Fourteen years of vacation, one year of work.
I remember 9 years ago when I finished my SATs my dad picked me up from school and we went to BJ's. I saw this game on the Shelf, I was thinking "What the hell is Duke Nukem? He looks like Serious Sam." I bought the game when I finished school that year. I had so much fun with this, hard to believe it's already been 9 years...
You really didn't know what Duke Nukem was? Duke 3d was one of the best shooters in 90's. I thought every American knows Duke Nukem.
@@homoxymoronomatura I was born in 1993 and grew up on Star Wars games. When I was 10 I got into more hardcore games like AVP then Doom later when I was 12.
Doom Eternal Creators should make an actual continuation to duke nukem 3D like they did with doom eternal and have doom slayer and duke be in a crossover.
Making a new duke yes. Crossover no.
Unfortunately duke nukem is owned by gearbox and not Bethesda or id software
doom2016/eternal are horrible games filled with modern gaming tropes

@@1StIwY1 Nobody's disputing that it was disappointing but when you finally decide to stop being salty and play the game for what it is, it's really not that bad. Still fun in some ways, definitely not as broken and raw as games like Blood II: The Chosen or Turning Point: Fall of Liberty.

The writing would've been better if Duke had been a relic of the early 90s, rather than just making references to remind people that it was supposed to be a comedy game. And the scene with the kidnapped girls and the Milton Twins getting impregnated was not exactly in the Duke Nukem tone. And him telling them, "Well, I guess you're fucked"?! Jesus Christ, no wonder so many people hated this game...
The same thing happend in 3d its nothing new.

Shame that this game is nowhere near to it's predecesor... It wasn't too horrible but it seems like it was not complete and it seems there are some lame features and game mechanics included at the same time and those 2 weapons at the time really annoyed me and left me in the 'wtf' state, I guess designers wanted to make it more balanced and more challenging. Those things basically ruined the game. I liked the enemies, the assault troopers and pigcops are much tougher than in 3D, kinda wished to see protector drones though they were my probably 3rd favorite enemy in 3d series before pigcops and assault commanders.
