    So I'm a bit confused. is it because the j value for jba and jbc are the same that there is overlapping? Say if jba was 7hz and jbc was 10 hz. In that case there will be no overlapping and we would see four splits for Hb instead of 3 right ?

    You said that we can split from both sides.. But isn't it depend upon j value.... Higher the value of j more will be tendecy to split from that perticular side??

    For the last example, if distance was not given (you used 10Hz in the example), would we assume that it is a quartet?

      the j value must given to see if the peak overlap or not....if its not overlap we see doublet of doublet and if its overlap we see triplet as we saw in the last of the video
