BertasU true resonance comes from good technique and not forcing/pushing your voice so if she works on her mix and tries to improve her technique from supporting her notes she will achieve resonance.

She lacks consistency (she has some problems with tension) and resonance but still her ability to support is above average. I'm not sure about those D5's and I guess it's safe to say that she is able to support C#5's which is not bad at all.
she became more and more confident, dared to go higher and consequently improved a lot. i hope we see more of that development in LM5 ! especially for her low notes, she was so good in nobody like you

I'm a such a Little Mix fan from 2013 back. I think is the best girl band from now so far. Perrie is my favorite from the group, but no necessary for her voice, I think all the girls have a lot of potential. For me there's no "untalented" girl in this group. When I think of Little Mix I think at the group as a awesome band. I love Perrie, but most people think that only her can sing and this is not true at all. Thank you for the video. I have been a Mixer for quite a long time now, and I love all the girls with all my heart. Even though Jade is my favourite member, I know very well that she is not the best vocalist of the group. This is something that Jade stans do very often, and it is very toxic - put down other girls (especially Perrie) in order to make Jade appear better.
She is the most consistent one in the group, that is for sure. And she, out of all the girls, has done the best in terms of improvement if overall natural musical ability is taken into consideration. Her falsetto has gotten much more stable, her range has expanded a great deal througout the years, as well as her stamina and support. She is not a great belter, and she will never be, because her voice is not suited for that. When she belts, her technique does not help much, as there is a lot of tension and raised larynx involved. This is the worst aspect of her voice, but that does not mean that she is not a great vocalist. She is very agile, and there is a lot of musicality expressed through her voice. She also experiments the most out of the girls, and her creativity is something that she should be applauded for.
Perrie is just a naturally great vocalist, without too much effort put in, and nobody can deny that. Even though her technique may not be the best at times, she still remains to be the best in the group, and I am very sorry if someone is butthurt about this. Her range is amazing (and is still expanding), and her resonance is unparralel. The technique is sometimes detrimental, and she therefore cannot show her full potential. I believe that she could be even better than she is. Her head voice is supported, which is a veeeery rare thing to see in pop music nowadays, and she does not even use it that much. So many things she could do with her talent, but she still plays it safe sometimes. She could be the greatest vocalist of her generation - just saying.
I love Jesy and Leigh Anne, and I hate how people always put them last - and that is just what I did as well.
Both of them could have been the second best vocalist in the group, but they are not, and that is due to different reasons. Jesy because of her overall singing style, and Leigh-Anne because of the lack of confidence.
Jesy can actually project very well (maybe even better than Jade and Leigh-Anne), but as she wants to keep her silky tone, she chooses not to do this. You can hear that at the rare occasions when she belts. Her vibrato was a big problem throughout the years. I believe that early on in her singing career, she developed this unnatural habbit of using an overly accentuated vibrato, and this was a habbit that was hard to drop. However, she noticeably did, and she sings in a much more natural manner nowadays. But as this was dropped, a more whispery tone emerged. However, her runs are out of this world, and I agree that her head voice could be her best asset. I actually prefer it to Jade’s, for example, but as she was the designated low register of the group, this aspect of her voice had been unfortunately completely put aside. I am very happy that her natural voice is coming to light lately, but I just wish that she gets more diverse sections in songs, because I think that not even she is aware of how capaple and talented she is.
Leigh-Anne’s technique has gotten much better. Her placement is very good, and she learned how to mix really well, as discussed before. But I always feel that nerves get a hold of her, and that this is the reason she does not perform as well as she actually can. I believe her low notes and her falsetto could have been much better if they had been paid more attention to, but as she was the designated middle register and one of the two belters, it was not. Her support has gotten much better, and she has started to experiment a lot lately (and not just to ditch high notes as she formerly did), and I am always looking forward to seeing what else she has in store, because I feel that she has a lot more to show actually. I would just like the fandom to be even more supportive, so that she gets the drive to show us what she’s got. She has shown a lot of improvements, mostly because I think that she is more confident now.

Lightning is a very nice song for Leigh Anne. Her voice, to me was very ethereal/haunting in that song. It was beautiful and she kind of stood out the most in that song. She had that electricity.

This is the first video I've seen that's actually a vocal analysis and not a video that's actually meant to praise a certain member. I love how impartial you are towards the girls.
Leigh's inconsistent support on her 5th octave belts surprised the hell out of me... in a good way!!! some of these note weren't even from that long ago, one of the C5 was literally from like two weeks ago!!! i really hope she starts working on her support cause she could easily support up to C#5/D5 consistently! also, not to complain but i wish you would have talked about their breath control and breath support and gone more into detail on Leigh's and Jade's falsetto and their recent use of their head voice (i know they barely use it but still lol). anyhow, AMAZING VIDEO!!!! keep it up :)

I personally would say perrie and leigh are on the same level, leigh supports highers and often has more ease and less strain but perrie has more constistancy breath control and range, perrie has regressed recently but leigh anne has improved
Ooh, I LOVE these clips of Leigh-Anne! I love the smoothness of her voice. I'm consistently being surprised by Jesy. I have always loved her soulful vibrato heavy tone. But then she pulls out notes like on Power or her live performances of Freak. That and her head voice is TO DIE for!

