10 Things I (probably) Won’t Do As A TarotTuber

- Inspired by a “tag” that I have seen doing the rounds within the Booktube space.
Important Disclaimer: This is not in any way a statement about what I think other people should or shouldn’t be doing on their own channels.
I've never really understood the "need" to apologise for owning and showing an OOP deck. I've seen it quite a lot on tarottube and it kind of baffles me. I just don't get it. It is what it is and there is no shame in owning something that has become rare.
I like the whole "My CZcams Channel > My House > My Rules". I agree with this! :)
I like this and will VR but will not be the human who creates the tag. 😂 Found myself nodding along. I share many of these. I think comment deleting can be pretty vital - following your parallel, I wouldn't want someone to come to my house and be harassed there by another guest, and am more than happy to toss jerks from parties as needed. 😊

I’m with you on pretty much all of these, though I do make the odd deck review and have (rarely) received a deck for review… and I do like a schedule 😂 sometimes I like to play with editing and add some b-roll etc but that’s when I’m feeling fancy and treating it more like an art project in itself, but usually I don’t have time for that. We absolutely do have the right - obligation even - to keep the comment section safe.
I like watching the people who share their thoughts in a thoughtful, interesting, and kind way, which is why I watch your videos ❤

I loved this, and not being apologetic for the kind of content you do and don't make. That's the way to go. Hard agree that deleting comments isn't silencing too. Just so many fabulous points wonderfully shared.

Hearing you talk about not apologizing for showing OOP decks, in particular, was quite validating for me, since I noticed other folks doing so, and that made me feel like had to, despite wanting to feel excited to share them. 😅

You absolutely should share the things you are excited about without apology 😁 IMO sharing the things that excites you is what it’s all about, and watching other people talk about the things they are passionate about is something I always really enjoy personally.

And for someone who does the bare minimum of editing, you did a lovely job with our recent monthly catch-up 💜 I'd totally do a VR to this, but it would essentially be: "See Heather's video, items 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, . . . I a million percept agree about your take on comments. I don't get the rationale that people don't want to delete comments. As far as I am concerned, my comment sections is a Brittatorship. What I say goes at the end of the day. Rude? Delete. Racist? Delete. Spam? Delete. Also I will absolutely block people as well....without hesitation!

I understand people not wanting to just delete comments that they disagree with but that are still perfectly polite, but there is such a big space between that and just allowing anyone to say anything they like.

For a "won't" video this was charming and down to earth. Also some things said in this world should be silenced from our personal / community / neighbourhood spaces.
Yeah I’m not even sure I can do a VR to this because I’d just be rehashing your entire video verbatim 🤣🤣🤣 And especially agree with the last point about your channel being your house. I’m all for people coming into my comments with respectful disagreement with something I said and I’m happy to have a dialogue about stuff like that. But the second someone behaves like a dick: 👋🚫
Right?! I think “don’t tolerate people being dicks” is pretty good life advice in general 😁

Can you say it louder for those in the back....lol Preach it darling. I completely agree about blocking and removing comments. I don't have the power to silence someone. They can just go speak their minds on their channels if I have blocked them. I curate my watchlist also because my time is precious. I think we are a community also, that doesn't mean we all have to agree, but we are here hopefully for our love of tarot. My channel is my space and if someone is coming in to act like a Dick say bye bye...giggles. I am not consistent either and I love VR's also, and I do not upload on a schedule. I get too burned out with schedules. I tried that early on and said nope. I love walk throughs and find them super valuable for me personally and love doing them however I totally respect that you do not. Thank you for sharing sweet lady, this is a great idea for tarot tube also. 🥰🥰🥰
I definitely think walk throughs, and reviews, have a really important place within tarot tube. Being able to see a whole deck before buying it is super useful 😁
