Video 8mm - Steam Ranger 520. Mt. Barker - Victor Harbor. Australien 1998

Willkommen zum letzten Australien- Video aus 1998. Mit einem Dampfsonderzug bespannt mit einer Dampflok (Steam Ranger 520, Höchstgeschwindigkeit 113 km/h - 70 Meilen, 2'D2'h2, Sir Malcolm Barclay-Harvey, Baujahr 1943,) ging die Fahrt auf Breitspurgleisen (1600mm) von Mt. Barker nach Victor Harbor. Zwischendurch gab es einen kurzen Aufenthalt beim Depot von Goolwa, wo unser Zug mit Hilfe eines Triebwagens der Klasse 75 um einen Wagen verstärkt wurde. In Victor Harbor gibt es eine Pfredestraßenbahn (ebenfalls 1600mm Spurweite) nach Granite Island, die ich bei der Abfahrt auf Video festhalten konnte. Höhepunkt des Tages war die Dampflok auf der Drehscheibe. Leider ist der Steamranger zur Zeit nicht betriebsfähig.

Welcome to my last video from Australia 1998. With the Steam Ranger 520 (Speed 113km/h - 70 miles, 4-8-4, Sir Malcolm Barclay-Harvey, entered service 1943) on broad gauge we wer travelling from Mt. Barker to Victor Harbor. In Goolwa at the Steam Ranger depot we got one more car for our train, shunting by a railcar class 75. In Victor Harbor we have seen th Victor Harbor Horse Drawn Tram at departure to Granite Island. Amazing has been Staem Ranger on the Turntable. I hope, Steam Ranger will come back.
