Nobody gets as much hp from a engine then Chrysler,their 1964 era 426 HEMI is still used today by GM,Ford,Toyota and Euro bodies cars and drag boats. The engine gets over 10,000 hp and it is reliable and proven to be better then any other engine,nothing beats a MOPAR ! A Euro engine would self destruct at 1/4 of the hp and torque of those engines. As the V10 its done to be reliable my 06 has 265,000 miles and runs strong just oil changes and nothing else. The new V10 is 640 hp btw
This viper engine and the z06 engine dont make as much power as u would think for the size of it bc of it being limited.. the 8.3L v10 engine has cast iron pistons for one and even though the rev limiter is at 6000ish the cast pistons it has are built to withstand 5500 rpm anytbing above that is putting too much stress on them. Put racing quality parts in that engine and it'll easily be doing way more then 500 hp at the crank
I just found out that all "quad cab" viper trucks are automatic only... I want one but I guess I'll have to get a regular cab to get a 6 spd manual trans (because chrysler auto transmissions are total trash).

Maybe look up hide away plate online. They once had people that would make stuff like James Bond Plates. It was popular in the 80's/
This engine is not done to full potential,it has tough government restrictions on it exhaust,intake,exhaust manifolds ect Tougher emissions rules in U.S/Canada then Europe It has 510 h.p and will last 300,000 miles without a rebuild,not like European cars that are picky and dont last ,these do last with little or next to no maint I changed my exhaust,added headers and now its 592 horsepower dyno'd at the flywheel,compared to the 510 advertised Mopar get 10,000 + hp from their HEMI

Rams get bad gas milage in general . The stock comes with 355 gear in the rear . These have 456s. If u drop the gears to 410s or 390s it will hit 20mpg on the hwy for sure. Average 15/17

Yep a 6speed auto with the 456 rear would be perfect. But for that 4 speed they should have stuck with 410s that would put the truck 18-20 on the hwy.
