Okay so you missed out on lore but that's fine; Basically when The Furtive Pygmy from the intro cutscene found a lordsoul, he found a unique soul, The titular Dark Soul. Instead of keep it for himself, he split it among his descendants, so that they would all be empowered by their Dark Souls(roll credits) Those fragments of The Dark Soul, are the Humanity item, that's why they heal you so much, that's why you find them on hollows and humans. As for the rats? That's because they eat so many humans. Thing is, the dark souls granted humans power; they became Immortal. When a human died in battle against the dragons, which they would quite a lot given the nature of the conflict, it wasn't an issue because they would reform after a while. They were killable, sure, but they would always come back, A little bit more skilled, A little bit better at combat. And if they earned some souls and grew stronger, well, all the better. Unfortunately, Gwynn was scared of this ability, and in the guise of rewarding the humans, corralled many of them into The Ringed City as a prison, setting a dragon upon them after the war was over. And when the age of fire began to fade, Gwynn, in an attempt to fuel the first flame, cursed humanity, burning their dark souls with a ring of flame, turning them mortal. Then, he erased The Dark Soul from history In an attempt to prevent The Dark Lord from o e day being born among them and bringing about The Age Of Dark that should have happened after the fire faded. He resisted the natural order, extending his age of fire by burning away humanity's immortality. Thing is, try though he might, the age if fire still began to end, and his power faded with it, and so The Darksign, his curse, began to show on some humans, the power of their Dark Souls shining through, returning their ability to respawn... But with a side effect. As long as you retain your will, your humanity is strong enough to resist the effects of the flame burning at it, but when you live several lives, and your humanity weakens as your will does, be that will born from hopelessness, faith, determination, hope, whatever, when you lose that, the fire inside burns away your mind, leaving flaming pupils ablaze with Gwynn's fire. You become a hollow, mad and violent. And so, the undead "curse" is actually the desperate attempt of a man who's time has run out, as gwynn trembled at the dark. This is why I urged you to speak to the dark stalker kaathe, for if you had known, perhaps your decision would have been different. It's okay though, because you can just NOT Kindle the fire at the end, leaving instead, if you want the dark lord ending.

I think humans mutate under the influence of dark and a better solution out of the fire hasn’t been devised yet. Don’t get me wrong, lord of the dark ending sounds so much cooler than Gwen’s ending but I’m doing it for the canon that my ds3 character will beat my ds1 character lol.
9:23 Erdtree Avatars are based off of this moveset, yes. Fromsoft likes bringing that boss back a lot, as it's an homage to the first boss of Demon's Souls. By the way, once you play Dark Souls 2, you should play the demons Souls remake, it's very Well done and pretty fun IMO.

The Asylum Demon is absolutely the same base body and moveset as the Erdtree Avatars, and the Imps in Elden Ring are clearly the same as the short dudes in DS3
IMO the best thing to do for lore with the serpents is talk to Frampt, but bone out before placing the Lordvessel, then kill the Four Kings and talk to Kaathe, then bone out again and warp back to the Abyss and join Kaathe's covenant + spend 30 humanity if you want all of his stuff. Then you go to Frampt, choose Warp from his menu, and place the Lordvessel. That way you can still sell excess stuff to Frampt if you want to, or use him to break down green titanite (or large titanite for Int/Faith builds) into regular titanite. And you don't piss off Kaathe either, because to piss him off, you have to visit him in the Abyss again, and why would you do that after getting his covenant items? (Whereas with Frampt, you're probably going to be going to Firelink Shrine a lot.)

