So glad everyone is taking the heat into consideration for both riders and horses. A few days ago it was around 100 degrees here and I passed out while riding. Hoping everything goes smoothly for everyone in the Olympics.
You scared me when you said 100 degrees, because I count them by Celsius. 😂😂
I hope everything is well with you! Take care 🤗
@@thetrulytruth8382 Oh gosh 😂
@@Wiiilmagiiirl Thank you! You too!
@@baysalldays4882 - Thank you! :D
i love how mutch you are thinking of the horses and the heat
We love how much YOU all think about it too 💙
@@feichannel Sure, comments mean engagement and money for the channel. Some endurance horses will die, again. Wanna bet?
This is really interesting. I like the idea of the cold ambulance, that’s going to be a hoot to look out for!
Wow, it’s going to be very hot those days over there in Tokyo! Poor riders and horses 😂
Coming through …… 🚑 🧊
@@thetrulytruth8382 Going to have to take lots of precautions… but the good news is that the setup is outstanding 👏
@@feichannel Great!
Good Luck to All!!
With the right precautions taken, it’s going to be a fantastic competition 💙
These video's I watch so manny times becouse it is so nice to learn from
Excellent video!
I live in an area where it’s relatively cool, but at shows when we travel it gets quite hot. Taking show jackets off is a well enjoyed moment before we load the horses.
Which company did the animation cartoon? It looks great
You should have had the competition in Santa Barbara, California. Japan can be spectacular+
Our top country rider is going
Do will you diffuse the Olympic Games of Tokyo in live on this channel?
Please can you answer I want to know if you will diffuse Olympic Games on this channel In live!?
Legally I don’t think they can. The rights to show the Olympics belong to NBC and as the exclusive coverer they will almost certainly not allow FEI to show the footage live or even in large clips. The most we will see will be 1-2 riders in clips, and it will likely be after the Olympics ends. Your best bet is to get the NBC streaming app or follow Olympic Channel on tv.
@@redfailhawk As a French citizen, can I download NBC’s app? And do will diffuse some part of equestrian? But I’m not sure I can watch it like that because I’m not in America.
@@redfailhawk Even in France can we have the Olympic channel on tv?
Not sure what your question is... what do you mean by diffuse? If you're talking about television coverage, I would imagine it's different based on market/country. In the US, NBC has the rights to air. Likely a broadcast network in France will carry the games for you to watch.
But isn’t it very bad for horses to drink cold water just after a competition?
The shouldn't even drink at all right after training 🤷♀️
@@Kimberly00000 what? I have never heard that before. If the horse is thirsty, let them drink.
@@LadyPinkie13 that is the point, straight out of the Parcours they shouldn't drink, they would be drinking to fast an get throat obstruction
It’s not good for a horse to drink straight after their run however it’s ok to sponge water on their mouth and walk them around whilst pouring water on them as long as it’s not freezing cold
why is there a dislike? lol
Why isn't the Paralympic horse in a wheelchair?
Does not anyone care what the Japanese people think of the games they do not want it. So sad that this is not said enough.
They haven’t got a say as their government gave it the go ahead. They haven’t got a choice in the matter anymore as they gave it the go ahead and then decided to pull out 3months before hand. Horses are being shipped and it’s not good for them to just keep flying back and forth because people can’t decide
@@lunamagicath1658 covid kills people
@@jobond3317 I know that but they agreed to it and started pulling out a few months before it started. The committee wouldn't cancel it cause it's already started. They screwed up. All I'm doing is answering your question
Why the lector sound exacly like wilbur soot
I don’t hear it honestly
Kinda yeah
The Covid-19 regulations seem a bit much compared to what has been going on at most international competitions the past few months. Has to really damper the enjoyment of the games to spend so much time in your room as an athlete. Aren't most of them vaccinated?
It's Japan, they like to be super careful about everything so they don't get bad rep
I think it’s best to be more cautious, if there is an outbreak it could cause the games to be cancelled. That happening would waste a lot of time and money for both the competitors and the people who made the event, so I think it’s worth it.
Am I the only one around here who doesn't think 30°C is that hot?
humidity has a big role, thats also the reason they focus on the WGBT index when presenting the temperature, because it takes multiple "heat measures" into consideration istead of just the temperature for eksampel : D
It is for many Europeans. If you're from the the southern US or other parts of the world, it honestly isn't much at all, even with humidity. This is normal conditions for Florida and actually can get far worse.
Like Emilie said, it’s not the heat but the humidity. Countries where horses and people are used to this it can be very dangerous
It depends so much, 30C here in Finland is different than 30C in Japan. In Japan it feels MUCH worse because it's so humid you feel like you can't breathe.
Just cancel the games and save money
Air conditionned stables? People are dying from fires and floods and we ship horses around the globe to compete in sports? This is ridiculous and stupid.
Totally agree. The production of all that energy that will be needed to cool down the stables, tents, rooms etc. will at the same time heat up the planet more and more. Why not shift the event to a date when climate is milder?
And I am here with 36 degrees Celsius NOT turning the AC on for environmental reasons - how stupid am I.
Generally, horses deal with heat so much worse than humans, as they are way more muscled and produce so much heat themselves from exercising. Due to that, they get hotter three to ten times faster than humans. Also they make so much sweat that it does not keep up with evaporating and cooling of the body.
But generally I agree that the animals should not be shipped, and that the Olympics is a bad idea due to covid.
People always are dying from fire and floods
How cruel to make horses jump, is not natural and they break their legs. Stop this inhuman sport.
