    I am sick and tired of so called stylist damaging people's hair. five years ago a stylist damaged my hair with her relaxer and I had to shave my hair off. I just had my hair relax again by a different stylist and she has over processed my hair which is now breaking like crazy. These so called hair stylists need to be sue and pay for the distress they cause.

    I love my wave nouveau curly perm. I knew to choose an older beautician because I rocked it back in the 80s and forgot about it over the years. My hair loves moisture and this was the best thing for it. It's growing and thickening back up quickly. Since I wear my hair burgundy.. my natural color is 3 shades of brown blonde reddish 🤷🏽‍♀️ so I only need rinse for my color. I don't have to bleach or anything. I love the manageability of my hair now, that 4c was taking me through it.

    My hair looks just like hers. Damaged, falling out by the handful. I have to cut mines off as well. My hair is so wirey. It literally breaks off in my hands especially when it's wet. When dry, it comes out. It was a texturizer, I believe, because after the first application, my hair looked like a "curly kit." I'm going to to stick with natural hair this time for good. Beginning October 1.

    • @marleyhill34
      @marleyhill34 Před 2 lety +1

      You need to moisturize the hair daily with a spray mist and shower steam and weekly deep moisture condition with gentle indirect heat for 30 minutes. Your hair sounds like it's low porosity which is prone to build up and struggles to get moisture into the hair.

      I agree

    • @marleyhill34
      @marleyhill34 Před 2 lety +8

      I think people with coarse to medium strands, low porosity and those with a very tight coil are not taught how to get their hair soft and flexible so their hair always feels brittle and dry. I have a very tight coil but when I give it maximum hydration it becomes softer and looser. When I discovered this I laughed because my mother had my hair dry curled/wave nouveau when I was 11 when my hair was already curly! She just didn't know how to handle my hair and it took me 20 years to learn my hair. My hair is very tightly coiled but ultra-fine and has high porosity so it can't take too much physical, chemical or heat manipulation. The only way to loosen and smooth the curls is to moisturise my hair twice daily and deep moisture condition with heat weekly. My hair also needs a lot of protein to withstand general styling.

    U can get lined up in the front without having a hard line up like guys do. I believe it depends on the lady if she likes a nice crispy line up or not. I've seen and done several ladies that didn't look hard like a man with a frontal line up and still looked feminine and soft. It all depends on how the lady carries herself. U done a great job on her hair and really she didn't need that chemical service with the BEAUTIFUL natural curl pattern she has. Keep the great videos coming!!

    • @marleyhill34
      @marleyhill34 Před 2 lety

      A lot of people do not know how to manage their own texture of hair. So they go to the stylist and complain and in some cases demand a chemical service. It takes a strong kind of stylist to be firm and say no. I watched a stylist do a double process on a client. She was super precise in her application and she warned the client multiple times about damage. At each stage of the process, she pointed out to the client what their hair was doing and the client kept saying keep going. The client lost half her hair during the process but was still happy with the final result. She went from bum length hair to above bra strap length. What we didn't see was the at-home maintenance that this newly double processed hair needed after. This client clearly didn't like maintenance because she has double processed her hair before the second one and the hair just melted away like nothing. People think if your hair is breaking from chemicals that another chemical will fix it. No, only care, scalp massages and multiple monthly trims will fix it. Most people don't have the patience for that and your hair is going to look crazy for a year while you wait for the broken/damaged pieces to grow in...limiting your styling options. I had damaged thinning hair and I had to wear a head wrap for nearly a year.

    I recently did a big chop because my hair was in bad shape. I went to my stylist for a trim and shape. She shampoo and conditioned my hair . In the end she put a creme in my hair, I asked her what it was. She replied a leave in . I told her to write the name of the product down for me and she said I text you a photo of the bottle which she did. At 11:00 pm I was shampooing my scalp because it was itching and burning. I look at the text and it was Wave system creme. And I Googled it and has chemical which I am trying to stay clear of . Thanks . I won't be going back

    I did henna on my hair 6 months ago…my hair loved it. I kind of forgot I didn the treatment. I needed protein months later but didn’t feel like doing henna so I did aphogee 2 part treatment …babeee…my hair was coming out in chunks! I cut off 11 inches.

    I am in the process of losing my shoulder length hair. It's scary to see your hair fall off in huge clamps. I hope mine grows back too

    I like what you’ve done to your client’s hair to restore it and get it back on the right track. Regarding her style, I prefer a more natural hairline in the “kitchen” area 🙂. Not a fan of the straight across edge up. Overall, she’ll be so pleased with the beauty and simplicity of her new look, she’ll likely keep it and not grow it back out. Oh, and I’m about to order up a slew of your products 😁!

    You are always so honest. That's why I love your videos your talent is the icing on the top... Our hair is beautiful but instead of just letting it grow, I see so many videos on here with everything from ketchup to peanut butter being put on the hair to "grow" it. I wish we just live in our beauty and stay natural/ relaxed what ever but just do it right.

    I never had my hair colored. I've had relaxers in the past. But, I've been natural for a few years now. I wanted my family member, who is a stylist, put the wave nouveau in my hair. 1st, it never had that pretty curl pattern I've seen on other people. 2nd, every day my hair kept coming out in clumps😭. Now I have to start over again. 😔
