Thank you for the quality radio chatter. Space games really need a quality sound designs and so far you guys nailed it.
You’re welcome kiddo.
You’d think in the far future we’d figure out a way to not have garbled mess on comms 😂
if he didn't recently employ some new personnel, Falling Frontier is made by a one man studio.
@@THELANKANCOMRADE Radio is Radio . its a type of signal so unless we find a new method to send signals it will remain the same as it was for past century . Quality is only defined by quality of the signal not the mics or whatever. distance and disturbances will harm the signal quality a lot and oh boy you need to see how Jupiter and Saturn disturb signals they are literally like jammers once a satellite enter their electromagnetic fields the quality drop by a LOT it even feels like entering a radioactive zone. Many satellites got their electronics fried and were lost in those zones.
You're telling me A.I. can deepfake your voice TODAY, but somehow in the far future it can't even do easier things? Yeah, makes a lot of sense...
Homeword and The Expanse had a baby and it's beautiful!
Seriously? HW would drown that child of theirs.... even with all the problems it still has its supperior to anything this game here showed. The worst of the stuff HW3 butches will be modded out of it (as it comes with full mod support right from the get go) soooo MAYBE 5k people will chose this here game shown over HW3, let alone SOASE2
@@christianresel8051or they can get both games. Simple.
@@christianresel8051 You know people can like multiple games right?
@@christianresel8051It may shock you but you can play both.
@@christianresel8051wow you're weird as hell
The most impressive part of this trailer is that the devs got radio chatter and transmission correct! Its shows they actually did their research!!
Dev served in NAVY - he knows how military radio chatter works)
@@7Jericho7 lol no, he was consulted by person or persons who were ex-Navy
@johnwest5957 everything you said was correct. The only part you missed is that Mazer, (lead dev of NEBULOUS: Fleet Command, the consultant youre referring to) is still active duty in the US navy
@@johnwest5957”im a walking queef” that’s pretty much what you just said
crazy they interviewed people from the year 2545 .. other studios just don't get it
The FTL jump looks really nice.
Is that... red shifted for leaving, blue shifted for arriving?
@@davidlloyd2518 seems to be.
yesssssss
Now you're thinking.
With Portals.
The Expanse vibe game with a little bit of FTL spice.
Wasn't expecting to see a planet get glassed from orbit
Fckng dont spoil m8
@@kettelbeDid you go into comments of a video, before you finished the video? This is your own fault lol.
@@Fractured676 what a clown >D
Is the only way to be sure
Kharak is burning…
This looks like a proper attempt at homeworld type theme. The radio chatter etc. very nice
Radio chatter sounds like crap even after we figure out faster than light travel? A.I. TODAY can deepfake your voice. Radio static is like gas engine sounds from an electric car.
@@dangerfly you do understand how radio works? AI deepfakes aren't in any way related to radio which is just how physics work lmao
@@dangerfly By the time this game takes place in, I'm sure we wouldn't even be using radio technology, its too slow, Id assume it would be some other medium, and then, who know what that would sound like.
@@darrylbrownstone2553 it's a obvious game design choice. It's give the game great atmosphere. Way more important imo.
@@dangerflyit's for the mood. yikes. how boring would it be if it sounded like they were siting next to you in the room?
20 years since Nexus released with no sequel...can't wait for this one
This is really shaping up to be the spiritual successor to Nexus and then some. I've wanted a game like this for so long.
It's been 20 years already? Damn, time flies. Also crazy that no one ever made a game like nexus in such a long time
Maaaaan, same.
Nexus was awesome
omg, i'm so glad that there're still someone out there appreciate Nexus for a masterpiece that it is
the fact this game is being made by ONE GUY is insane and what's even more crazy is that he doesn't plan to release this until 2025 and this is what the game looks like NOW a whole year before launch, hella respect, definitely pulling out the wallet for this one
It was supposed to come out in 2023. Don’t hold your breath for this one.
@@PB-gk1vh i'd rather wait for a delay of 2 years for a well polished game as stealth said rather than get a rushed piece of hot garbage
one dude? Okay, now I'm no longer holding my breath.
Its not one guy its a whole studio. Stop spreading misinfo
@@Thvl3 no the studio is run by one gun who is the only employee lol
Interesting how all these frigates are named for towns in the British isles - particularly like the Faslane class being a stealth ship. Very apposite!
Well, the dev is Australian and it's meant to evoke the wet navy feel, IN SPACE.
Watching those little ships move the containers around is so cute.
12:50 Everything's gone...
Iapetus is burning.
This continues to look amazing. Love the music, the voice-work (including the chatter in the background), etc. Very atmospheric!
