I actually really like that band wasn't overpowering their vocals. We get to listen to the original, strong version anytime, so to hear something different is a gift! Plus their vocals come through so much more clearly and it's incredible.
I hear the opposite. I can't stand the sound mixing on this and I always praise the mixing in their other work.
I guess that the reason they dont play it strong like in the MV. So DC can show of their vocal capabilities. The originals although sound much better.
I like the band arrangement here, but it could've been more edited to fit their vocals sometimes (gahyeon part for example)

dreamcatcher is crazy because there’s not a SINGLE weak link the entire group. they are all on the same exact playing field vocally and visually
well, they're not on the "exact" same level - but the great thing about them is that they can compliment each other when they perform as a group. The switching between members when singing is really smart. If you notice, most of the "heavy weight" singing is left to the vocalists (Siyeon, Yoohyeon, Jiu and sometimes Sua) and whenever one of the other members sings the main 3 vocalists follow or "come in" to balance the others out. Their dances also focus on the member that is singing, which adds to the whole balance of things. It's incredible. No one stands out as the bad singer, because no one is in this group. And then the whole group sounds great which means the performance is fantastic because the "stronger" members (more experience most likely adds to them being stronger/better singers) fill in the blanks and add in a certain poewr. I wish more people paid attention to this group. This is so difficult to do, and from what I have seen of Kpop no other group does this. They just go from one member to the next, but not dreamcatcher.
The dislikers must be those people who never seen an incridible live singing as this one before was done by their favs..

Its because u were already used to listen to common kpop music which was almost always amplified (search loudness war) so u will feel off when hearing normal live set because more gaps between the amplitudes
@@miran592 I mean yeah but the cords and the instrumentals are still there, in here if I'm not mistaken the guitar is used as more of an acoustic sound rather than an electrical witch is use in metal/hard rock, in their past DC used live bands and did this according to the song more than theninstrument it self. Is pretty cool hearing a different version but Odd Eye is a powerful song plus the girls vocals and dancing doesn't match the sound of the band and end up being a bit awkward.

Definitely the most stable group in Kpop. Their choreographies are really difficult, and they still sing live.
sadly this channel autotunes vocals on almost every one of their videos :/ on actual live videos though, yes these girls are incredibly talented vocally

@@TaehunSeong.it's because lots of us expected the band to go hard on the rock since they're a pop-rock group. this sounded more accoustic rather than rock. while it does sound nice, some of us are disappointed it doesn't fit with the vibe dreamcatcher is supposed to have.
@@TaehunSeong. if it's perfect for you than it good but not for me cuz the guitar tone is to light for a dark song like odd eye and the instrument tone doesn't match to the energy, the vibe of the song and imagine dancing a hard intense choreography with that lyrics but backup by light tone instruments....but that doesn't mean that this band is bad because their light tone instruments is perfectly working and connect with wind blows vibe and i freaking love it, but not this one...and if you want to say if the instruments sounds goes heavy and you can't hear their vocals, well the engineering sound team can do better at balancing the vocals and the instruments.... anyway don't take offense this is just my opinion and preference 😁

Hmm, I think its because the piano is super loud in the mix, even louder than the predominant electric guitar riff thats played in the chorus. The notes of the riff that should be in the beginning of the chorus are played louder on the piano compared to the guitar. In addition, the third and fourth beat of the bar before the chorus should have two tom flam hit that are on the original instrumental but are omitted from this band version. Kinda disappointed in that, but live vocals sound extremely good!
Yeah the vocals is good, the band is not suitable for DREAMCATCHER music style, the musicians probably only played pop songs before cuz their tone simply doesn't match the energy and the lyrics of the song
Yeah the mixing wasn't ideal. The instrumentals were brought forward while the vocals were recessed. Hopefully the live band from 7Spirits return for their next concert.
@@nocturnalsepian7789 Interesting opinion. The ratio of sound of the different instrumentals was different to me. Thats what I did not like, as some parts of this live band version was different from the original. The omission of those parts did not make the song sound good.
@@xAntoniusx I could hear the vocals quite clearly so I don't mind. Its only in the chorus which I didnt like the band and how they didnt follow the original. As I went in for a second listen I wished the staccato notes were sharper during Dami's rap part.

In Korea. But for their recent comeback they manage to hit number on Genie. A Korean platform. They slowly rising but surely will get their recognition. I’m relieved that they have at least international support. Doing very well and the album sales has been consistently good. Need more korean fans only

I actually really like that the band decided to go with more of a groove vibe with the song, instead of full on intensity like I guess we would expect. It still goes hard but in a different way and it brings out a lot of hidden gems in odd eye's instrumental, once again showing another amazing side of Dreamcatchers versatility and range.
The band is way too soft. It didn't suit the song at all.

I am a new InSomnia. They caught my attention when I bumped into a relay dance video for Scream. That is my personal favorite, but I've been listening to all of their songs for almost a week now. My bias is SuA and I am still in awe because of her singing and dancing skills. Her fun personality also makes me fall for her more.

Hondong and Gahyeon's vocals on this are just perfect. Absolutely perfect, and Dami's rap *chef's kiss*. Everyone looked and did so beautifully.

Gahyeon is surprisingly good. I knew her potential when she switch part with Yoohyeon and sang You and I chorus. She's so good and please let her sing more in the next comeback. She's top 5 best vocalist in dreamcatcher after Siyeon, Yoohyeon, Sua and Jiu

handong is so underestimated that it hurts, her vocal is so unique and amazing, she has the most unique voice on the dreamcatcher. her parts in this version were incredible, please remember her remember how amazing she is.
She has a more mature tone than the other girls and I still think it's very much underutalized. I'm hoping she will do some covers - her voice is similar to Dua Lipa.
i feel the same way about gahyeon, her raps are great but i really think people don't talk enough about her vocals! her voice is so incredibly unique pretty to me and i love the way she sings

Yeah the band need a little more kick and energy, the band sounds is more like a pop band trying to do rock things.
Probably they aren't rock players so this is their play style