And while I don't know of any direct evidence to support this last bit, when I see these horrible bug-like beasts called Sunlight Maggots on the outskirts of Lost Izalith, whose crest looks like a sun and which can be used as a helmet that makes a light above you, I can only conclude that in their will to make a first flame similar to that of Gwynn's Sunlight, they made a form of life, as grotesque and parasitic as the rest, that mimics the power of the sun.
Lore time 1) Who tf are the 2 primordial ugly snakes that lead you to your 2 diffent endings? The 2 snakes originaly are disined to bring the world to the age of darkness and are named Framt and kaath,whe know that they are imperfect dragon for this reason they are immortal and exist probably from the start of the first flame,the reason why Framt betray its original purpouse of bringing the age of dark becouse he was seduced by gwyn and make its life purpouse to continue the age of fire,and kaath is acting in the shadows and if you did his dialogue he explained to you the truth of the world,that the humanity are descendent from the Furtive pygmy (saldly whe never meet him),the forte lord and the lord of darkness that give shards of his lord souls to make the humans,and that after the age of fire,he would become the Darklord and rule the new world,but in ds3 they expand his lore and whe know that him and gwyn where not initialy enemy,in fact he fought whit him during the war of dragon and gwyn was so scared of their power(their power is the respawn whe have in videogame in general) that makes them potentialy stonger than him and his kindom that he try to seduce him giving to him and his people a beutifull city(the ring city you explore in the second dlc of ds3),and his young dauther(filianore the girl you see and accidentaly kill before you fight gael,the reason she died its becouse she was like protecting the kindom from the thousan of years that passed and when you wake her up you broke the spell and everything preaty much ages alot like alot of years),and he preaty much stay there whit the other pygmy whit a shard of the dark souls(you see them when Gael eat them),whe know that he probably died,whe can theorise he was killed by a foolish king whe know in the lore but noting 100% canon,and preaty much the dark lord its the successor of the Furtive pygmy 2) the witch of izalith is one of the 4 original lord and she had the souls of life,despite during the war whit the dragon she burned the archtree becouse it was the home of the dragons,after the war she continue to live whit her kindom underground (before the war of dragon probably they lived underground)whit the archtrees and she is the mother of the art of fire(an ancient version of pyromancy like fire ball wich you are using btw),and she had 7 daughters and 1 male son,and after the flame started to fading she was doing experiment whit her lord souls whit her daughters to make a new flame,but the experiment end up badly and started a corruption made by the flame of Caos that turned the habitant of izalith into demons and made the corruption of blightown and the deapt, gwyn after the incindent send his silver knight to exterminate the demons,but they lost the war (but they kill most of them) and their armor and weapons became burned by the caos flame and losed their mind and started to wander around the world(that why you see them in different spots),the witch of izalith and her 2 daughters that helped her baceme one whit a arch tree and became the bed of caos (the witch of izalith is the weird bug you one shot and the 2 daughters became the 2 shield) the male son became the chaseless discarge(the fire golem) and one lf his sister that didnt became a demon give him a ring for fire protection,but him mistakenly kills her and guard her body(he attack you when you loot the dead body of his sisters that its preaty understandable btw),and he mistakenly lose his fire ring and that ring turned into the centipede demons after the ring touches the lava,another of the daughter of the witch of izalith(the pyromancer your obliterate that guard the bed of caos arena)protect her mother and sisters,and whe have Quelaag and the firekeeper of blightown(they instead get turned into demon and their lover body is transformed into spider body),in the lore the firekeeper sacrifice her health to limit the corruption of blightown and the hollow that have the eggs are just helping her easing her pain taking some of the corruption she absorbed,and quelaag attack you becouse she search for humanity for easing her sister pain(the reason why you need to pay 30 humanity to save solaire its becouse when you kill quelaag you give a death sentence to the firekeeper but if you give her some humanity you make her feel better so its the most kind thing to do)and at the end whe have a secret npc you didnt find called quelana that its one of the daughter of the witch of izalith that escape lost izalith and is the mother of pyromancy (wich is a more accessible form of the art of fire the fire sage used or other demons) you find her if you have the flame of pyromancy +10 and she is the one that teached the pyromancy to the greath swamp 200 years before
You can say your sword becouse its a black knight sword(which in ds3 have a 20% bonus in damege to demons maibe even in ds1 but im not sure) get a revange to the demons of caos lmao
@@TrueSquareFace i give you a tip,pyromancy dont need stat requirements and you have the 2 of the strongest pyromancy of the game(caos ball and caos storm) the only bad thing is that you need 2 slot to equip them but noting serius,so you can have a realy good spell just for a few level(and if you want to upgrade your pyro damage go to the pyromancer in firelink shrine and upgrade your hand of pyromancy)