_Impeccable_ art direction, supported by thoughtful, subtle sound design and UI design. The kind of thorough, grounded approach to space and spaceships that makes spaceships in many other games - with budgets orders of magnitude above this one - look like overgrown toys. The future of real time strategy is bright with games like these on the horizon!
(EDIT Also, wonderful music)
yes!!!
The music... it's incredible.
The Exspans vibes
but could be more vibing.
Sasa Ke
Really big expanse vibes
If only it were the MCRN instead of the MRN.
... no it's _NEXUS: THE JUPITER INCIDENT_ vibes.
I've been looking forward to this game for awhile. It's a solo dev too iirc so it's ok if they take their time. Looks amazing so far!
solo coding dev. todd is the main dev from the start but its a 2 person project now as he hired an artist who is a 3d modeler and concept artist who goes by varzov. all these ships besides the sukula are all new and made by varzov. either way this game has shown revision after revision and doesn't wish to gouge money out from early access. the main dev is instant on a stellar game from day 1
:EDIT:
But forgot to mention it really feels like a 3 man project. scott buckley a renowned sound composer is developing the OST for the game so really it feels like a 3 man team.
@@iAmDiBBz Lets also not forget this is not only a "solo dev" but also their first ever game project with no industry experience which makes it even more impressive.
Don’t hold your breath. This game is 2+ years from release, at best.
@@PB-gk1vh it's on track for '25 so barely a year away
@@Hellfire8EA is slated for '25 and Act 1 of the Narrative Campaign. Full V1.0 is definitely at least 2 years after that depending on how hard it is for him to make Acts 2 and 3 coupled with Skirmish Mode and the Scenario Editor.
The continuity of these trailers is awesome.
First, Caligula and Richmond go after 2 MRN ships. This starts with MRN command responding sending 2 additional units to finish the Caligula.
Voice radio chatter that fade in and out depending on zoom level is amazing. When the York launches freshly made from planetside shipyard to meet up with the mining ship was a great surprise. The atmosphere and depth when most games would easily overlook simply two units in a meetup is simply stunning.
Waiting until end of 2025 is going to be something...
The visuals, models, sound design and soundtrack are beautifully executed. Can’t wait to play this!
Soundtrack is great
Can't go wrong with Scott Buckley
Anybody got the track ID?
08:33 - 09:07 warp drive activation and space wormhole in and out sequences are beautiful like Babylon 5 series.👍🏻
The hype train is fueled up
Meh. This game is billion years in development and still no date. Not even a hint
@@hgyuuuuhj098 It's been like, 5 years in development by a *SOLO* developer using his own money for the longest time. He only recently got a publisher so now has more resources to use in making the game he wants to release. He was working 80-90hr weeks and had to slow down to 'only' 40hr work weeks due to health issues in his family. The EA is going to be in 2025 and he's got someone to focus entirely on the models of the game now, but it's still mostly just one dude.
@@5peciesunkn0wn the creator is still can not let go as he refuses to expand.
@@oriwan3786 What?
the music for this game was made by Scott Buckley! 😮
love the look and feel of whats shown but at 12.02 the ship collision looks odd the just stop next to each other lol
You can see them collide and slightly bounce off each other very slightly
The music blew me away. Great work guys, keep it up, looking forward to the final product 👏
Literally the game I've always dreamt about playing. Its beautiful.
You should check out the homeworld series if you haven't
The audio/visual experience is awesome!
That sound track is fantastic, really fitting too :)
This has been one of my most anticipated games for awhile. And it just keeps getting better!
This has been on my steam wish list for a while now😢 I'm so ready.
Man this looks really nice. The visual and audio design all has an ethereal ASMR quality to it.
Audio design is looking phenomenal, UI seems uncluttered, snappy and sound response is great.
Soundtrack is right up my alley, can't wait to get my grubby hands on this!
Keep it up, no rush!
love the radio chatter, brings so much immersion
Absolutely loving the ship designs!!
You know what, this trailer put this game on my radar. I'll be checking it out.
Same
Years away from release so don’t get excited. Solid trailers though.
@@PB-gk1vh with actual gameplay
so much hype, so long to go...
That opening cinematic was remarkably immersive and well done. Kudos to whoever put that together.
This whole thing looks surprisingly interesting. Hadn't heard of it before.
Sound design is awesome here. The slow pace reminds me of nexus jupiter incident but the gameplay feels fresh
That tear through space effect looks awesome!
Seems like a realy nice game. Looking forward to.
Also, 4:14 "IMRPOVED ENGINES" gave me a giggle
why
Wow. Absolutely beautiful.
Looks beautiful. Love the radio chatter. So much atmosphere
This feels more like homeworld than homeworld 3. Absolutely superb!
