It was a pleasure to be back on the show! And, yes, I realized (after this game) that Djeru and Hazoret doesn't actually put the legendary creature into play during combat! The Djeru and Hazoret might have died, if Brian wanted to sacrifice several creatures.

I seriously love the fact that they give you an authentic experience. The dogs just show up, you hear the real game convos weather related to mtg or not. Really sets them apart from everyone else. Love it

I love Brian and Olivia's relationship dynamic. They so clearly just solemnly enjoy one another's company and find all the little things to laugh about with one another or at each other. It's just mwah* chef's kiss, awesome to see.
24:50 Djeru and Hazoret actually exile the card and it can be cast for free until end of turn. Kind of a nitpicky thing but TECHNICALLY couldn't have cast it till second main
Wouldn't have prevented combat damage for that combat, may have made a difference!
Also, no spell can be cast by opponent during combat with Marisi and Kibler casted Gandalf during combat against Olivia. But I understand, so much cards with many effects on his side haha
Great episode! If I’ve never mentioned it before, I actually really love the intro, it feels so homely. The casual banter and witty nature is second to none. It’s even better held up by having a HOF player with charisma to make sure the game is played well and as fair as one could expect amongst friends.

I enjoyed watching DJ's reactions to all Chris's antics 😂 The token bit got me pretty good in the edit as well.
I just have to say: you are a REALLY good editor. The way you cut this together is just masterful-you kept all the setup/payoff bits in the edit, and you kept things moving at a good clip the whole time. The editing is basically so unobtrusive as to be invisible, and that is truly impressive. The only exception: I SAW that burst of sparkles on Elspeth!

DJ's playing style is so funny. He immediately becomes this "master manipulator" where you can totally tell from his tone and mannerisms that he's trying to trick you, and yet you can't argue with the points.
When I heard him say she is tearing me apart when Lisa was on top was probably one of my favorite moments in any video I have seen! The Room!

I made my girlfriend a Cadira, Caller of the Small deck to introduce her to Magic. She loves just having an animal sanctuary with all the different animal tokens haha. And yes, I put the Animal Sanctuary land in there.
DJ's deck was really cool, using Braids to give your opponents big creatures and then copying them is the nicest version of Braids I've seen.
Nice to know that I'm not the only dog owner that has to deal with "you are no longer doing what you were doing, you will pay attention to me now" haha

I gotta say, that Samwise deck was something I was not expecting but also looking for for a long time.
I love watching this, it's my first one, and I love the banter and the random talking. It really feels like watching a game, whereas game knights has so many graphics now and so many cuttings to their inner thoughts. Love both, just liking this fresh new angle. Also love MTG Muddstah but they're so fast, so if I'm in more of a rush I can watch them

I had the child of Alara deck with only charms, pump spells and graveyard recursion, the charms are usually 3 spells in one and can usually answer any problem, the pumps can make the child a one shot kill, as the child is the only creature in the deck you can wipe as much as you like and revive as much as you like.
