“The Paul Street Boys” by Ferenc Molnár is a favorite of mine. The reason Iʼm bringing it up is because Iʼm nearly convinced most people donʼt know about it.
i LOVE that you’re pushing book content, it’s been a crazy reading period for me too and i just love it! also received multiple books for christmas 😅 you should definitely pick up ‘Conversations on Love’ since you’ve enjoyed Alderton’s book, and please get into Douglas Stuart’s heartfelt novels!!! ps. remarkably bright creatures made me cry 😭 you’ll enjoy it so much towards the end when things start falling into place ❤
Aww I’m glad you’re enjoying it! Adding those to my tbr thank you! Aw I’m preparing myself for tears with remarkably bright creatures. I’m only a 3rd of the way through but loving it so far! ☺️💕
Love these book videos. Thank you for the recommendations & tingles! Very relaxing as always! I read Where The Crawdad’s Sing that u recommend in a previous video & loved it! Thank you ❤
I watched this video on Friday, got the dolly Alderton book that night and finished it on Sunday. As a 35 year old sis male I probably wasn’t the intended audience but that book was amazing ❤ thanks for the recommendation. I also laughed and cried a lot!
Ive always been a classic literature reader. I need some more modern recommendations to broaden my horizons. If you haven't read The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte you should. Its incredible that such a young and isolated woman in the mid 19th century wrote that book.
I wrote a comment last night but fell asleep before I could post it 😅 I loved Babel, and have just finished Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, which I enjoyed too. Some recommendations I read last year that you might like are: 1) In Memoriam by Alice Winn - tw: graphic WW1 trench warfare and injuries, but it’s gripping and bittersweet. I just wanted to keep reading. 2) Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. Funny, quirky and poignant. 3) Anthony Horowitz’s Hawthorne novels. Compelling mysteries which are quite meta because Horowitz writes himself into them as the detective’s sidekick.
I started watching and in my head knew what I was going to comment to recommend you read next… but you’re reading it!! Remarkably bright creatures was my last read of 2023… it’s wonderfully written and so heart warming ❤
The way you speak is so cute and your eyes are soooo pretty ... I know this is supposed to be about books but god i kept saying omg why is she so cute in this video 😭❤️ as for books i think i would recommend circe if you're into greek mythology
I loved this, I hope you are getting more rest and get well soon. I have A Little Life & Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorow to read. I'm currently reading My grandmother sends her regards and apologies by Fredrick Backman 🥰
Feel free to share some of your fav books and recommendations 🥰 📚