The only downside is it's not full 3d space movement, but it's also a *much* larger scale than any homeworld game in terms of map size, so he's settled on a 2d plane to avoid the whole '99% of space is empty' problem. That and 3d navigation AI is haaaaard.
This looks, sounds, and feels nothing like homeworld my guy....like what? Game in space with epic music and tactical options = homeworld now? Where's the full 3D movement? This is more like Empire at War/battlefleet gothic, with multiple maps cohesively working as 1 large map
@@Omgazombie2k It's all one map. Just logarithmic view
The future is Space, and Space is Balenciaga
Aren't they the pedophile clothing brand?

The audio is superb
As a huge sci fi fan 🥹 this game looks beautiful. Graphics and physics are amazing 🙈 can’t wait for that
Great job team 😉
11:28 Treasure Planet Battle At Procyon
vibes love it.
This looks really incredible. How does such a small studio make something that looks so cool. Really excited to see more.
3 people studio, 1 coding dev, 1 3D artist and the music
This OST with the fast subtle arps is fantastic! Wow. Very Mirrors Edge meets Mass Effect.
This is bloody impressive. Can’t wait to play it.
The deep bass on this is going to be fantastic while playing.
Music, voiceovers, sound effects, graphics and the slow pace...love it
Loving the context and detail of the radio chatter in this, it's also a very pretty game. The combat manoevring looks a little janky at present though it's also nice to see enemy ships not just explode like fireworks
the gunfiresounds seems very similar to the gunfiresounds of BSG Deadlock!?
Overall very nice graphics! Cant wait to get the game! :)
It has the expanse theme even the ships' names remind me of that show.
I'm looking forward to finally being able to play this game as soon as it's released
Looks awesome❤ i fell the expanse vibes 🎉 can t wait to go deep into game ! Keep it coming my body is ready
Sounds so satisfying. love the attention to detail
This looks absolutely great. Definitely going to pick this up.
The ships have VLS? alright I'm sold
This game has a vibe to it that I'm so into. Very excited to try it out.
Immersion is everything, the best games make you feel the moments. Real radio chatter and an evoking sound track do more for these games than graphics alone ever could ❤ that being said, the graphics also look incredible 👏👏👏
Looks incredible! Can't wait!
Aw was hoping to see space ramming mechanics
Gotta say, what a vibe! The music and sound design were right on spot, and so is the art direction! Gameplay seems very promising as well, can't wait!
Woooooow, I've been waiting for a game like this, beyond excited to try this out
12:50 EXTEMINATUS!!!!!!

I'm getting very strong "The Expanse vibes". Love it!
This is so epic, never this excited about a game in a long long time
I'm so happy this game is still alive
This game looks absolutely stunning, can’t wait for it!
This looks and "feels" amazing. The atmosphere alone makes me want to give it a try.
This game is my dream!!!! Can’t wait for it to launch into EA!!
This just looks right up my alley.
the soundtrack is just amazing
My guy just called Exterminatus on that planet.
The music is amazing
Time to go rewatch the Expanse again...
Music, animation, physics, sounddesign. voice acting -
This looks excellent! Can not wait for this!
This looks interesting! Great audio too!
the ending scene when nuking the planet was incredible with the lowered tone of the music, also the fact that you can seamlessly go from space contact to nuking a planet is equally impressive
There's so many interesting new space games in the works right now. I've been waiting 20 years for stuff like this ever since Homeworld 2 and Nexus: Jupiter Incident.
Now we get Homeworld 3 and Falling Frontier really appears to be cementing Hooded Horse as _the_ go-to publisher for believable and atmospheric space RTS these days. They really seem to have found their niche with these games.
This is really similar to how The Expanse felt! Excited to play this!
This looks amazing! Would love to see more gameplay, but I'll buy for the immersion regardless.
Finally a space strategy game that I've wanted for years. Ever since the first season of the Expanse I've been waiting for something this well simulated.
looks amazing. want it now!!!!!
this really needs vr or 3d. Adds so much to the experience in these kinds of games.
The music is so atmospheric. Love 10:20 onwards
Its like The Expanse meets Battlefleet Gothic. Very excited for this!
Graphics look nice, ship designs look nice, customization options look nice, sound...sounds nice. Overall verdict: very nice! Wishlisted!
Interesting.. still holding out for Homeworld 3, glad to see a little life in the RTS space.
Take my money! This is beautiful! The UI is so clean!
Hyped for Release❤
This is the most beautiful and incredible RTS my eyes have ever witnessed. Can't wait for full release. Take your time.
For some reason this reminds me of Homeworld 2's cinematics
The art direction of this game is flawless.
