- Kendrick went back to back on "6:16 in LA", a new diss track shared on Instagram, so here's a complete breakdown of every shot at Drake and reference in the song
He warned Drake that he’d go “back to back” on “Euphoria” earlier this week, and now he made good on that promise with this song. Dot spends much of the song surgically picking apart Drake’s OVO crew, planting seeds that there is a rat among them. This angle is especially effective given how paranoid Drake already was before all of this (on songs like “Champagne Poetry,” he raps about how his “cleaning staff’s plotting extortion” on him). The smooth flip of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” makes the track sound amazing even without the shots, but of course, Kendrick even found a way to hide a deeper meaning behind the sample itself, which has ties into Drake’s family (more on that below).“6:16 in LA” is full of layered references and even more “quintuple entendres,” so here’s a breakdown of all of the deeper meanings behind the track. - Zábava
no way this shit is already two songs behind. we staying up tn so subscribe and lmk your thoughts if you're fw the breakdowns
You gotta bit of work to do today
the goat
Bro it’s 3 songs.. This one. Euphoria and Meet the grahams 🥶🥶🥶🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bruh these breakdowns are goated
No
Drake prolly watching this cuz he can’t decipher the diss himself 💀
😂 right!
😂😂😂
drake if your there like the original comment
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
HOW MANY FUCKING ENTENDRES CAN KENDRICK PACK INTO A SONG TITLE WHAT THE FUCK
Kendrick: Yes
Not enough. He has to make more
It's looked supernaturally scary.
Bruh he's a different breed frfr that's why he always been #1. My Twin. Kobe, Nipsey and Pac, Andre 3000 been my favorites too and I'll be 41 on May 25th.
Genius
Not a beef anymore
. This is a therapy session for drake
A long life battle with himself fr
So nobody noticed how with each diss track Kendrick acted like drake Psychologist even asked him questions (Have you ever?) then in this diss as if the psychologist is having a sit down with the family letting them know what Drake mental health state is😮😮
So nobody noticed how this comment has been copied and pasted in every video about this and it’s not your thought? Lmao Jesus
i see it more like parent-teacher conferences lol
Nah that's not what this is. Have you ever is a very popular game lots of people play. And it's a battle he's essentially calling him a degenerate and he's being incredibly mean. Just because you're attacking someone's morals doesn't mean you're trying to be a psychologist or he's doing a bit
In battle rap it’s called talking 2 there soul. It’s when you jus spit straight raw real undeniable bars acknowledging breaking apart nd psycho analyzing there whole life persona weaknesses flaws mistakes nd truths. Nd whn u gt bars nd the opponent has plenty 2 grab frm it can get ugly!!! I’ve seen it defeat sme of the best bars out! It takes the audience faith n energy out of anything they attempt especially whn the narrative appears as true
If you watch battle rap you would know “have you ever” has been a recurring theme in that world.
He Didn't Diss Drake. He Fathered Him'
I also think 6:16 in LA is a play on Kendrick letting Drake kno he not in a NY apartment but in LA recording these disses.
Bro forget your family for a week. You have to work overtime
He already forgot about his family before this whole thing started, there’s no coming back for the boy 😅
OMG I need the breakdown for the other two songs!!! Kendrick just dropped
I got y'all
Even Drake just dropped
Other 2? Drake dropped too? Omega I can’t even keep track
@@pearlfountain drake me song also
@@pearlfountain and not like us bro you better work overtime
The third angel is Estelle, his grandmother he mentions later in the verse. Tupac, Kobe, Estelle.
dont forget about proverbs 6:16 which lists everything that kendrick is accusing drake of
🫨
I just commented about this, too.
Can someone clarify 1 Corinthians 6:16
@@artscyentist911 oh my god theres so many layers to it
and they still dont wanna call him a genius
@@artscyentist911Christian's body, as a member of-or "joined to"-Christ, should never at the same time become a member, one body, with a prostitute. This would apply to all forms of sexual immorality.
that breakdown on 3 angels line gave me chills
The best breakdown in YT...excellent work, mad props..👏👏🔥🔥
fr
💯
This reply need more likes
These bars so deep you need 2 shovels 🤯
The fact he got cooked so bad in this, its not a diss, its a
disappointment that kendrick is expressing about drake.
