    if you have a panel like the bio max where you can adjust the red lights. If you turn on only the near red light and look very close you should be able to just see a slight glow of red to tell if each bulb is on. If the normal red light is on you won't be able to see it over the bright red light.

    Hey alex .. got myself a biomax900 last month.. loving it.. only gripe is I wish it was a tad wider.. two questions….
    as far as dosing goes I’m doing 5 minute per section (only upper body) .. this consists of splitting my front in two half’s, my back in 2 half’s, and then both sides directly … equaling out to total time 30 minutes a day, standing about 6-8 inches away.. and for about 3-4 times a week… anything you would switch up or change?
    Second question… I am not wearing eye protection, there seems to be a lot of debate on if it’s truly necessary or not.. eyes are always closed when I’m working on my front, however I do have the later gen biomax with the few blue lights (which I’m thinking of turning off for when I do my front) just curious what you would do, I know you did mention in previous videos, how you tend to not wear eye protection either. And there are a lot of promising research how beneficial it actually can be on the eyes.. so always curious if I should be wearing eye protection or not lol

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Yeah the new LightPathLED panel at 15 inches is a great size - czcams.com/video/2ysBgXAd4dU/video.html
      Your dosing looks solid. I would stick with this.
      Eye protection - yeah I turn the blue off when exposing my eyes/face. I'm starting to use the glasses when I do direct face work - just to be safe and because I am using a lot of RLT products!

  • @dingdingdingdiiiiing

    Why would one 10 minute session be more beneficial compared to two 5 minute ones 12 hours apart? I've been doing the latter for a couple of weeks, every day - no complaints - but I can't tell if this is really good or not.
    Also, what do you think of a setup with one panel on top of the other and the person stands on a 3 RPM turntable for very even irradiation? I haven't seen it done, just got the idea and I'm thinking about doing it.

    My husband and I are over the road truckdrivers. I just purchased the Block Blue Light Mega panel with 300 lights for use in the truck. How durable are these panels and can they handle the long term life of living in a very bumpy environment? We plan to keep the packaging and store it in between uses in the box that it delivers in.

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Hey! Very cool. Um I haven't thought about this before!! I actually don't know. I mean they should be ok, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if there was an issue. I mean if they're packaged up when not in use (during the bumps) I guess it's no different to them being freighted in the back by a truck right?!

    Hi Alex, I’m mainly interested in using led for beauty: face, neck and hands. I’m confused if leds should sit directly on your skin (like masks) or should you be bathed in the light (like tabletop panels, dermalux Md). And I’m so confused why the more expensive leds like dermalux and cellulama actually requires 30 mins while the mask that has less power is only 10 min.

    I am feeling more and more confused about choosing a dull body panel I hsve looked at most of your videos now. and have been following for a year or more. I live in europe, so I was considering goong with the platinum LED biomax 900. For me the use is I need it to tackle fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis and C-PTSD., so it is important the wavelengths can pass the brain blood barrier. Is it too much to find a panel that can tackle so many issues? 🤗

    Have a shoulder that’s been bothering me for a few months now, was considering the kineion to try on this area. Wasn’t sure if it would make more sense to start with this and if it’s helpful then invest in a full panel down the road or if it’s better to start with a small panel.

      @AlexFergusdotcom  Před 4 měsíci +1

      If you check out my kineon review - czcams.com/video/0hzyu1dNtf0/video.html - you will see there are a lot of people who have had great results with it, even for shoulder problems. Though a panel may be more of a 'well rounded' product. Saying that, having BOTH products is quite benefical. I still use my Kineon despite having a bunch of panels to use.

    • @AlexFergusdotcom

      Hey, it's a good question and it's REALLY hard to answer. Have a look at this for starters - czcams.com/video/dynWCpql2ew/video.html
      You want to look at the devices irradiance (measured in mw/cm2).
      I'd say something over 50mw/cm2 would be needed to penetrate that deep and still have good energy. And make sure you get something with NIR lights.

    Hi Alex, When the company suggests 20 minutes per day, does it mean 20 minutes front of the body and 20 minutes back of the body or 20 minutes total? On this video I see you suggesting 5 minutes for each sides of the body (front, back and sides), is it right? Also, If my back hurts, should I do 20 minutes on my back and no front/sides, so I don't get overdue exposed to the light?

      Hey, you have a great setup! I'd keep that. The Biomax panels have 810nm. And I personally don't see much value in pulsing. Check this out - czcams.com/video/DVBOHQbq3OU/video.html

    Are there any restrictions we should be aware of in using the red light near the heart/chest cavity? or the throat neck? Thank you.

      Red light near your heart? Are you trying to light up your love life? Just kidding, but seriously, consult a medical professional to avoid any unexpected surprises!

      Thank you. Humor is always welcome and I was curious about the heart area as you stand with chest cavity in close proximity to the light. I am new to red light and appreciate your information. Wish I had found you prior to obtaining a product. Have a great day.

    the Pro 300 to start to see will I actually use it continually, here is my question instead of buying a red light helmet also, for my hair , can I use my Mito Pro 300 on my head for the same results????

    Alex, I have to see how you would make a full body therapy work if you only had the size of the bbl max … preferably not standing …

    • @AlexFergusdotcom
      @AlexFergusdotcom  Před 2 měsíci

      A horizontal stand and you would have to move it to hit different body parts. You could alternate days, day 1 top half and lower half Day 2 back top half and back lower half- just an idea

    The problem I found with goggles is 1. They don't block out all the light and 2. They cover the precise areas around my eyes where I want a theraputic dose.
    Are there super minimal goggles that only cover the eye balls and not surrounding tissue? If not thinking this is a good use case for a mask design rather than a panel.

      You could use the smaller tanning goggles - they are quite minimalist

      Blue light isn't as beneficial (or amazing!) as red light therapy :)
