    This is their first Profactor hammer drill/drill driver. I'm interested to see what they come up with for a 1/4inch(6mm) profactor impact driver, something completely separate from their Freak line of drivers. I currently use the non-profactor 975cn and it's a beast.

      I'm curious as well.

      Bosch has a upgraded impact driver gdx 1860 but they also make the gdr version with 1/4 in. collet only.

      I recently bought the 975 as well and it's a definite upgrade from the 755

      The current impact drivers are already breaking 1/4 shaft left and right, I think as it is, it's would be pointless to add too much power for the 1/4" system.

    Hi Tommy. I just ordered the GSB18V-1330CN PROFACTOR, then I started wondering if a 4Amp will be sufficient, or should I shop for something bigger, then on my search I see also you have had one for a year. Would the 4Amp be ok, or should I go shopping?

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  Před 3 měsíci

      the 4 amp works fine for the profactor drill. for extreme situations, you can step up to the 8 amp hour. i use mine with the 4 amp battery all the time.

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  Před 2 lety +2

      The 150 is the European model. The 1330 is for North America. But they're the same as far as I know.

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  Před rokem

      Wow that's an extreme scenario, I would guess maybe between 20 and 30? It would take awhile to drill each hole depending on what type of bit you're using.

    The battery on that drill fits like the one on mine does. It wiggles like it was made for a complete different brand. I can see it moving in the video. I have their new 10 profactor miter saw and the same battery fits it nice and snug like it should. Bosch USA customer service is a joke. They told me to return it and try to order another. Problem is the free batteries aren't included. The basically introduced a faulty drill to the market. Hammer drill by Mattel.

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  Před rokem +1

      I've used this drill a handful of times, and haven't noticed the battery wiggling. I have no issues with mine. Definitely not a Mattel drill.

    • @marcuswright3569
      @marcuswright3569 Před rokem +1

      Most drills wether it’s an impact of hammer one are designed with the battery loose to help keep the vibrations down on the battery cells. Maybe yours actually is broken somehow but most likely it’s a feature. Could be wrong though

    Imagine being on the job, on site, up a ladder, work piece in one hand, in a rush / short on time... aaaaaaaannnnnddddd : You have to take your fucking phone out to adjust a setting on your drill -_-. Bosch really needed to put a mechanical dial for angle adjustment. ALSO; a physical circle-bubble level at the back of the drill would have been incredible ( for drilling straight down ).

    • @tooltipswithtommy
      @tooltipswithtommy  Před 2 lety

      You can adjust the angle settings without being hooked up to your phone. I do like the idea of a spirit level though.

    • @MohammadAlJammal
      @MohammadAlJammal Před 2 lety

      I do stick a bubble level on the back of my drill. Not very reliable, but it keeps the holes straight-ish!
      I'd love a dial or at least a +/- button
