I'd say that was one of the few cards in a long time that actually turned out to be as expected on all fights. These guys all had incredible techniques as well as power and all fighters definitely gave warrior a new meaning. Most enjoyable

rory macdonald and robbie lawler are absolute warriors, i like rory the most but that is just a matter of taste. it´s sad this fight ended with rory unable to continue due to his nose injury, i mean, his nose was broken from the 2 nd round and he still was putting on an amazing fight and hurting robbie while only breathing through his mouth. that 5 th round would have been incredible if rory´s nose bone wasn´t moving all over the place and he had to give up on the fight but anyway, they´re both warriors, rory is a future champ no doubt. best ufc fight ever

How does Dana get "all the money for the entire sport" if he only owns a very small minority share of the UFC?
He gets a cut from anyone who aspires to be a fighter, because every fighter wants to go to the UFC. Its like NHL,MLB,NFL. I know he only owns 9%, but he will still profit from EVERY world class mixed martial artist as they all go to the UFC. All I'm saying , is just pay the good fighters especially like Rory much more to face adversity and put themselves out there like that.

You didn't answer the question at all. Dana is a minority partner. He couldn't change the rates without consulting with the Fertita brothers, who actually OWN the majority of the company. Fighters get paid well if they know how to market themselves. Look at Nate Diaz. He went from 20k with a 20k win bonus to $500,000 flat. Unfortunately, not many do know how to market themselves.

@@charlieeleftheriadis9646 Insurance that only covers death or when the fighter is in a vegetative state, those events rarely happens. They don't have coverage for health care or in most cases fighter care, because UFC anticipates physical damages to the body, medical expenses would be expensive.
The ufc is very entertaining but almost all of those fighters will probably suffer some kind of mental health issue in the future. Imo it's not worth it. Just like an nhl enforcer the rewards are nice but it's not worth destroying you're brain. Just look at Muhammad Ali. He's suffering from all sorts of problems and can barley string a sentence together...
95 percent of mma legends speak properly without any problem. Alistair overeem has about 56 fights in mma and more in K-1 yet he talks just fine. fight like this are a rarity.
more brain trauma in boxing on top of it. often when someones gets dropped bad it ends in a tko. in boxing if they can get up, they go back to the fight. sometimes 4-5 times during the duration of a fight. grappling and Brazilian jiu jitsu also somewhat decreases the overall punishment you take depending on the position and situation. headkicks are a motherfucker though hahahahah
