Movie Night at Dodger Stadium

The Dodgers hosted a Movie Night for the very first time ever at Dodger Stadium and showed the Movie ELF starring Will Ferrel. Being just over a week before Christmas, they decorated (a little bit) for the holiday and served holiday and Elf themed food (to those who could get it). We got to take a small guided tour up to the Vin Scully Press Box and down to the Dug Out Club where the World Series trophies, gold gloves, silver bats and cy young awards are. They had photo ops with the 2020 World Series trophy, walking bobblehead characters, and another location shot in front of the Blue Heaven on Earth sign and the photos were digitally sent to you for free. There were arts and crafts to do, but those only lasted for the first 45 mins after opening. They had all of the grass on the field available for seating as well as one section of seats just past 3rd base open. With the exception of not having enough food booths open, it was a really great experience and I hope to do it again!
EDIT: At 2:45 I accidentally said it was the 1st time ever showing a movie at Dodger Stadium and that was not correct. What I meant to say was that it was the first ever time having a movie night at Dodger Stadium. oops :)

Elf and Christmas Vacation are my two go-tos, I watch them every year. I saw Elf in the theatre when it was released and knew it would become a tradition immediately. This looks so cool to do at Dodger Stadium. Try doing this at Target Field and it might look like the North Pole (except this year it would have been perfect at 50 degrees).

Those are favorites of mine as well. It was so hard to watch them demolish the Griswold house not long ago. I will work that into a video sometime soon. But it was really fun to be back at the stadium again! That would be cool
If it snowed while watching it at Target. Or maybe Tristyn’s dream of the entire field being an ice skating rink could happen in MN!!

Thank you for the video! Great coverage and I didn’t see or hear about this being done! So everything, less food and souvenirs, was included, tours and things, in the price of the ticket? Yes, crazy that they knew how many tickets they sold and how many people would be there and only open one food stand!! No forethought, bad managing! Guess they were trying to keep the overhead down? But a neat thing to do! Hopefully they’ll learn from this event!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a enjoyable fan fest to both of you!

Thanks! Yes, It sucked not being able to get anything to eat the whole time we were there. Yes, people were allowed to bring their own food in, but we didn't because of the advertisement of the fun ELF themed food they would be selling. Next time I hope they will do better :)

Yes, What I meant to say was that it was the first ever "movie night" at the park. Yes, they have shown movies before and were usually day time after games. This was only open specifically for the movie, and at night. I wish I would have caught that wording before I published this :)
