- In this video I have a look over the TIS 851 full safe isolation kit, which comprises of: -
Proving unit 50-690v.
Voltage indicator with LCD display, continuity, and phase rotation.
Lock out kit with 3 types of toggles, multi clasp, pen, lock and tag.
Pouch fit the proving unit, which will also house the test leads.
Separate pouch for the test leads,
Bum bag for the lock out kit with enough storage for lamp adapters, socket adapters and maybe some test leads.
The kit is good value for money and puts the cat amongst the pigeons with the other brands on the market.
What TIS have set out to do is make safe isolation kit affordable and accessible, and this does just that.
There is a cheaper lower entry model which just has an LCD display, if money was tight.
Whatever you need to justify it, safe isolation is an important part of what we do as electricians and it separates those looking to be professionals, from those that risk their lives and others.

Another great video mate , Where do I get one of these kits I've had a look around and can't seem to find that same kit anywhere?
Where are you local too and I will find out for you.
I know CEF stock them
Personally if it were me, I would go for the TIS 859 series. I’m about to do a video on it today, so you might want to wait for that.
I’m also planning on doing a video reviewing testers across brands
@@Pure_electrical_training thanks mate ill watch out for it 👍🏻 and I'm in the Coventry area in the West Midlands , I have had a look on CEF website they have similar kit but not that one.
Hi Adrian. I'm having trouble purchasing this from CEF. It has to be purchased from the website and you need to register on the website. It doesn't look like there is an option to buy this as a private customer. There are only options for businesses sole trader
That’s a bit crap. Email Test Instrument Solutions and ask who your local stockist is
@@Pure_electrical_training thanks mate will do
I have the tis 851 and it has self proving facility
I don’t know if that complies with GS38
With LCD and LED display this is an exclusive voltage and continuity tester, with built in proving test that conforms fully to BSEN 61243-3:2010 and HSE GS38 12B.
According to spec so not sure lol
Hello Sir
