- Hi Hobonichi Fans! We are back today with a new Team Yoseka Collection video to share Laura's Hobonichi cover collection! Laura has been using Hobonichi A6 planners consistently since around 2015 and has accumulated quite an impressive collection of A6 covers over the last 10 years - 35 covers to be exact! Tune in to see the amazing array of covers in this collection (it's like a Hobonichi museum!) and learn about Laura's favorites, Hobonichi communities, and interesting tidbits about Hobonichi and Mother. It usually drops in September?! I just bought my first one in JAN this year (2024).
@@blackcatvision_ @blackcatvision_ Last year was my first "drop," and I believe everything went on sale on Sept. 1st. However, they did previews of all the designs throughout the month of August. I'm certain Yoseka will be all over it this year as well!

Daisy is like an older sister who makes people get comfortable and start talking . She is probably a great boss and Laura this is such a great collection - I wish I could get these for my Hobonichis cause wow
i used to be in a really toxic workplace with an unsupportive manager and seeing how daisy and neil are so supportive of their team literally brings me to tears 🥹❤️
Loved this ❤ It was so nice to see Laura’s collection, and it was so lovely how much her covers and her love for Mother make her so happy. I think she was smiling the entire time and I bet most of us watching were smiling too! It was good to see such a lot of covers that maybe don’t get as much exposure in CZcams videos, and to hear Laura talk about her interests and passions was really lovely. Thank you 😊
Omg, this was awesome. Laura was so well-versed in the Hobonichi covers, I can see she did research on them, on previous editions and as well as the newer/current ones. I wish they brought back the covers with the back slit AND the cover and cover that allow you access to that back pocket.
I wish there was also a part 2 of all other covers that Laura collected, there were so many! And have her also talk about the accessories and anything Hobonichi!

What a great episode! I also look at my stuff not as a collection so I don’t fall into the trap of making things pristine & use them. The word “collection” gets used just so other people can understand & having memories with it is what makes it precious.

I'm also a gamer, although I haven't played Mother/Earthbound yet (it's been on my list!), it's so cool to see all these covers and to hear about the history behind them. I also definitely just ordered the Ask Iwata book 😅 haha, thank you for sharing that tidbit of Hobonichi being a part of it!

I only recently became aware of the depressed egg yolk character Gudetama, and I think that would be a great Hobo collab. Laura, this was great! I love knowing so many of us collect these quality covers and accessories! And, man oh man, the last minute or so of overflowing Hobonichi products on that table!!!! 🤤🥰 We need more fabric cat covers!!! And if anyone has the Beatles Blackbird cover from 2018 to sell, in excellent condition, let's chat. 💚
Ugh that was so fun to watch! Thanks for schlepping your whole collection Laura! My favorite cover is the Steiff collab… maybe it’s weird but I have the A6 version and the butterfly closure makes it look like a deconstructed mohair teddy bear. I work in the toy biz so it feels very relevant to me. Other than that, I’m a big Mina Perhonen fan, sadly for my wallet!

This was such a great video! My secret wish is that Hobonichi will one day collaborate with Toby Fox for a cover, since Undertale and Deltarune have so much in common with the MOTHER series.

Love the collection video series so far and enjoyed Laura's stories of her hobonichi journey. Would have loved to hear her share about the other non-Mother covers too. I think Hobonichi removed the years from their cover labels after they decided to keep their covers from previous years in the store, together with new releases. In the past, they would only put up new covers for the year in the store and archive all the ones from previous year.

My favorite are the Arts & Science leather covers, I have three and they’re my most used ones in the rotation. I also loved the Doraemon one from I think 2022 where you could switch the cover illustration under the cover on cover. And the bubble sheep was such beautiful leather. The PAMM cover this year has become an unexpected fav

Love seeing Laura’s collection! I think it’s also really fun to collect custom covers from independent creators. I didn’t love any of the 2024 covers so I got a cover from Etsy that’s perfect for me. Also I’ve been a Hobonichi fan for years and just finished playing all the Mother games for the first time and I’m reeling from the fact that Itoi created both 😂. Mother 3 fans have been asking for a western translation for years but I don’t think it’ll ever happen. There’s a ton of genderqueer characters, getting high on mushrooms, super explicit animal abuse, and tons of things Nintendo probably wouldn’t approve now haha. (The game handles the genderqueer characters okay, but it’s just one of those things that don’t get westernized / translated well.) Long info dump over, loved the video!!! 🩷🤍💙
I am a collector of Hobonichi covers too and I have been on a hunt for the Saul Leiter A5 cover which was released in 2022. T_T.