Kendricks approach hasn't been about disappointment. He's been very open and vocal about the fact it's about hatred
Bro do you read a lot or you just know all this stuff
😭😭😭
Yo same thoughts I was like he really did his research 😂
Big factssss
Dude is fulfilling his purpose. I didn't know most of this shit. It gives context!! 😮
Dawg amazing breakdown the way someone gotta really sit down and break apart each verse Kendrick develops isn’t only an art but also to you who sits and dissects these be versed thank you
This beef is getting scary
There is no beef foo. Kendrick is from a real hood with real hood problems that some of us unfortunately are still in or got out of. Drake has a trust fund, grew up in a country with zero homelessness , ghettos or hoods. Lamar is hood born and raised he knows how to move. Drake has paid security. There is no beef.
@@mrouncervideos2905Toronto, Canada - does indeed have homelessness, ghettos and hoods and the same problems faced elsewhere… like where Kendrick is from.
If you want to make a point about Drake not having the same struggle as Kendrick, sure.. but Toronto has the same big city issues LA does.
@@braydendewar3695Literally NOWHERE in his comment did he say Toronto didn't have hoods g.
He literally just stated where Kendrick is from, and the fact that Drake is privileged. So idk where you even got this take from.
@@braydendewar3695 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣
@braydendewar3695 no. I grew up in L.A. I personally know homelessness, ghettos, and gang life. I've been to Toronto, Cornwall, Montreal, etc. Canadian government has a safety net for unemployment and housing. Have you been to East L.A. and Lame Canada to make a comparison? If not then StFu.
Kendrick really put out a quadraple or quantiple shit for drake
That last part about internet bots is interesting given that Drake has limited commenting on his IG but Kendrick’s is open…
Thank you for this brilliant breakdown. As packed and insightful as the diss track, well done ❤
Once again thank you for the breakdowns im binge watching all your breakdown videos to get a full understanding of this situation thank you
Always a treat to see your breakdowns
Great video. Just gotta let you know Daylyt is pronounced day light instead of day lit. Might come in handy in future breakdowns since he’s wrapped up in it!
wordd lmao appreciate that and thanks for watching
Yep. In ' like that' he said best work is a light pack.
Absolutely amazing work my friend
Best Explanation ever… THANKS❤
Took me more than an hour to watch the whole breakdown still can't comprehend everything he said... damnn! I used to like k-dot... but his beef really made me a fan , this shii beyond genius😮💨
Amazing breakdown bro!!❤
That was really good Info my boy!!! 100% 😮
1:22 I don’t think he was referring to gods plan. I think he was referring to the time Drake paid 100k to find info on pusha t after the story of adidon released
Nah. This is the most concise and efficient breakdown I've seen yet. AND it includes clips of the actual song. Had to sub.
Damn dude. This is an amazing breakdown. Thanks!
loved this 🔥
This is the best break down out there! You are a true rapologist!
Love your analysis, definitely spot on seems like
Wow this is so thorough! I haven't seen anyone dissect the disks tracks to this level, thanks!
As a newcomer I wouldn't be able to catch all the references!
So well done!
J. Cole is sitting back watching and hoping this beef ends just in time for the DragonFlow Tournament.
Super insightful. Thank you.
I have watched virtually all reactions to all kendricks diss tracks, n i have to say along wiv knox hill, your defiantly one of the best at what you, what i like is not about pausing and going crazy at every bar, but an indepth knowledge of each bar and explaining them like no other. Keep doing what you do, just commenting to give u ur flowers bro✌️
Appreciate you bro!
Had to susbcribe, such a good breakdown. I needed this lol
Good work bro
Thank you so much for this this was bomb! like so much to take in😮😮😮 if you could have saw me and my daughters reaction to this video we were pausing running out of the room and just being like WTFFFF! the 6:16 thing was just over the top!
new sub thank you I love shit like this
I read this on Complex.
OJ Simpson’s murder case began on June 16, 1995, and this reference could tie into the black leather glove on the song’s cover artwork, which might be Kendrick’s way of implying that some of Drake’s own crimes will soon come to light.
Fans are also pointing to the Bible verse, Corinthians 6:16, which reads, “Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’” This could be yet another jab at Drake’s tastes in women.