The 2 snakes originaly are disined to bring the world to the age of darkness and are named Framt and kaath,whe know that they are imperfect dragon for this reason they are immortal and exist probably from the start of the first flame,the reason why Framt betray its original purpouse of bringing the age of dark becouse he was seduced by gwyn and make its life purpouse to continue the age of fire,and kaath is acting in the shadows and if you did his dialogue he explained to you the truth of the world,that the humanity are descendent from the Furtive pygmy (saldly whe never meet him),the forte lord and the lord of darkness that give shards of his lord souls to make the humans,and that after the age of fire,he would become the Darklord and rule the new world,but in ds3 they expand his lore and whe know that him and gwyn where not initialy enemy,in fact he fought whit him during the war of dragon and gwyn was so scared of their power(their power is the respawn whe have in videogame in general) that makes them potentialy stonger than him and his kindom that he try to seduce him giving to him and his people a beutifull city(the ring city you explore in the second dlc of ds3),and his young dauther(filianore the girl you see and accidentaly kill before you fight gael,the reason she died its becouse she was like protecting the kindom from the thousan of years that passed and when you wake her up you broke the spell and everything preaty much ages alot like alot of years),and he preaty much stay there whit the other pygmy whit a shard of the dark souls(you see them when Gael eat them),whe know that he probably died,whe can theorise he was killed by a foolish king whe know in the lore but noting 100% canon,and preaty much the dark lord its the successor of the Furtive pygmy
2) the witch of izalith is one of the 4 original lord and she had the souls of life,despite during the war whit the dragon she burned the archtree becouse it was the home of the dragons,after the war she continue to live whit her kindom underground (before the war of dragon probably they lived underground)whit the archtrees and she is the mother of the art of fire(an ancient version of pyromancy like fire ball wich you are using btw),and she had 7 daughters and 1 male son,and after the flame started to fading she was doing experiment whit her lord souls whit her daughters to make a new flame,but the experiment end up badly and started a corruption made by the flame of Caos that turned the habitant of izalith into demons and made the corruption of blightown and the deapt, gwyn after the incindent send his silver knight to exterminate the demons,but they lost the war (but they kill most of them) and their armor and weapons became burned by the caos flame and losed their mind and started to wander around the world(that why you see them in different spots),the witch of izalith and her 2 daughters that helped her baceme one whit a arch tree and became the bed of caos (the witch of izalith is the weird bug you one shot and the 2 daughters became the 2 shield) the male son became the chaseless discarge(the fire golem) and one lf his sister that didnt became a demon give him a ring for fire protection,but him mistakenly kills her and guard her body(he attack you when you loot the dead body of his sisters that its preaty understandable btw),and he mistakenly lose his fire ring and that ring turned into the centipede demons after the ring touches the lava,another of the daughter of the witch of izalith(the pyromancer your obliterate that guard the bed of caos arena)protect her mother and sisters,and whe have Quelaag and the firekeeper of blightown(they instead get turned into demon and their lover body is transformed into spider body),in the lore the firekeeper sacrifice her health to limit the corruption of blightown and the hollow that have the eggs are just helping her easing her pain taking some of the corruption she absorbed,and quelaag attack you becouse she search for humanity for easing her sister pain(the reason why you need to pay 30 humanity to save solaire its becouse when you kill quelaag you give a death sentence to the firekeeper but if you give her some humanity you make her feel better so its the most kind thing to do)and at the end whe have a secret npc you didnt find called quelana that its one of the daughter of the witch of izalith that escape lost izalith and is the mother of pyromancy (wich is a more accessible form of the art of fire the fire sage used or other demons) you find her if you have the flame of pyromancy +10 and she is the one that teached the pyromancy to the greath swamp 200 years before
You can say your sword becouse its a black knight sword(which in ds3 have a 20% bonus in damege to demons maibe even in ds1 but im not sure) get a revange to the demons of caos lmao

@@TrueSquareFace i give you a tip,pyromancy dont need stat requirements and you have the 2 of the strongest pyromancy of the game(caos ball and caos storm) the only bad thing is that you need 2 slot to equip them but noting serius,so you can have a realy good spell just for a few level(and if you want to upgrade your pyro damage go to the pyromancer in firelink shrine and upgrade your hand of pyromancy)
