floyd, out. He keeps backing up with those pesky jabs.