The song is built around a sample of Al Green’s “What a Wonderful Thing Love Is,” which has direct ties to Drake’s family. Drake’s father’s cousin, Mabon “Teenie” Hodges, was a guitarist and songwriter for Al Green, and he’s credited for playing on this specific song.
What an incredible breakdown. Thank you!
Great breakdown! The rabbit hole goes deep with this one. It's the slept on diss track in my opinion b/c most of the references went over people's heads (like mine too).
Dude you are awesome at breaking this stuff down this fast. I got to give you credit. You're one of the best ones. I've watched some of these people that are trying to break it down. Don't know exactly the details like you do. Thank you for this and by the way Kendrick is going to keep smoking Drake and im quite enjoying it😂
Thank you for these cuz I’m not really in the rap world and I can’t keep up with all this😭❤
Thanks for unpacking that your like a walking hip hop history book✊🙏❤️
Great breakdown
I just want to point out that Sun Seeker makes a line of boats called "Predator".
My mind is blown. I’m going to have to come back to this
Dang time flies. Literally forgot this dropped a minute ago
Perfect breakdown
This breakdown is great
i believe you were right about KDOT dropping at 8:15pm, I'm not sure, but it is very close!
Amazing
This man working overtime
Thats the beauty about Kendrick you actually need a break down because his shit is a code
Very good breakdown…
OMG YOU ARE SO TALENTED 😭🙏🏽
Good work man this helped explain to my rib(lady)
Im sure u broke down stuff even kendrick isn't aware of my boy lol sheesh. U a beast wit the breakdowns
Banger
Damn Bro. You are going deep, I missed all of it.
This is the best song of the whole battle. I will die on this hill
You need to revisit this shit man this went way deeper now a week later
nice vid
Crazy
Sunseeker not a reference to Daylyt and it's pronounced "Daylight"
the first 5:50 0f this video is INSANE !!!! i dont even GAF about the diss anymore this shit hit way different now
super great
You didn’t talk about the sound heard at the beginning
Half white is called a (counterfeit) where I'm from.😂
whats up w the dogs in background
Layers upon layers! Sheesh
Bro this was a good video but whats the rush? Its too choppy and distracting.
You didn’t explain the whole cover what is the receipt the medicine bottle you only mention the glove
imagine this being a smoke screen for Meet The Grahams
Well I do like the lyrical diversitive Lamar and even that he used an old school Al Green beat. For people that say KL songs don't sound as melodic as Drake I think they can use this as a example to show he can make songs that have replay value.
Not sure of this will really affect Drake I'm the long run but good to see both coming out swing and I hope it stays on the record. Which I believe it will unlike the Chris Brown and Quavo beef due to Chris Brown propensity for violence. I can't see Drake getting into fights or Kendrick Lamar either despite him being from Compton.
🔥
mayback... in May Kendrick is back !!!
6 16 is also canadian fathers day, so it could be something about Drakes fatherhood. Idk though
Drake a Disney star. He know nothing of the streets. Canada not that hard.
Drake was actually on the ellen degeneres show where he played never have I ever .. and also "You are not alone" is a Michael Jackson song..
This is beyond impressive
Luke 6:16 is a bible verse referring to Judas the traitor, which is more on theme for the song.
🤯
Dang, he released at 8:15. 😮
It’s crazy mf gotta brake.it down like this Kendrick extreme lyricist
He do the most tho like damn just say it in a more simple way so we don’t gotta do this
You still up? Drake released while you posted. 😂
You still up? Kendrick released while you were typing
@@rintintin_😂
Jokes on you 😂😂😂
And dat sht garbage
And k dot part 3
You know it’s real when pearl dropping back to back breakdowns 😂😂❤
I’ve been telling ya’ll Kdot is Lord Beerus of the Rap Game
Read Revelation 6, specifically verse 16. But the entire chapter seems used as a base for that Angel angle
You got it all right. But he also references MJ because he was taken out by someone close to him.
Got damn
Didn't have the sound in the beggining to represent Christopher Alvarez that proved the stuff he has is real
"High school pic you was even bad then" Yeeeeaaahhhh.
the comments are true, he limited his comments on family matters on ig and its filled with grown men glazing drake making it seem like he winning
Kdot also takes on a persona of Drakes ghostwriter in each song. Not like us he became Beam towards the end of the track
Yep. He was rapping like Drake in 6:16 at the beginning.