Jade is the best of the group. Far more versatile, best technique, control, agility, runs, riffs. Her belts are underrated maybe she can go the highest as she proved in freak that she can literally do anything with her voice.
I love Jade, she's my favorite member of the group. I agree, she's versatile and musical but as far as the vocal technique goes, she's not the best.
She has a nice low register, that's for sure.
Her belting technique leaves quite a lot of to be desired unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, it's not that terrible but I think she has the worst belting technique in the group.
Even Jesy, who doesn't belt that often and is not considered a real 'belter' has shown more potential in that area, as long as the support and technique is concerned.
Jade has also a beautiful falsetto but she doesn't produce supported head voice.
Christina Aguilera Fan I agree some but the fact is she has got the best technique and control she knows how to play with her voice without getting it damaged or ruining its quality. I love perrie but her technique is terrible and that is why her voice has deteriorated since salute era. Jade is absolute Queen of falsettos and lately her head voice has shown so much potential for a really developed head voice in future though perrie's head voice is already great and my fav. Next, Jade belted that freak's difficult powerful high note A5/Bb5 with a really healthy technique and had been consistently hitting that high note many times in the glory days tour. She even did it better and higher than the studio version. I absolutely love her belts in good enough, competition etc. The fact is her belts are really underrated tho to me maybe she can do them the best but yeah I get you too. But I am 100% sure that it is only between Jade or Perrie for the best. Though right now I am looking forward to LM5. Nice interacting with you.

sydney mancini at the moment I believe Perrie is the best by a hair. She would have been the undisputed best, but she has been very inconsistent during the end of the glory days tour. It she doesn’t rest her voice the way she should during this break, then I think jade would become the best. Although jade is the most consistent, she doesn’t have the range and developed head voice that Perrie has. Lm5 is still a mystery and anything could change during the next few months. Between get weird and glory days, Leigh Anne really developed her support so there’s an opportunity that she continues to improve.
eamcbmsc no actually you wrong on the part where you say Jade hasn't got the range because the fact is Jade has a really wide undeniable RANGE and now both Jade and Perrie have 4 octaves range and lately Jade's head voice has shown the potential to be best developed. I don't think Leigh is near Jade or perrie right now but definitely she can let's see in coming years and also don't leave Jesy she can actually be really good she is equal to leigh only. But for the best vocalist, it is definitely between Jade or Perrie.
Diksha 012 jade May have four octaves, that has been said but not really proven. Even if jade has four octaves, she can only support 2 and a few notes. I wasn’t diminishing jade’s accomplishments, just stating that currently Perrie is still a better vocalist by a hair. Also, I said Leigh Anne had the potential to be the second best vocalist, I didn’t say that was going to be.

I am not hating on jade but many mixers are now saying that she is the best vocalist in the band just because she is expanding her range and her strain is not as audible as Perrie's. I know Jade is very talented and the most consistent among them but Perrie is still the best vocalist. Leigh-anne is my favorite though
please do a more recent one!! everyone has improved consistently since this video- leigh-anne's gained so much confidence and is very consistent, perrie's gotten rest and improved her belts once more, jade has been experimenting with her higher register and lower register and is doing great, and jesy's been improving equally in all parts of her voice
you should check perries vocals on their current tour summerhitstour. her voice is fully rested and she sounds phenomenal

Anyway, Perrie and Jade are better live, it's not even subjective, it's a fact. Leigh-Anne got better live, which I'm really happy about! (And I'm not the only one who noticed that she got better, Which means she wasn't perfect at the beginning...) But you probably don't know enough about singing to notice that and you'll prefer to say I'm delusional or that I'm hating about Leigh-Anne and Jesy, which I'm not. I love them all and respect them all.

As for their tour, I don't know because I've never seen them live. But I've watched pretty much all the videos live I can find on CZcams (that have decent quality.) The only times where I notice Perrie doesn't sing too well is in "Power", it's not terrible but definitely doesn't sound the same as in the studio version.

My favorite member is Jade, I think her voice is stunning. My second favorite vocalist in the band is Perrie. She's a hell of a belter but I like her tone less than Jade's. I think Jade and Perrie are the best live. I'm writing this comment at the beginning of 2021, and I can say that I noticed Leigh-Anne has gotten a lot better live, and I'm really glad about it! But she wasn't as good before. And it's not because I dislike her, it's just what it is (or what it was.)

@Aathman the only thing Jade has the edge over is agility and Lows everything else Perrie annihilates her sorry but it’s the truth and ‘ emotional delivery ‘ is subjective amongst personal preferences as far as singing styles & tones.
@@milkyteawithbiscuits3555 no actually perrie and jade are equal at lows. perrie’s lows are supported and jade’s were breathy up till their 3rd album(i forgot which era) but it used to be breathy, while perrie always have been able to support her lows. but now shes just not as good at lows cause of her throat operation, when she removed her tonsils
@@lanadelneighh Actually, it's quite different from what you said. Surprisingly, even though Perrie's voice got lighter after her surgery, her lows were far, far better. She struggled to support G#3s in 2012 but she became a lot more consistent with them over time. Jade was always consistent down to G#3 and doesn't really lower her larynx until Eb3 while Pez almost always lowers her larynx to hit notes below F#3 (there are a few times when Perrie sang her F3s in Your Love without lowering her larynx but she usually does).
Her range is literally as wide as Perrie and she showed the most range in the group.

Perrie has the most outstanding and powerful voice but since other girls’ voices are not that powerful (but they still obviously super amazing and talented!!) this fandom began to underrate her skills like all these notes are nothing special and perrie doesn’t provide us with amazing singing

Just one question, where did you learn to identify notes ?
I have a piano app that I use. I compare notes on the piano with the notes sung by singers and see which notes match.
I also sing in a choir and that helped me a lot to improve my ear as well.

Little Mix Musics Playing piano helps a lot. I’ve been playing for a while and I didn’t really know being able to identify pitches wasn’t a common skill because of how long I’ve been able to do it.
